Biscuits never disappoints. My daughter always gets her Alaskan waffle with the ice cream on the side. I got eggs, sunny side up with a side of bacon and my two sides, being grits and biscuits and gravy, and also got a side of toast. All the food was great unfortunately our waitress was overly busy and wasn't able to be a little bit more hospitable I guess the word is but as busy as this places is I let that pass. Wow. What a discovery. I haven't been to Biscuits for over 20 years. I was pleasantly surprised. I read some recent reviews and decided to go. My husband was in the mood for pancakes and breakfast so I chose this place. Staff was very friendly and didn't rush us, even though we showed up 1/2 hour before closing (I thought they closed at 2, but closed at 1). I asked Amanda, our server, about the pineapple upside down pancakes. She raved about them, so I ordered one and also a blueberry pancake and made it a combo, adding eggs & bacon. First, the pancakes are HUGE! The pineapple one was the most amazing pancake I ever had. Amanda said, she usually takes them home and pops them in the air fryer to heat up. Since the pancakes were huge, I had a couple of bites of the pineapple one and ate the blueberry one. Light and fluffy and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered a scramble with a buttermilk pancake. His meal was yummy as well and took most of the pancake home. Coffee was delish, Amanda kept us refilled. Everything was top notch and we will return. Only con was a "one-holer" neutral-gender restroom and I think they should try to expand that into at least two (men & women). Came with a family member on a recent trip down to Tucson. This is one of Tucson's little mom/pop cafes, which was busy when we arrived. Our wait was only about five minutes and we were guided over to a booth which both seats had taped tears and when we sat down, you had to adjust yourself to find a comfortable place to sit due to the springs inside. It's an eclectic cafe with a ton of wall decorations and tchotchkes over the entire place. Many are teddy bears along with flag memorabilia throughout. There is definitely a lot to look at! The Cafe is unclaimed so I mentioned it to a couple of people and showed them their page on Yelp. One woman had no clue and the other one said that's the owner...they have to do it. I asked if the owner was there and my question went unanswered. This place definitely has a following as you could easily see the bantering between customers and staff. Mostly older citizens and the woman that served us was great and friendly and you could tell she has done this job for years and years! I have to rave about their 2 eggs and hamburger patty breakfast. That hamburger was more than a five star patty...everywhere I go and order a similar dish you get a cooked patty that typically lacks seasoning. Oh my gosh...this patty had garlic and seasoning and was one of the best patties I've had for breakfast. Well done, chef! I had scrambled eggs, home fries and a biscuit. Everything was cooked well, the biscuit wasn't a favorite,,,not as fluffy as I typically like. And the potatoes are deep fried cubes lacking seasoning. The patty made up for everything! Wife, who loves dessert for breakfast, asked our server for her recommendation and was suggested to try the Cinnabon French toast, which came with two extra thick pieces of toasted, drizzled with a sweet powder sugar frosting and a big pat of butter. She loved it, of course. She also got a couple of over-medium eggs, cooked to perfection and a couple of pieces of extra crispy bacon, which was perfect. The person we were with ordered a couple of scrambled eggs and asked for some addition of green chilies and just a light touch of chesse...all was accommodated and she was happy! Came for breakfast with a friend and we have been here a few times. This time the food was not good. I had 2 eggs with turkey sausage and home fries. The sausage was like cutting thru a hockey puck, almost like it was reheated from the previous day. The home fries had a definite onion taste and were clearly a frozen product that was over cooked. Even the coffee was mediocre at best. So that night I was throwing up and that's the only solid food I had. So something about the food prep or hygiene was off. I found this close to my hotel and decided to try it. It sits in a parking lot with little Anthony's diner, so I viewed both on Yelp and chose Biscuits. It's been 45 minutes since I ordered and the food just arrived. I will say every table was full except one when I walked in. Standard breakfast fare Hash browns were so so biscuits and gravy was average even the omelette was just ok Maybe other choices would be better Prices were good but I only saved 10 dollars over the buffet at my hotel but gave up an hour of time. The server was good at keeping the coffee filled, but like about 70% seems slow to bring the bill, so I sat another 10 minutes waiting then had to ask for it. read more

