Simple and delicious breakfast in Sarasota! If you want good omelettes and hash options, plus yummy juices--then First Watch is the perfect spot. The Ham & Gruyere Omelette with the Morning Meditation juice was my favorite combo. They don't skimp on the meat, the omelette was overflowing with smoked ham. I could have used a little more gruyere, but that's just me. Morning Meditation juice was refreshing and a nice twist on a traditional cup of OJ. We ordered a couple times while in town and although the dishes can be a little heavy on the salt, the flavors are never lacking. We've been to First Watch on Tamiami Trail several times...according to my awesome niece "they have the best eggs!" Needless to say, they're kid friendly. This was our first visit to the First Watch on Main Street, and it was a great experience as well! We had our one year old daughter with us, and she absolutely LOVED the chicken sausage patties! Like the other location, you can tell they only use fresh ingredients--they also try to purchase local whenever possible, so it's nice that they support the local agriculture business. I've had a few different dishes and none have disappointed! This time we tried two of the specials, and they were great as well! My bride decided we should try this place this morning for brunch. She had something in the bottom of the menu. It was like a quinoa salad came with goat cheese, avocados all of the healthy stuff that she likes. She ate every bite and said it was fabulous. I had two eggs, hard covered with grilled onions and breakfast potatoes well done with onions and bacon crispy. I also got one of the cinnamon pancakes, which are the size of a plate. The coffee was good and the servers name was Jamon JAMON he was terrific. This is an easy five star. read more

'Ello chaps, First Watch is a breakfast chain restaurant located throughout, at least the State of Florida. They have a good variety of breakfast items. Most importantly, much of it is fresh and portions are plentiful. The downside is that it's a 'higher scale' style restaurant, so the mark up is quite considerable considering the price of just making breakfast at home. ill admit im a sucker for a good avocado toast and first watch does not disappoint with theirs. The restaurant has a chill atmosphere and usually isn't too full whenever i visit. Although there arent many vegan options on the menu getting a quick bite shouldn't be a problem here. read more

I love avocado toast. But I hate paying for it. That's because it's always expensive and rarely as good as I can make for myself. One exception: First Watch! If you want a farm to table healthy brunch this is the place to go! The flavors here are phenomenal, and I think we will be eating here every day of our vacation stay! Excellent breakfast / brunch place with a home-cooked style of plates. Entering here sunday noon brings you to a queue meaning only one thing: this must be good. Accommodating myself at the shared table, I saved those 15-30 minutes. I learned the juices are naturally prepared in the morning, and tasty my order was, indeed. I also ordered classic eggs benedict on top of chiapatta which I enjoyed fully. This place is a tourist trap. The food sucks. Service is fine. It's clean enough. Just an overpriced Denny's with a good location. I'm talking dry potatoes, they don't include all the fancy ingredients the menu claims, etc. Everything is like a 5 out of 10 if that. Ingredients are generally dry, old, cold, or overcooked. They don't care. Don't waste your money here. Find another local spot that's not a chain that actually cares about making good food and not just ripping people off with subpar crap. First Watch is a pretty nice breakfast spot to come to if your in the area. Literally only a few minutes while on foot from the water. Inside it feels almost like a nice rustic feel and inviting place. Plenty of people were here during the weekend. Got a cup of black coffee and also an avocado toast that came with two eggs. Overall service was quick and so was the food. The avocado toast was pretty huge and it was cut in the middle for easy holding. Sprinkled with some sea salt, pepper and something else besides avocado, it tasted great!! I don't know what else is in here but damn I could eat this avocado for every meal and I'd still love it! The eggs are simple and easy and the meal was not too expensive! Glad I decided to just go for it and enjoy a nice meal here. We walked from our hotel on a early morning Sunday to find a place for breakfast. I had read favorable reviews on a place called First Watch and I thought we should give it a try. The streets of downtown Sarasota were very quiet and we did not see any other people wandering the streets like ourselves. It was at first kind of creepy. We eventually found the restaurant which had a very few people dining. We ordered the healthy avocado on grain toast with two eggs up which was wonderful. At this specific location, you can find friendly service and delicious food (I know from how they cook eggs). I appreciate the consistency among the various locations I've visited. For breakfast, First Watch has a nice selection of both savory and sweet favorites. I've had their Benedict's and avocado toast the most. I've also enjoyed seasonal favorites like pumpkin pancakes. All of it has been satisfying. The have not tried lunch at First Watch. First Watch is always the dependable brunch option. Although I think my hometown First Watch is better. I ordered the Summer Blush Drink (watermelon, pineapple, fuji apple, lemon, cane sugar, and mint) and it was delightfully refreshing for a steamy hot FL day. For brunch, I ordered the elevated egg sandwich. As always, the bacon at First Watch is always on point. I wish the egg was cooked over medium (at least) since the yolk spilled all over the bottom of the sandwich before I picked it up. My husband and I stopped in on a busy Saturday 6/1/24 to talk to someone about our plans to bring in our father the next day his 99th birthday. I knew they didn't take reservations but this day manager (I think her name was Monica) was extremely sweet and graciously asked which table we wanted and she'd make sure the staff were aware of his big day. BOY, did they ever go OVER AND BEYOND!! Jessica Smith was the manager on duty and they had the table ready and the entry way chalk board had a special message for our Mr Herb Snyder. We all cheered when he came in! We had a table setting they helped us with. They had ALL signed a menu along with sweet messages AND Jessica/staff had gone out earlier and bought Herb a cake?!?!? What?!?!? Everyone including the patrons made his day EXTREMELY special and unforgettable! I cried several times of joy and amazement at these young, polite, extremely hospitable staff members. They all sang Happy Birthday and had chipped in on the bill-WHAT?!?!? Herb was extremely touched for getting so much attention he cried a little too! Best service I've ever experienced and will always be indebted to First Watch and their extremely wonderful employees!!! It's good, not great. It's a chain and I have my reservations about chains. But the avocado toast was good and the fruit cup contained real, ripe, sweet honeydew melon. That got them an extra star here. I can't find good honeydew melon in stores, restaurants, or even farm stands. I've had good honeydew maybe twice in the past fifteen years. Usually, when I come across a piece of honeydew, it's hard and flavorless. Finding a piece of good honeydew was a very happy event for me.
