I love this place! I have not had a breakfast that I did not believe was great. The freshness of the ingredients is wonderful along with the service. It's a little busy so if you get there early, you have no problem. I only hope that it's popularity remains. If it doesn't, more time and space for me to continue to try different things. So this place is better than J. Christopher's, and not quite as good as Murphy's (highlands). I've been twice to try different things, the killer Cajun omelet is tasty, and so are the pancakes. The portions are huge, go there with an appetite! Service is great, always a full house. Parking is scarce on the weekends, and the ass of a security guard will rudely let you know where you can and cannot park if you are dining at first watch (he is not employed by the restaurant). Also, I thought the story behind the name was pretty cool, it has military roots, which I love. This place is definitely worth trying a couple of times. read more

To mimic some other reviews -- the food was very good, the service was terrible. Our waiter was very pleasant, but it seemed like an eternity to get our food. We watched a party of 3 get up and walk out after sitting unattended for so long. One last comment -- a member of our party found a rubber ball in her salad. When it was brought to the waiter's attention, he replaced her entire meal and took the item off our bill. He said it was part of a handle of one of the waffle makers. He was very professional and handled the situation perfectly. Oddly, her second meal came to our table very quickly, unlike the eternity it took for the first one. read more

My sister and I decided to have brunch at First Watch yesterday. I expected to have a great meal, but was served the breakfast scramble with a side of fruit and a maggot (in my fruit). I am truly disgusted! Not only did the waiter and manager try to insult my intelligence by telling me it was not a maggot or a bug (their words because it was not moving)-(like bugs don't die or something), the manager lied and stated it was a piece of shaved ham(I guess shaved ham/meat has legs and a head). I looked at him like the idiot he was for that comment. HE had the nerve to offer me something else, I stated I will never eat here again, and then he said my meal was taken care of. I stated I wouldn't pay for maggots. I did not receive an apology but they tried to make it appear I was a fool. Too bad for them I took pictures and video. D-lush-us! Went here for a Saturday brunch with my sisters. I had the pancakes, eggs and hash browns. My sister had the french toast. My other sister had the eggs with hollandaise sauce. We tasted each other's dishes and they were all fab. The french toast still had a little crisp to it which I liked (I hate soggy french toast). This was our first time eating here. We noticed the parking lot at this shopping center was packed the past couple of weeks. We saw FirstWatch restaurant at the corner of the shopping center and that it was always packed with customers. After a short wait, despite the packed lobby, we had a thoroughly enjoyable breakfast with delicious coffee - Chickichanga and Cinnamon Pancake Breakfast. The manager of the restaurant needs to implement some positive changes if they want repeat customers. Yes they were busy BUT your people need to put a smile on their face and greet customers waiting to spend money. Two people behind the cash register. Customers trying to pay their bill and cutomers walking into the restaurant. Your staff? Could care less. Young female and male. August 9 around 12:30. I got outvoted as I saw impending problems. Hire more waitstaff!! No wonder the orders are wrong. Felt bad for them. They apologized for your kitchen. Food was good but customers are not going to tolerate these conditions. Varied and delicious menu but this location is poorly managed. Wait staff is doing double duty as bus boys so frequently there are tables waiting to be cleaned with people waiting for long periods of time. Our food came out cold and our waitress was so busy with a large party she never followed up with us. Long wait for food (over 30 minutes) and long lines and cold food. We decided to check out First Watch because we were in the area, I had just recently heard about the chain for the first time, and my husband wasn't feeling well and wanted soup. Not the fault of the people at this location, of course, but based on the main web site's mobile menu we expected to have a choice of six soups. Unfortunately, we could only order the standard tomato basil (which he did not like) or the soup of the day. The food was okay... about what I would expect from a chain. I had the Italian Benedict and though it didn't have as many roasted tomatoes or as much sauce as I was expecting based on the photos, it was pretty tasty. Very nicely (lightly) dressed greens on the side. Our server was friendly and pretty attentive. But the overall processes and the way the place seemed to be managed were problematic. First (again, probably something dictated by Corporate), you can't tell when you walk in whether you should sit down or wait to be seated. No one greeted us and there was no sign. We finally realized that there was a single, sort of frazzled young woman running the cash register for exiting customers AND helping people who wanted to sit down and eat. No one seemed to be sure who was "up next." Then when we were finished eating, we went through the same thing... waiting to be rung up while they were also trying to seat new arrivals. Meanwhile, there were lots of tables waiting to be bussed and no toilet paper in the ladies' room. My husband kept saying "I don't think there are any grownups in charge here." It would be ideal if you could pay at the table. Or if there were separate people responsible for ringing up orders and greeting/seating new arrivals. read more

