So I went online to reserve a spot and was advised to check in upon arrival as I did. The app said I had 10 minutes before the rude little duo at the front advised it would be an additional 20 to 30 minutes and 15 people were in front of me. So they sat about 10 people and it was 35 minutes later so I circled back to learn that it was still 11 people in front of me.... I'm not a mathematician but I can add and subtract and basic math was telling me something was off. So 30 minutes after waiting the initial 30 minutes and thinking they are on nail shop time I was finally seated. I waited an additional hour for my food to come out and it was little and dry. I ordered the tri fecta via uber eats. as I got my order it was not only wrong but extremely under prepared throughout the meal. my waffle was missing, my eggs were undercooked and old presenting. so despite the inconvenience I drove to the store to ask for a remake. the hostess with green Aubrey hair was amazing and the only reason I decided not to go completely off. having great customer service saved them a headache this day. what was more disappointing was seeing the manager who didn't seem to have any urgency nor care that his kitchen was under performing. 25 minutes pass I finally get my food. correct you're wondering.. no. now I have my waffle but still missing my French toast. I finally got my food the second time and everything seems to be right this time. Thankfully the lovely host told me to check again. I've been coming here for several years now. It just registered that I've not given the compliments this restaurant deserves. Yes there is always a wait if you do not go early, however there are apps you can use to get your name on the waitlist prior to getting there. The food is great, everything I've tried I've really enjoyed. What I like most is the fresh presses juices. There are typically three to chose from and one changes out which I Like so I can try different ones. Fresh ingredients, great flavors, and a bit of a healthy twist. This is a breakfast joint you leave and don't feel guilty, because delicious can be healthy. Food: I had the classic TRIFECTA. What a treat. The eggs were cooked perfectly to my liking, over medium. I ordered a side of potatoes, put the eggs on top of the potatoes, and created a wonderful creamy breakfast pseudo-skillet. I got the waffle instead of the pancake. Nice and fluffy, held a nice chewy consistency, even though drenched in butter and blueberry compote. I don't appreciate waffles that cannot hold their own against condiments. This waffle def won that battle. My BF got the SKILLET HASH-MARKET, sans eggs. He is a vegetarian, and the vegetarian options are slim here. But this was a great selection. Perfectly seasoned and cooked potatoes mixed in with veggies, mozzarella, and goat cheese. Now for me, the little bits of goat cheese, mixing together with the red peppers, with a garlicky hue from the shallots... perfection. My BF did point out that the potato to veggie ratio was not proportionate. May need a smidge more veggies. Service: Our server seemed to have gotten quite a few tables at once. Don't let the green color fool you, it is wonderful on the palate. My BF had the STRAWBERRY SMASH from the seasonal menu- strawberry, lemon, and basil. Great summer option as well. So far so good, I'm waiting for my food to come. It's nice and early so it's not crowded. I ordered the Healthy Turkey and a Kale Tonic. The Kale Tonic is really tasty. Can't wait for my food to come to the table. I really wanted to try the Avocado toast but sold as a meal, which means I have to come back another day just to try it. My food arrived and I was hoping my toast would have been hotter. The Strawberry preserves are good. The Healthy Turkey is okay. I will say that my server checked on me just once after getting my food and with that she also gave me my bill. She didn't ask if I wanted anything else. She wasn't very attentive and the restaurant is not crowded. The feta cheese on my healthy turkey gives it a nice flavor. Needless to say I'm full and I haven't finished eating all my food. I'm not completely blown away with my food and I've been waiting awhile to check this place out. I will give it another try because I want to try the avocado toast and the Kale Tonic is so good. Hopefully my next trip will be even better. Ok, I have been back to first watch several times now since my first visit. Each time gets better and today I've finally made it with the whole family. I was on my way to my mother's house when she called me and asked if I would like to meet with my brother for brunch instead of at the house. We agreed and she'd suggested this place. Since I was driving at the time from Chamblee, I had *no idea* it would literally