Unfortunately, this is one of the worst First Watch I have ever ordered from. I've ordered from them multiple times through the delivery service and each type something was wrong. 5/13/2025 My first visit to the restaurant was one of the best I could have ever had. The outside patio was very spacious and clean! Service was warm and welcoming, and the food!!! OMG I think I had the best quesadilla I have ever had. I ordered the steak quesadilla; it was the first one that I have ever truly found pleasantly surprising. The flavor was undeniably the best. The potato sticks and bacon on top were the best added topping that could have gone on this cheesy, crispy quesadilla. I mean even though I was full I could not stop eating it! The cilantro lime sauce added the perfect pop of citrus flavor. I am no food critic but if you ask me this place is the place to go to eat, relax, and enjoy the flavor of life!! read more

I really hate giving what has been one of my favorite places for breakfast a bad review. First let me say my server Tony was great! The kitchen was obviously having issues, even though it wasn't busy. The avocado toast was just cold, damp bread, bacon was undercooked. My husband and son got the Farmhouse Hash. They both described the dish as barely warm, seemed to be precooked and barely reheated and greasy. My son's girlfriend ordered a chocolate chip pancake, she described this as "ok". For $70 it was disappointing to say the least. Will definitely rethink our Sunday breakfast choice next time. read more

Make sure to get there early if you have a party greater than 3. The biscuits and gravy are spot on. I love the organic juices. So refreshing. Great place to hang with friends. After a very stressful week, we decided to try out this new location. Arriving around 10:30am on a Friday morning, the parking lot was packed! (Which is usually a good sign!) Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted by a pleasant young woman and we asked to sit at the bar. I was delighted to see that an outdoor bar seating option was also available. Our server, Ansleigh, provided menus almost the moment we sat down and she was really lovely in her interactions with her three other guests at the bar as well. We each ordered one of the fresh squeezed juice drinks and coffee. I requested a side of oatmilk instead of the creamers already out and Ansleigh was very prompt in delivering it to me. The juice drinks were wonderful! For food, he ordered the trifecta and I ordered a traditional eggs benedict. Our food came out quickly and piping hot. Ansleigh actually immediately apologized for the missing chicken sausage and let us know she had forgotten to ring it in, but it would be out quickly because she'd spoken to the kitchen. She did that even before we realized the chicken sausage was missing. I was impressed with her honesty and ability to admit a mistake and quickly correct it. Having been both a waitress and a bartender in the past, I think she's fantastic and is an asset to this business because of how she handles herself, her customers, and any issues that arise during service. The food was excellent. The waffle was light, fluffy, and delicious. The chicken sausage was delectable and I will ordering it as a side from now on. While I enjoyed my eggs benedict and the presentation, the hollandaise sauce had a slight lemony flavor that I didn't particularly care for at all and the potatoes that came with my meal, were a little undercooked and hard. That being said, I did enjoy my meal and I took my potatoes home, where I fixed them and ate them later in the day with the rest of the eggs benedict and some homemade hollandaise sauce! We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast experience, the portions of the food, the service, and other than my poor potatoes (boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew), everything was fantastic. Tables were open, and servers were waiting to serve, so the host needed to move a bit more and be nicer with her coworkers the Pancakes and the slices of bacon were delicious the Benedict was not too good. First Watch used to be my go-to when traveling. So thrilled to have one here! They manage to get me to eat kale- no easy feat- but their omelette is so yummy. I'm more of a fan of their savory dishes rather than sweet (who outs raisins in carrot cake pancakes?!?) but generally have enjoyed anything I've tried. I'm almost 50 years old, and have never written a review. My experience was so bad, I feel impelled to take the time. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait... it was 1 hour and 20 minutes. After being seated, it took 20 minutes for someone to take our drinks. The food came totally undercooked, and not served at the same time. The 2 sides of bacon, came 15 minutes after we finished eating, and like the potatoes, UNDERCOOKED. I ordered a to go breakfast for my wife, and it was wrong. The table next to us had same complaint about food being undercooked and cold. Nobody asked how our experience or food was. When paying for breakfast, I politely mentioned that my experience wasn't great. I was told "hopefully it will be better next time". After all of this... 20 minutes after eating, two of us had stomach issues. Which is unusual for me. This is not the same level as the First Watches I have experienced in the past. Walking in is a bright, open, welcoming space. We were seated quickly and asked if we wanted coffee. It was a good beginning. Our waiter brought a carafe of coffee and poured us each a half cup and left the carafe for us. Unfortunately, the coffee was cool, and I had to request another carafe. The menu is quite varied and I decided upon the breakfast of bacon, eggs and potatoes and gluten-free toast. When our plates arrived, my partner's toast had a lovely slathering of butter, my toast however, was dry. Our friends ordered French toast with fruit and as you can see by the photo, it looked lovely. In fact, it was reportedly delicious. Sadly, the only really tasty part of my meal was the potatoes. The bacon was barely crisp and the eggs...well the eggs were cold and I don't know what type eggs they're using but that was not two eggs. As for service, the waiter made it difficult to enjoy our meal. He was clumsy and dropped a plate so that the food almost fell in my partner's lap. Our meals were not served together with one coming much later. Shortly, the waiter kept trying to take our plates away but some of us were not finished. We paid over $40 for two breakfast plates and two coffees and served food that was neither tasty nor to temperature. Was excited when First Watch opened in Tallahassee since we enjoyed the franchise very much in Panama City Beach. The Tallahassee version seems decidedly sub par, however. Not sure how fully trained the staff is, and that may be a problem of the Tallahassee labor pool. For one, the coffee cup brought to the table had a very noticeable lipstick stain. That was brought to the attention of the server who brought a "fresh" cup, also lipstick stained. So who's paying attention to details? Service was slow as well. The food was sub par when it finally arrived. Avocado toast on stale bread? Who does that? House made bread is supposed to be a feature. Ricotta pancakes seemed Ricotta free? The menu touts freshly squeezed juices. Oh, the orange juice? No that's delivered, "but we shake it up." Well this franchise may need some shaking up! read more

