It's a hidden gem, which has a welcome atmosphere and the food is very good. Something different rather than the chain resturants which are all the same with no excitement or flavor

Amazing food and service. We were on our way out of town and stopped in for lunch and I am so glad we did. We ordered a sampler platter, and few arepas. We ended up ordering a sampler platter for the road as it was so delicious. The staff were extremely friendly, and helpful. My husband travels to Shreveport for military drill every month and said he will definitely be back here.

So we decided to stop in for a late lunch. The staff were so kind, we came in about an hour before they closed!!! The food was amazing!!! The restaurant was clean and well put together! Will definitely return!!

Notice how lovely their entry is, so inviting! They even have a QR code at the door! Awesome restaurant, food, atmosphere and service!

We are So Excited to discover Miami Latin Kitchen! Oh what an answer to our prayers to finally find homemade, man-sized, delicious, perfectly seasoned and authentic empanadas! We were driving around, looking on Waze but we couldn't find the location. Then the next day we tried again and when we saw the orange chairs outside, we couldn't wait to go inside the lovely restaurant! It is so clean, beautiful with a warm welcoming atmosphere, and comfortable seating with beautiful food, wonderful staff and scenic entertainment too! Both the lady and the man who waited on us were so kind and professional as they offered us a taste test of a mini pork sandwich and a bit of yummy cinnamon rice pudding while we waited for our order of three corn empanadas of #21, 23 and 24, see the chart below. WOW each empanada, or as some Louisianans call them, meat pie, was so scrumptious, man-sized and large that we cut them in half so we could enjoy more the next day! We also saw sweet tea and lemonade as well as other drink options while we waited comfortably at a lovely table, watching the soccer game, then beautiful scenery from Venezuela. They serve breakfast, lunch and brunch. Check them out! You won't regret it! Thanks, Miami Latin Kitchen! 21. Pabellon: Shredded beef, plantain, black beans and cheese 8.99 22. Shredded beef 23. Chicken 7.99 24. Cheese 7.99 25. Ground Beef 7.99 We just couldn't believe how many delicious items were on the menu! Every kind of empanada we enjoyed on other trips, with both corn and wheat options and all kinds of fillings, from bacon, pork, chicken, cheese and beef. Oh and everything we ordered was so very mouthwatering that we will definitely be back for more!

Owners were nice. Food was good. The Cuban sandwich used a pork chop instead of sliced pork. I had not seen that before.

He ordered The Old Same Place drink (old fashioned spinoff), and I got the Broadmoor Norteño. Both were good; mine was spicier than anticipated--made me drink a lot of water with it, which is good for me lol. I got the calamari special. It was good, not the best I've had but good. I also ordered the halibut special. It was buttery and nutty and amazing and the Brussels sprouts were perfectly salty and the potato puree and carrots made me more excited for Thanksgiving coming up! Hubby ordered the dry aged salmon special, which he also thoroughly enjoyed. He will be back during lunch sometime to try the fish and chips to see if they compare to his experience in the UK. He is dubious yet hopeful. Overall, great date night place!

From the moment we walked in, this place felt warm, welcoming, and real -- not trendy, not flashy, just genuinely good. The food was the star of the show. The pupusas were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft, cheesy, and flavorful on the inside, served with bright, tangy curtido that tied everything together beautifully. The rice and beans were simple in the best way -- seasoned like someone's grandma was back in the kitchen -- and the plantains were caramelized, buttery, and impossible to stop eating. You could tell everything was made with care, patience, and pride, not rushed or reheated. Portions were generous, prices were fair, and the service was friendly without hovering. If you love bold, comforting, homemade flavors, this is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back -- and soon.

The spices are different and not too spicy hot at all. My favorite is their pupusas with choice of meats, veggies and cheese. Also the chicken enchilada is great. Guacamole show was delicious and came with a variety of fresh salsas to try. Really appreciated the small, focused menu and attention to quality. My favorite bite hands down was the Gringas Al Pastor tacos. The grilled pineapple on it was just *chefs kiss*. The Biste tacos were okay. Also tried the Camaron and although the shrimp was great I think they were overshadowed by the ratio of mixed greens. Another highlight was the wonderful speed and professional service by our waiter Fordham, very impressed. Clean bathroom. Was a little less impressed when I asked to be seated not 2 feet away from a family with several fussy children and was met with a kind of a scowl and "I'll see if that can work" on an empty patio otherwise. Just wanted a peaceful atmosphere and more of a choice of where we were seated would've been nice. But overall great experience and will return.
