Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict was what I ordered. I love getting brunch and was surprised that they didn't have mimosas for a brunch place. The yolk in my eggs Benedict was fully cooked which is so disappointing. The best part of a Benedict is seeing the yolk run out so I really couldn't call what I got a Benedict. I ordered the cheese grits and they were so bland that they didn't taste like anything. Nice presentation and atmosphere but the quality of the food isn't there. read more

Cool place, friendly staff, but the food took way too long: 30-40 min (yes, it came in waves). One dish was cold, as if it were prepared first then sat uncovered while the others were being prepped. The manager comp'd us the meal that took 40 min and gave us two $10 vouchers, which was the right thing to do. However, the vouchers were only good for three more days, so..... This restaurant has potential, but we'll give this place a few weeks to tighten up before we consider returning. read more

The menu selections and food were fabulous. Our server was great and helpful. However, it is not a quiet place. It was very busy and the acoustics were not great. Too noisy! I did enjoy my food. The potatoes were excellent, creamy in the center and not over done on the outside. Most places do not get it right. The grilled tomatoes were delicious, very much so. My husband says his was ok. He had the French toast, and it did look a little dry. The bacon was good, but a little over hyped. I don't think he will go back, too much noise for him. Food is good but they appear to be severely understaffed. Waited 30 mins for a table even though there were a ton of tables open that just needed to be cleaned off. Took a while to get our food too. Twice I have tried to call in orders for pick up. The first time I was told that call in orders are not allowed. The second time I was told that I had to come in, place the order and wait. Both times I explained that I am a disabled veteran with multiple physical issues. I am unable to come myself but on both of these occasions, I had a neighbor willing to come and pick food up. I had to speak to 3 different people the first time, all who acted as if I was the biggest pain in the tail for asking to call in an order, however, at the end of the call I was told that in the future just to explain that I was disbled from the beginning and I would have no problems. While I found this to be bothersome, I understand that there are policies to follow. So... this morning I call, and I explain from the beginning I am disabled. I was told the restaurant could accommodate my request for a to go order for pick up. I am put on a very long hold, then told i must come in, order and wait. I explain that I just had surgery, I am a disabled veteran and I have someone willing to pick up food, but I cannot come. The girl got very snippy with me and basically told me too bad and not my problem. I told her I was asking for a fair and reasonable accommodation afforded to me under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Another long hold, then a very snippy, what do you want. So, I placed the order, but I will not, ever again. The way this establishment treats people with disabilities is disgusting. No one should have to beg or threaten for a simple request. read more

