I just read through many pages of first watch reviews, on indeed. I would like to share a few with you. 1. The majority of the products you use will be pulled from the freezer and (improperly) heated to temp in a steam well. You will not gain any cooking knowledge nor hone your skills here. This tells me the food is not even made it is shipped in frozen. 2. Cardboard boxes are always piled high with food particles found on the floor in the kitchen, followed by trash cans overfull in the kitchen as well. All of this contributes to creating both an unsafe, and unhealthy environment for people to trip, slip, and fall. This tells me that the kitchen is not clean and sanitary. 3. Crammed space, too many waiters/servers hanging around back vaping, filthy kitchen, only one bathroom to be used both by customers and employees, no breaks, limited time to get something to eat, and finally treat people like machines. This tells me they don't have a place for the employees to sit and have a break of any kind. I did not make up one word of what is said here, I copied and pasted from Indeed reviews of first watch. My lunch at first watch was a simple salad, but they could not get that right either. Here is what the first watch menu says is in the chicken avocado chop salad: Arugula, Romaine Lettuce, Chicken, avocado, Black Beans, Corn, Tomatoes, Feta Cheeese, Herb Mix, Tri Color Tortilla Strips, with Citrus Chipotle Dressing and served with Ciabata Toast with whipped butter. I did ask they leave out the arugula. Here is what I received on my salad, lots of romaine lettuce spine, two pieces of avocado, I did not see or taste any corn, black beans, tomatoes or feta cheese, it had two small pieces of chicken in the bowl. The toast had no butter and none was provided in a separate dish. Maybe because I ask them to leave out the arugula, when they hand picked it out of my salad they tossed all the other things, also. This is totally unacceptable. You should take a look at the menu and what you are expected to get, then take a real close look at the actual dish you receive, to see if you are getting what you are being charged. read more

I've come here a few times and the food is always fantastic. I'm writing this review in hopes that someone in authority reads this and makes a few changes to their NoWait App. I tried to use this app for the first time with a party of seven people. The app had a pop up that said "this restaurant does not allow you to get in line with larger parties" No problem the wait is not very long. We arrived a few minutes later and got in line with our party. While waiting for a table, another party of seven comes in and says "we used the app but couldn't put seven people so we just did six, but we really have seven" the manager then informs my party that we will have to wait because someone else checked in with the app. NOT OKAY!!!! When I complained, her response was to tell me that they used the app and shrugged her shoulders. I complained loudly enough to be heard, but if your practices are to allow people to cheat the app, then change the app, otherwise teach your managers not to allow people to cheat the system when honest people try to follow rules. Again, the food is fantastic, but this experience was extremely off putting for me. read more

Decent place for brunch, my favorite meal of the day . The ambience was nice the music subtle while still giving the meal a nice vibe. I had a tough time choosing between the chickenchanga and a power Quinoa bowl and after a soccer game decided for more calories and I love eggs for breakfast/brunch. The coffee was a good and brought immediately and good quality. Anyways, it comes with potatoes and some fruit. The main compensation was nice warm and all the pieces complimented each other well. The cheese, eggs, chicken, and tortilla all melted in your mouth. I plan on going back for the power bowl quinoa. read more

I love going out for breakfast and brunch. Love everything from the super casual diner-style joints to the more upscale brunch spots. First Watch actually works as a nice middle ground -- slightly nicer than the local diners, but still casual and relaxed. I also like that they work to provide healthier options, as sometimes breakfast foods can feel overly heavy. I've gotten quite a few different things there: the chilaquiles, the elevated egg sandwich, the smoked salmon eggs benedict, and the Italian eggs benedict. All are good, but the chilaquiles are, without question, the best thing on their menu. The salsa verde is tangy, with the perfect spice level. I think they're a seasonal option, though, which will be disappointing if/when they come off the menu. The staff is friendly, though service can be a little slow on the weekends (though this is true of many places during the breakfast rush). If you arrive at peak breakfast time, be prepared to wait a little while -- there's often a crowd. Small parties can also sit at the community table, which often has no wait. read more

Stevan always gives us such amazing service! Every single time we come in here, he greets us with a smile, he remembers my wife and I, and he always gives us and every customer around him his 100% attention until they are satisfied! We are excited everytime we see him because we know we are going to be taken care of really well! He's one of the best servers we have ever met, and he makes coming to an already great place that much better. If I was running that establishment, giving him a raise would be my top priority because he's a keeper! Every time we're here, the entire staff is so pleasant. Each time the server gives us great recommendations especially for gluten free options. My favorite is the multi-grain banana crunch pancakes ( I think that's the correct name) and the Quinoa kale power bowl. read more

I went for breakfast with 4 other friends, and we all enjoyed the menu selections and the meals and breakfast cocktails we chose were great but 2 things were so 'bad', that none of us will ever go there again, and those were: 1. They ran out of coffee. It's breakfast for god's sake, you don't run out of coffee. No excuse. NO EXCUSE. You call yourself a Breakfast Restaurant - so don't ever run out of coffee. Not ever. Stupidity beyond acceptability. 2. The noise in there is literally so bad that we could not converse, not even sitting next to each other so close we were touching shoulders. The music was so loud we felt like we were in a nightclub, and the customers were all trying to over-talk the music and the result was PURE HELL. Sorry, but that noise was a complete ruination for me and my friends. This is NOT an over Exaggeration. It was PURE HELL. Been here a few times and the location in grant and swan was way better than speedway and kolb I'm not sure why but the food tasted so much better. I love the atmosphere. I'm obsessed with their drinks (the morning meditation and Kale). I had Cobb salad and sandwiches before and it was really good but my favor was the salmon Benedict despite of the saltiness it was great and the rainbow toast... man that was good. We went on a Sunday at 11:45am. There was a 20 minute wait, which is reasonable. They do have a serve yourself beverage area that you can make yourself a cup of coffee while you wait. We reviewed the menu during the wait, which was good as it has quite a bit of stuff to look through. Customer service was good, except the server seem to be in a rush while taking our orders and didn't ask if we wanted soup or salad with one of the entrees, so we received salad and since a different person brings your food, we didn't want to ask them to fix the order. The food was DELICIOUS! I had the BLT eggs benedict. My youngest had the chocolate pancake, which we all ended up nibbling on as it was huge. My daughter got a club sandwich, my husband a chorizo omelet and we shared the avocado toast. Their special drink was a strawberry smash up, basically a strawberry lemonade, was yummy. Went there about a week ago. It was okay. Has a rustic, down home country feel to it. Even in the restrooms. Food was good. Won't leave you feeling overly full, but who likes that feeling anyways? Ordered the Chickichanga and our second seat, ordered the lunch special of half sandwich roast beef & havarti and sweet honey pecan salad. The salad was DELICIOUS!! Small portions for the over priced items. Full pot of coffee for under $3 is pretty good though. They fill your cup and leave it at table. Also, the same with the water carafe, although the water is free. They do have coffee available for self-serve when you walk in, however we got seated before we could ever take advantage of that. The booth like tables are humongous which doesn't bother us as we like having a lot of room when we dine out. I noticed small bugs at this particular location and our particular table, that faced the back window wall as it was prime target for them, as did the table next to ours. Most of the TINY insects were in the coffee creamer dish, probably because of a liquid creamer that leaked. It was NOT infested though, which is good. Management said they had already set up the appointment, the next day to get the place sprayed. I'm sure the humid weather had something to do with it too.