The food was ok but the customer service was terrible. I was craving French toast so I found this place on yelp. I walked in and there were about 3 tables occupied. The hostess stand was empty and I couldn't see any servers around. Another party walked in behind me. I grabbed a menu from the hostess stand to browse for my to go order. Eventually the hostess came up to the stand and asked how she could help. The party behind me spoke over my head that they would like a table for 3 and the hostess was about to help them in front of me. I have the party behind me a dirty look and stated that I was there first. They replied that they thought I was working there (mind you I'm just leaving class and wearing sweats). So the hostess turns to me to assist me with my to go order. I place my order and she helps the other party. Then she moves on to other tasks around the restaurant. She informs me that it will only be a few minutes for my order. I sit in the waiting area looking at my phone. I hear a mans voice say something but I'm not sure what has been said or if it was directed towards me. Then I hear in an annoyed tone, "Ma'am" and I realize that whatever was said was for me. I look up and there's a man holding a to go order. I get up to pay and tell him thank you. He takes my card to process the payment and when the receipt comes, I put out my hand to take the receipt and he places it on the counter and walks away. Again, when I walked in there were only 3 tables occupied and add the one set of customers that came in behind me. So this restaurant was not busy. I sign the receipt, take my order and leave. I get home and the food was ok but the bad customer service outweighed the mediocre food. I'd rather go to IHOP or Waffle House. read more

Poor service-- was seated and told they would be there for a while. I told them I planned to be quick b/c It was close to closing. We were happy to be seated then told abruptly to leave by the manager in a not so nice way. Really rude. I don't leave poor reviews but his attitude deserves the rating. Not good. read more

I went to first watch for breakfast with my fiance and let me just say that I walked out pissed off that I payed so much money for just okay food. I got the biscuits and gravy with their seasoned potatoes and scrambled eggs. The waitress really talked this dish up and told us how good it was and i was so so dissappointed when i recieved my dish and everything was cold except for my eggs. I could tell that the potatoes were not made fresh and were very cold. Everything was just bleh. My coffee was 2.50 and then my orange juice was another 3.60... REALLY?! Almost $4 for an orange juice that wasn't even Tropicana quality? You can keep your high prices and cold food First Watch. I will not be back. read more

Good breakfast food. Honestly, was hoping for better. My food was good, got the belgium waffle with bacon and eggs, no complaints. My girlfriend got the Salmon eggs benedict, the Hollandaise sauce and the biscuits were cold, and she was disappointed. Really disappointed. First time to visit and based on the food and service won't be going back. Visited because I wanted to have a simple breakfast but realized it was almost 2 o'clock. Ordered the breakfast with eggs grits bacon and an English muffin and coffee. I ask the waitress for scrambled eggs and very crisp bacon. What I received were two eggs which looked like they had been Fried and then cut up with a knife and fork. Definitely not the nice fluffy scrambled eggs I was looking for. And one piece of bacon was actually very crispy and the rest of the bacon was just barely cooked. The waitstaff was not attentive at all. They were much more interested in cleaning up the restaurant I assume so they could leave as quickly as possible at the end of their shift. Within seconds of receiving my food, from the food runner, my waitressed stopped by to provide the bill. No offer of a coffee refill or to check to see how my food was or ask if needed anything. This was the last time I saw her until she came to the register to take my payment. Only reason for the two stars, the cheese grits were very good. I can't believe it!!! I actually walked into First Watch and was seated right away, the service was excellent!!! Served with a smile and with no rush... love the setting here it is cozy. The pancake were a little think for my liking, but I will be back. This is my fourth visit, I have yet to find my favorite on the menu, but because of the service I will be back. read more

I visited with my sister and used a gift card for $20. Our total was about $35. Both of us ordered juice with our meals and she ordered coffee, too. My apple juice was perfect and cold and not watered down like some places do it. We both had pancakes and scrambled eggs with cheese. I had blueberries added to mine which I'd skip next time because they were kind of tart and I was looking for sweet. Just a personal preference. I had sausage and my sister had bacon. There are limited breakfast options in Snellville, and this is a good choice for one of them! I have been there several times and most experiences have been pleasant. They have a variety of menu options, ranging from simple breakfast oatmeal to more interesting quinoa. They do have a variety of pancake options and they will let you mix the different flavors and even split them among the people in your party, so I rec trying different ones (the price goes down if you order multiple ones). They are starting to have fresh juices on the menu (although pricey at $4)-- there is a carrot/orange/ginger one and a kale/lemon/apple/cucumber one. I have had both of the juices and they are very fresh and tasty. read more

Love this place! Great breakfast here. The chocolate chip pancakes are my personal favorite and super big. One is plenty if you aren't sharing. I love the kale/apple/cucumber/lemon juice. I think it's called the Morning Sunrise. It's fresh squeezed, super healthy and a great way to start your day. Food is a little pricey so can't come as often as I'd like. They also close early so be there before 2:30. It's a great addition to the Snellville area and the kids love it too. Super packed on weekends so be prepared to wait awhile. Friendly staff and nice waiters always make up for the wait tho. They have turkey sausage for all you anti-pork eaters. The cheese eggs and the red potatoes are also what I always order. My hubby loves the egg benedict. Great spot. read more