Our first visit did not disappoint! Lemon ricotta and chocolate chip pancakes were huge, fluffy and tasty. We appreciated the convenience of a carafe of coffee and a pitcher of water left at the table. Pleasant, efficient waitress. Absolutely love this place! My family and I go here quite often and always have a great experience. I am always impressed with not just the staff (we love our reg wait staff and the manager Nikki!) but the cleanliness of the restaurant as well. Right now with this corona virus mess going around a lot of people are taking extra precautions. I witnessed this yesterday when I was there for lunch. I only giving this two stars because I love first watch. However it took us 15-20 minutes after we were seated to even be greeted by our server. Took 10 minutes after that to get our drinks (which she ended up sticking her finger in) then took our food order. Another 15 minutes later she brought out a replacement drink which the ice was almost completely melted in making the drink very watery. Then we sat there for about 35 minutes to get our food. We ordered two meals and one shareable. We never got the shareable, she also messed up both orders. By this time we were already there for roughly an hour and a half. We asked for to-go boxes and the check. That took her another 10 minutes and then she didn't bring enough boxes and messed up our check which she had to go fix. We were there for almost two hours and weren't able to eat because our food took so long to come out. Mind you, every table that was seated after us that she was serving received their food before us. She checked on us a total of three times the entire time we were there. Another server even stepped in to ask if she had helped us yet because she noticed we were sitting there for so long with no drinks, no food, and still had our menus. Came here today with my husband for brunch. It was late AM on a Sunday, so we were prepared to wait. Thankfully we only had to wait for 20 min before we were seated. But basically all 4 tables in our waiter's section were sat one after the other, so it took awhile for him to make to us, despite having been sat first of all the other tables. We finally were able to place out order, only to wait just shy of AN HOUR for our food to come out. Which again, we were sat first, but every other table around us received their food before us. Once the food finally arrived, the waiter just dropped it on the table and walked away. No apology for the wait, no nothing. We both ordered different versions of eggs Benedict... The hollandaise sauce was cold, and the yokes in both our dishes were hard, not even close to runny, which is what you look forward to in eggs Benedict. What I got was a traditional breakfast (there are only two traditional breakfasts, not counting pancakes, waffles & French toast), the other items are too "hipster" for my taste. They bring a pitcher of water (an old fashioned milk jug) to the table & for the coffee drinkers, a coffee pot. The restaurant is in a mini mall storefront, which is fine, but only negative thing, & why it has three stars is because when you first walk in the restaurant is in your face; there's not a foyer; I hate that. Let me set the scene for you. 5 mths ago It's myself bf brother and bestie. We're ordering brunch....said brunch shows up to the table. There's what looks to be a dog hair in my grits. The manager (whom I didn't know was the manager because he had on a Dickey's BBQ shirt) comes over to the table... His resolution was to bring me my order again...new order comes out hair is in that as well..that's it there was no resolve...we go to pay..and I still had to pay for hairy food. No, we are so sorry..no, we got you next time...no, don't worry about paying for hairy food today we'll do better in the future..just that'll be $$.$$ this was 5mths ago...end scene..new scene, a new day, YESTERDAY I decided ok self we're gonna give them another go. I decided to treat myself because I actually liked their food despite the service and hair that I've had from them (which by the way never had a problem with a server it was always management, until YESTERDAY ) I ordered food to go...a friend said they would join me..I asked if I could get a table instead,and here's the kicker the manager said yes no problem, I sat myself and I waited on my friend in the mean time my to go order is ready and placed on the table in front of me...ok no prob I'll snack while I wait for my Friend. Now mind you the place was packed before I got there and there were at least 3-4 tables of people who were just talking...their plates had been cleared or they were just finishing their food..I paid attention, so after about 15 min of waiting on my friend, whose now running behind because, life, a server who is not my server comes to the table doesn't even bend down to say this so that means the surrounding tables heard him, with a look of disgust looks at his watch and says "ma'am how much longer are you going to be we need this table?" I don't know however long it takes for my party to show up. I was fumming at this point...I said a choice word because how dare you...I asked to speak with the manager. He also happens to be the same person who told me I could dine in after I placed a Togo order..i said why would he come to my table and say that to me when there were other people who were done eating. why'd he single me out? Why say that at all? and the only thing I kept thinking while I'm explaining to him about what just happened and asking questions is he looks like he just checked out....do you want to know what he said, literally nothing, I asked him if he thought that was right of the server and his reply he shook his head no and said no. THATS IT THATS WHAT I GET? I tipped my server $20 Because it wasn't her fault and she did a great job considering she had about 4 tables if not more..I tipped my last server 5 mths ago $20 because hair in my food wasn't her fault...but what I'm not gonna do is give one more dime to an establishment that doesn't take pride in resolving issues with their clientele. Communication is key and they are lacking it. If you happen to get great service and great food from them congratulations you've won. I on the other hand unless someone is buying my food for me from that establishment will not be returning.....end scene... Thank you for your time. read more

Very Good Quality Relatively small menu but wide variety nonetheless and very good quality ingredients. Service is always good. Made 5-6 visits. Nice option to have small salad as a side, instead of potatoes. Great homemade fruit jam. Need to fix toaster....and start toasting the toast. Otherwise it is just a piece of warmed bread. read more

I was really looking forward to this place after a weekend in Shreveport. But it was absolutely awful. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the food was awesome. That is when it finally came out. We got there about noon and there was a decent after church crowd so we waited about 40 minutes to be seated. We got seated and our server took about 10 minutes to greet us but she ran by saying she'd be by ASAP and would "make it up to us" for making us wait. No sure what that means in her world but she did the complete opposite. She got our drink order - took 20 minutes to bring our drinks. Then took our order. An hour later this place has almost cleared because they close at 2:30 - and families that sat down way after us have eaten and left - we finally get our food. Irritated and mainly hangry, we ask if it usually takes that long. She answers yes, usually 30 mins... puzzled by her answer we ask to speak to a manager. While waiting for the manager a friend finds a "hair" in her quinoa. It looks more like a hair from a basting brush so we just shrug it off. But we mention it to the manager and he says okay and says he'll comp her food. Then we mentioned waiting an hour for food, to which he says okay again. Come to find out once we received our tickets we see that our server didn't ring in our food for 30 mins after taking our order. Sad to say we won't be returning. Maybe the location back home will be better if we decide to give it another go. read more