close 1 1/2 hours after we'd talked. Running in at 2:17pm, feeling nervous and peeved because Atlanta drivers don't know how to do for what, apparently, they had examinations and carry licenses - drive courteously - I sat down and felt badly because I'm probably literally that last order they have to cook before closing. Our server was a nice, down-to-Earth, forgiving woman who found no problem in my timing. "I'm good just as long as we get you fed," she said. Bless her. I took to the pitcher of decaf coffee that was there on the table (conceivably my mother had ordered it and I'd asked for some too on the phone since I was running behind) and poured myself a cup along with some vanilla creamer and sugar out of the most interesting holder I've ever seen. When my brother called me, he'd asked if I wanted to order anything so it would all come out at the same time. I'd asked what they had, and he'd replied the menu was so extensive that it was probably best I order when I got there. Calming-down me flitted back and forth through the menu for glaringly immediate vegetarian options, and after two passes I saw a veggie burger. It comes with soup or a green salad; I thought the soup might take a little longer than the salad, so I went with the greens. The kitchen literally next to us, I could hear them yell "VEGGIE BURGER!" I giggled. While they were cooking it, apparently, my mother's and brother's food came out: two omelettes with sides, and my mother had greens as well. They seemed to like what they had. Within literally 6 minutes, my food came out. I put some ketchup in and I dived into it. The veggie burger patty seemed house-made, but it was consistent. I'd partly expected it to fall apart as I've experienced in other handmade veggie burgers, but it didn't. Hooray! It was flavorful, and it hit that spot you need filled when you haven't eaten since around 9am. The greens resemble the artisanal lettuce packaged greens you get at the supermarket. Nothing special, really, but whatever dressing they'd tossed with it was nice and lightly sweet. Meanwhile, the staff were doing their closing tasks, and a charming little girl played assistant to our server when a couple of the creamer pods dropped on the floor. When our bills came, the server told us we pay at the register, and, plates collected, we went to pay. The host at the register was machine-like, and by her demeanor and manner, she seemed like she really was concentrating on leaving. When I'd asked her, she confirmed it and seemed to lighten up a bit when it seemed I understood her " work mode". I also overheard her telling another customer who'd asked if the owner comes to the restaurant that he very rarely does, but that there's a manager available at all times. That interaction was a little strange and probably didn't help her mood. I like this place, first glance. It's bright, and the server especially made a good impression. The menu - although I probably shouldn't use this specific word because I was actually listening to a podcast that went into the actual definition and analytical etymology of it - seems a little Byzantine if you're trying to look at it in a hurry and with a disheveled head. It probably has a logic to it, though. I hope to give it another go sometime when I have more time and am not huffing at the person who wouldn't let me into the turn lane. read more

First visit to first watch was in Florida and definitely had to try it again. Was seated promptly and our serve greeted us and made sure we had our drinks and food on time. I went there last Monday. We were going to Peachtree Cafe but it was closed. So we decided to go back to first watch. OMG, what happened!! The place was just ok before Covid 19. The biscuits and gravy along with the grits sucked. OMGOMGOMG, NOW THE FOOD IS AMAZING! I go there three times for the biscuits and gravy.(AWESOME). PLEASE ORDER THE CHEESE GRITS OR REGULAR GRITS. (TO DIE FOR). Everything was perfect. I asked about the changes to the food and they told me they had complaints when they closed, so they decided to make changes to how the food was cooked and WOW. I am glad I waited to write my review because my first visit here was not as good. But given that I have eaten at various other locations, I knew I had to give them another chance. I was happy that I did. The service was absolutely fabulous. Our server was super friendly. I hate that I don't remember his name. Ugh! If I go back, I will update my review ;) Anyway, even though I did not get their pancakes, I have to mention how great their pancakes are. That is what reeled me in from my first visit. And they are huge. My favorite is blueberry and it is served with a small cup of blueberry compote to put on top. Yummy! This particular visit I had the