This is a breakfast place that is truly underrated IMO. My husband told me we had been here quite a few years back, but I always opted for the very popular breakfast place next door (which will go unnamed). WELL, we came here this time and there are two reasons, well three they are getting five big ones from me. 1. Good bacon. Yeah, they do not serve that flimsy cheap bacon, they serve up the good stuff here AND do not charge you the price of a new economy car for it. 2. Blueberry Pancakes. They make them just like my Mom made them for me my entire life. Kind of a tradition/nostalgia thing now that she is gone but they do the blueberries right inside the pancake and cook them (no blueberry compote dumped on top) perfectly AND sprinkle powdered sugar on top. 3. Great service. We had really great service. Super attentive, and friendly. The place is mega patriotic which we love and they clearly support their military, country etc. which I am all about. It's been many years since I've been here and have been here a few times since rediscovering. We keep getting a really excellent server, sorry, don't remember her name. Michelle, Melissa? Long hair, pony tail. Great attitude! Parking is okay, but competes with many other stores & restaurants in the same lot. Looks like outside seating but it's too cold for that right now. Seems like there are about 15/17 tables/booths. Didn't see a counter, so I don't think they have one. Deco is completely patriotic. Red, white and blue everywhere.....& bears? Food is pretty good. Bacon is good, the eggs come out how I ask, and they serve home fry squares or hash brown patties. All restaurants have different hash browns/home fries. I must admit, I'm not a big fan of either when I'm doing breakfast but the hash brown patties were pretty good & crunchy. I was pleased. 2 things that kinda bugged me, First- you could probably stand at the door for a while before anyone acknowledges you, IDK, at my work, greeting people is #1, might not be for other restaurants I've noticed. Second- this is completely my fault for not paying attention the first 2 times I came in... 1st time, I paid in cash and left it on the table. 2nd time, not only did I pay my ticket, but someone else's ticket, in cash, also left it on the table. 3rd time in, I noticed on the bottom of my check, a credit card fee! So you are AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED a credit card fee on your bill.... They say they will take it off when you pay CASH.... So I wonder who got my extra 'credit card fee' the first 2 times I was there... hopefully the server! It was tasty- We'll be back in again. I think I was led here. The original plan was to dine at a nearby competitor's but line was long and I was too hungry. No long wait, and a greeter showed us our table right away. I noticed a bucket and rag on the floor due to leaking roof, but that didn't deter us. I ordered tea and omelette with veggies and chicken. My co- foodie ordered milkshake, a hefty breakfast of meat and potatoes with gravy, and on top of all those we ordered a pineapple upside down pancake. Famished was the word, and satisfied was the end result. I will give this restaurant an honest 3.8 stars. We were in the mood for a home cooked breakfast and stopped in at Biscuits, where we were greeted by Patrick and Carrie and they accommodated our outdoor dining needs. They were both extremely friendly and provided great guest service. The restaurant was busy and both Patrick and Carrie made it a point to check on us regularly and we never had an empty coffee cup. The food was worth the short wait and the chefs did an excellent job with getting our meal out hot and ready. The steak was tender, unlike many places we've tried, and the gravy was spot on. Bothe the home fries and the has brown patties were excellent. They were crispy yet not greasy. Biscuit was great and the sourdough toast was exceptional. Why, you ask? It was toasted right but still retained the freshness and fluff inside and was not dry or tough. Quick breakfast on a Friday morning. Place was busy but no waiting. Service was prompt and some seriously good Farmers Brothers coffee. The waffle was crisp on the outside and a little bready (new word today) on the inside, chicken is chicken tenders but the chipotle syrup was really good. Maybe a homemade creation and it really complimented the dish. The Half Hobo was the perfect portion (for me anyway) one biscuit open faced two eggs scrambled two sausage patties and a handful of seasoned potatoes all swimming in a really good sausage gravy. The cinnamon roll French toast was a culinary O. (Am I allowed to say that!?) The bun was lightly crispy, sweet and cinnamony, eggy rich and perfect. It comes as two pieces with eggs and meat or by itself. Service was sketchy. We were seated quickly on a late Monday morning; but our food took over forty months notes to arrive and only after we asked anther server to track down our waitress. Came here for breakfast before heading out for a day ride on the bike. I had the half order of Hobo and Bobbie got bisquits and gravy with a side of bacon. The bisquits are soft and yummy, some of the best I've had and the bacon was cooked perfect and had great taste. My hobo was bisquit on the bottom with home fries, scrambled eggs and sausage patty topped with gravy. It was really good and about the only thing I would ding them on was the eggs were more of a single pile instead of scrambled. My boyfriend and I have come here for breakfast on the weekends. We found this through Google search honestly. I recommended it let's go ahead and try it we went and we absolutely fell in love. I honestly like this restaurant so much better than Bisbee and that is saying a lot. They have way better fresher food than Bisbee honestly. I love the smaller restaurant environment. And I was honestly so for it. That ended up being like the best decision ever. Pumpkin pancakes with chocolate chips will be always my go to on top of the eggs Benedict I get. That egg Benedict is really what drove me to the restaurant in the first place. I think this will always be my go to restaurant. Especially for breakfast.