When this first opened it was wonderful. I was there today and it has gone downhill. The food was ok, but not great. Our waitress was fine, but more transactional than friendly. What wasn't ok was waiting on our food for almost an hour. The restaurant wasn't busy, so I am not sure why the food took so long. The bathrooms was disgusting. Empty rolls of toilet paper all over the floor, toilet paper everywhere. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. When restaurants don't take care of the bathroom, a public area, I just assume that they don't take care to have a clean kitchen either. read more

I'm a retired combat military veteran who was invited here by a veteran who is currently serving. My combat buddy has been here numerous times and this was my first. The server was indeed very friendly but it took a while for the food to come out, whichhis meal came out. She did seem to not speak more when a manager was at the table. She did do suggestive selling which is a plus. I'm a former restaurant manager so I know a little bit how the business works. At the end of the meal, the server asked how was our meal and we both explained our dissatisfaction with our order. She instead just brought our ticket without offering to get a manager. We eventually asked another server to talk with a manager. Now the managerp was awesome! I was just explaining to my buddy what a manager should do since I had prior experience, and this manager went above and beyond. I will definitely possibly give this restaurant a send chance due to management customer service. read more

I like first watch, I do; I also considered it a nice option for when Another Broken Egg is extremely busy. But todays visit was markedly different from the rest and the only difference I could detect was the new manager Michelle. She made me feel like a second rate customer and one that didn't even ping on her radar as for customer service anyone should receive. I came in to place a to-go order, I see her at the hostess stand and just assumed she was a hostess. Unlike other times when the hostess placed my order she said she would find someone to take my order then proceeds to go bus tables. I would like to add so there was no one waiting to be checked out or anything of the sort she just left me there to go attend to tables that other servers were also busing in the area. She comes back to tell me that she's still waiting on someone to take my order. Now why she couldn't I still don't understand because she was there at the hostess stand waiting for other people. Minutes go by and an older lady comes in and says she's waiting for her companion before being seated, she's offered water and she goes to sit down in the waiting area. I am still standing at hostess stand waiting for someone to take my order. Never once in the 30 odd minutes I was in the restaurant did Michelle EVER offer me water or anything else. She never ONCE went to check on my order until after I had waived a waitress over to check on it myself , she only asked me if I wanted to pay after three other waitresses had checked on me. She made frequent eye contact but never uttered a word or anything of the nature. YET the waiters saw how long I had been there and offered me refreshments and my ticket among other things. These are basic common courtesies in food and hospitality industry, not only that but it is something the hostess did herself when I was there the previous times I visited First Watch. Even if those hostesses went over and beyond , Michelle is a MANAGER and should be ensuring I am getting what I need not ignoring my existence. I didn't need her to chat me up as she did others that checked out , I didn't need a buddy -buddy interaction but to feel like I'm invisible is not ok. What makes it even worse is what I observed of how Michelle interacted with other people in the restaurant itself. It is drastic to use the race card but I was the only person she treated that way other than the staff. I resemble the staff in race not the majority of customers that she was overly bubbly with. Which was another thing that compounded the problem as I sat there waiting.   So, I cannot and will not in good conscious go back to that restaurant as long as Michelle is working there. Not only does she need to be observed when she's not aware of it so that others can see how that would affect the business. But she is in dire need of some sensitivity training. read more

The hostess said well people usually check in on the app so it's going to be another 20 mins! WTH?! How does that even make sense. So if I check in on the app right now I could come in and be seated before someone that walked in 30 mins before I even thought about getting up to go eat? Not everyone is stuck to their phones checking in at restaurants when they want to stop to grab a bite to eat. Definitely annoyed! read more
