First watch Friday morning at 10:55 a.m. I was so excited to know that they opened up a First Watch in Short Pump, yay!! I immediately noticed the farm house decor, which I absolutely love. I was greeted and seated immediately. Which was really a treat considering the Huguenot location is always holding a wait list. I went with the Avocado Toast and Million Dollar Bacon. Come on First Watch, don't disappoint. After eating my first thought is... I think I found a new favorite restaurant!! I consider myself a bacon lover. We went here last minute but still placed a reservation since it was Valentine's Day brunch time. First off lots of parking. We came in no wait time but still advised the hostess of our reservation. We were seated promptly by the hostess with a smile on her face and were given our menus. Our waitress came immediately and offered hot beverages and water. She suggested a few of her faves which was great because neither of has never been here. We ordered and our food within 10 minutes! The ambience here was nice. Not too loud enough to hear each other talk. The restaurant was clean and tables weren't too close to each other. The restaurant had an open concept. Back to the food... I ordered Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon combo topped with onions. It was too much so I picked it off. But it was delish! I loved how the yolk of the egg just oozed out! We arrived at prime breakfast hour on a Sunday and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The simple, farmhouse style decor and table setups inside are lovely, and the whole place was impeccable clean. The outdoor seating area looked amazing and made me wish we had chosen to sit outside, though our seat inside was great. Our server was friendly, reviewed the menu with us, and offered advice on her favorite dishes. I was impressed as the fresh pressed juice options and the wide variety of breakfast, brunch, and lunch choices. We go French toast, and egg sandwich, and avocado toast - all were delicious! This was one of the best avocado toast I've ever had, which is impressive. Prices are reasonable. I don't remember how much we spent total for the three of us, but I did check the bill to make sure it was ours since the total was so low. We will for sure visit First Watch again. read more

Their call ahead is completely useless. You set up call ahead and are told 45 minutes, so you arrive after 20 minutes and then have to wait an hour. After being seated we watched a couple get up and leave in frustration after not receiving their order. Finally got to order and I went with the Tacos Al Pastor Hash which comes with Pork. First Watch has always been one of my favorite breakfast spots. They have a wide variety of healthy options and you can modify your meal. Beside each item on the menu, they provide the calories which is super helpful for those who are counting. In each section of the menu (sandwiches, omelets, etc.) they have their most popular of the choices boxed. There is lots of parking available, outdoor and indoor seating, masks required when not at your table, and arrows pointed in the direction of where you should walk in the restaurant. They provide a bar code on each table to look the online menu or have paper menus available that are thrown away after use. At the end of your meal, the water/waitress will give you a receipt that you pay for at the front. I got the Bacado omelet for the first time and it was delicious. It had cheese, bacon, and avocado in it with a lightly dressed mixed greens salad, and wheat toast with butter. It was filling but left me not feeling bloated! This will definitely be a meal I get again and recommend you go to First Watch if you're looking for a healthier, feel good option! read more

The staff were exceptionally nice and well trained it seemed. The traditional breakfast for me and BLT eggs benedict's for the fiancee. I subbed the toast for a biscuit because I judge the breakfast on how good the biscuit is.... This was unfortunately a frozen dry biscuit and after seeing all the pancakes/toast orders come out I knew I made a mistake. Definitely will come back to try other things off the menu! I will always have a special place for First Watch in my heart. My best friend and I frequented this restaurant many times prior to COVID. Since the pandemic this is the first time we've dined in, and we were actually really happy with social distancing protocols being followed. People were seated at tables at a distance from each other, and all the servers, waiters, and other workers wore masks. Came into First Watch on a Sunday for brunch. We were seated within 1 hour of arriving for two people. Upon entering the area outside is very nice adjacent to Short Pump mall. If waiting there is plenty to do accords the street. The staff was very pilot and diligent. In addition they send text and updates via yelp of your position on the waitlist. The food itself room around 25m to come out(Sunday brunch) which was expected. However, this food is very reasonably priced and delicious. I'd definitely recommend getting the potato's on the side. Ok, I'm not going to lie. I've been avoiding this place since it came into Short Pump for two reasons. First, I'm a breakfast snob. That's right. I said it. I know a good breakfast joint better than anyone I know. Secondly, I've been ignoring this place because of the stuffy, pretentious, "Typical-Henrico County" moms I always hear raving about it (y'all know EXACTLY what I mean). I don't like them, Sam I Am, and I'll usually avoid anything they like at all costs, but I accidentally wound up here, and I realized it's really good. In fact, it's not only really good, it'a really the only legitimately good breakfast place in this area. The breakfast snob said it, so that's settled. The atmosphere is great, the bread is great, and the bacon is stellar. The only thing that isn't stellar is how long it takes to get a seat, and I came here on a Tuesday morning! Wanted to give this new brunch place a try, especially since there aren't too many brunch options in short pump! The time I came here, the wait was over and hour and they suggested downloading the app to get on the list earlier for next time. We got the featured chickichanga and Floridian French toast. The chickichanga was alright, not as flavorful as some of the Tex-mex type brunch options I've had elsewhere. But the jam and fresh fruit that came with the French toast was very nice. I also tried the juice that someone else in these comments recommended, it was quite tasty.