This was our first visit to First Watch. Three of our meals came together, mine did not come for awhile after which then made the others cold since they wanted to wait for mine. I asked for one lemon pancake instead of toast, I was told it was a $1.00 up charge ... it was much more . I had eggs, one sausage link, one pancake and my breakfast was $17.00 ! That is ridiculous:( I was then charged $3.75 for a ice tea. My husband's omelet was cold twice ! Lazy. Get my online order and I look to confirm it is GF toast. The avocados are as brown as the paper bag. Not an exaggeration. I show the host (curly red hair) and she cringes and says "No" when I ask her if she would eat it. So she takes it back and then when it is "fixed" the toast is not toast. I really hate to only give three stars but our visit on 8-5-23 at 1045 only merited that for the food. Not sure but our waiter told us they had an all new kitchen staff after all their initial kitchen staff had left since their opening. Using the App, it showed a waiting time of 45 min. It took all that and longer. We heard the hostess telling everyone the food was slow coming out. We finally elected to eat at the counter. Order was routine (great, personable server) but we had no idea our order would take 80 min to come out. How much coffee can you drink? When the food finally did arrive (was restrained by my other half from leaving 30 min earlier), it was good, hot and tasty. Not sure if the bussing staff was as short-handed as the kitchen staff, but tables sat dirty for as long as 15 min or longer after a customer left. Bathrooms as you might image were not up to First Watch standards either. Paper strewn all over. I heard they got hit by lots of people visiting but no excuse folks. Hopefully this is a one off visit otherwise Jeri's will get the business. We frequent First Watch throughout the South. Let's hope this was just an bad day and short lived. Might have been nice for a manager to stop by tables to say hello and explain but no mgmt in sight. read more

I have been to many other First Watch's and always enjoyed it. I have been twice now to the new one in Tallahassee and I will not return. The first time, my best frend and I went on Sunday morning, it took awhile to get a seat and to order. Finally had to ask the waiter for our food and he came back and told us it had been given to another table. So we waited another 20 minutes for food. The second time I went was with a larger group on the weekend and understandably it was a long wait. Finally get seated, it took 20 minutes just to get drinks. We finally tracked down the waitress to order and again had to ask for our food. After a 40 minute wait, she told us, oh I have not checked on your food. We then got our food, one cold plate at a time. The only person that received a hot plate of food was the person that did not get a plate at all. Needless to say, none of us will go back and she definitely did not receive the tip she thought she was getting. read more