Pesto, chicken, quinoa power bowl and a kale tonic. Yes, I am eating healthy and they make it easy. The kale tonic is a little sweet. I think there are pineapples in it and it is good. I wish I could make it at home. The power bowl is awesome! I love the way this is prepared and it is sooooo good. I started adding kale to some of my quinoa dishes at home. Great way to get those green veggies in! My daughter got a chickichanga which was recommended by the server and was a grand slam with her. Terrible experience yesterday ordering takeout around 10:30am. I placed an order that included two meals. One happened to be gluten free. Was told it would take about 15 minutes to prepare. Granted the restaurant was busy and getting busier as the time went on. After sitting in the car about 20 minutes I arrived back inside and my order was not ready. After about 7 minutes they bring my order but with just one meal. The greeter/cashier explains to the waitress that there is another meal that was handled separately because it was gluten free. I continued to wait another 15 minutes for my 2nd order to be ready of course after asking the greeter about it. Once my total order was received, the greeter just handed it to me with no words. A real customer focused restaurant would have offered me some type of apology for the time, thanked me for my patience or said something. Truly doubt that I would return to this location. Owners, please train the people you have representing your business if you want to stay in business. read more

I like to tell first time diners that First Watch is like Denny's perhaps a little cleaner. After taking them to First Watch they are more than relieved, they know they have been mislead and are impressed. We've gone to multiple locations and find they all share the same attributes: prompt service, good food and lots of customers. Parking can be a problem also so be prepared. As for recommendations I love the smoked salmon frittatas and the market veggie sandwich. There are many great menu items to explore including more traditional items. Great way to start your day. First watch is usually an out of the way place for me, but when I found myself cutting through Snellville on a Sunday Morning, I made the trip on over. Very friendly bunch that meets you at the door, and before 9 am they were already packed for breakfast. I got a to go order, and took on the Veg'd out omelet ($8.79), which came with Crimini mushrooms, zucchini, onions, tomatoes, broccoli with Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. The Omelet comes with a side of seasoned potatoes and an English muffin. The Omelet, especially for take home, was delicious. It wasn't so stuffed that all the contents fell out when I sliced at it with my knife and fork, but it was filled with a lot of good veggies and bursted with flavor. Sadly I didn't notice that you could substitute egg whites at no additional charge, otherwise I would've done so. That just gives me an opportunity to come back. The English Muffin was lightly toasted and buttered, and they provided strawberry Jam (smuckers) for it. I thought it was tasty. The seasoned potatoes were diced and grilled, and my only complaint I could find is some of the potatoes were under cooked, being very crunchy and almost raw. Outside of the 3 or 4 pieces that weren't done, I enjoyed the flavor. Located at the intersection of Scenic Hwy and Pharrs road, getting in and out is not an issue at all. Parking is shared in this little strip, and I could see how parking might be an issue, but on this day, there wasn't a parking issue in the least. They operate from 7 am to 2:30 pm, and accordingly serve breakfast, brunch and lunch. Nice breakfast spot in an area where good breakfast locations are limited! read more

Quick Tips: It is open 7am-230pm. You'll probably have to wait at least 20 minutes if you get here after 11:00am and the parking lot is packed on the weekends. Also, they have free wifi and newspapers & free hot coffee while you wait. Why did it take so long for a good brunch place in Snellville?! Snellvillians love brunch! Today I tried their pumpkin pancakes breakfast. Tastes awesome! It has the right amount of pumpkin: sweetness ratio. It comes with a piece of Chicken & Apple sausage which is good, but the main awesome part of it is the pumpkin pancake. It is a HUGE pancake too. You can definitely split with someone. It tastes even better with butter and maple syrup. I got my eggs omelette style with cheese which were pretty good, but nothing special. My cousin got the chickichanga and butternut squash and both tasted awesome also. The butternut squash soup is on the sweeter side and the chickichanga has fresh grilled chicken with a slightly spicy sauce that compliments it perfectly.
