Raspberry Ricotta French Toast (Million Dollar Bacon in background)
    Susie G.

I have been to and enjoyed First Watch restaurants in other cities but had yet to visit the one in W-S, mainly because I heard they were always very busy. However, I was craving something crunchy today and decided it was time. After all, there's a reason they're always busy, right? I was looking at their website and noticed that you can add yourself to the waitlist from the website. Love that. The website was a little hard to use as when doing location search using Nearby or zip code, it told me there were none nearby. The W-S location did come up when I searched using the city name. Then the map kept coming up when I tried to navigate to the location website. Finally the location came up and it was very helpful to select the option to get on the waitlist. It gives you a real time estimate of the actual wait. This was helpful in deciding when to jump on the waitlist. When we arrived, we were seated immediately! Our server, Ariana, was very friendly and bubbly. She got us started with coffee right away and we also ordered the sangria pitcher. My husband ordered the smoked salmon Benedict and I ordered the Raspberry Ricotta French Toast and a side of the Million Dollar Bacon. Mr. Susan loved the Benedict, particularly the fresh greens on top. He had never had the Million Dollar Bacon (baked with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and drizzled with maple syrup) and was appropriately wowed. My Raspberry Ricotta French Toast was a work of art. I had imagined that it would be "stuffed" with the lemon ricotta so I was a bit confused that there was no "filling," afterwards I checked the menu online and realized that what I mistook for whipped butter atop the creation was actually the whipped lemon ricotta cream. Good to know. The raspberry puree was delicious and fresh raspberries a nice touch. The sangria I wouldn't order again, it wasn't "bad," but it didn't really have any "bite" or "oomph" to it and was more like drinking punch. Overall a very pleasant experience and I saw several menu items I'd like to try on future return visits!

What a delicious brunch!!! The service and the food are excellent. Highly recommend getting on the waitlist via their website. My wife did this and we were able to be seated right away. I had the eggs Benedict with Smoke Salmon...outstanding!! The million dollar bacon was essentially desert! You can pay your check via barcode and Apple Pay is accepted.

This was my first visit to this location, and the entire setup is so much better than that cloistered mess in Clemmons! I went with Eggs Benedict with Salmon and the Million $ Bacon. I've had smoked salmon Eggs Benedict a number of times, most often at Print Works Bistro in Greensboro, one of the premier restaurants in the Triad serving contemporary American cuisine, with the occasional European twist! The dish here was quite nice. I was a bit concerned about how the eggs would be cooked since a handful of reviews had complained that the eggs were over cooked. But the eggs were nicely poached with a runny yolk, perfect! The bacon was also very nice, great texture and the sweetness was great. This was a much nicer experience than the one I had at the Clemmons location.

I was pleasantly surprised by first watch. With it being a chain brunch spot I wasn't expecting too much, but it was very tasty, the server was super helpful. He suggested I tried the iced coffee, ensuring I'd love it, sure enough I did! Fun spot to try with friends!

The hardest thing about eating at first watch is deciding if you want breakfast or lunch. And then you have to decide which thing on the amazing menu you want. Everyone decided to enjoy a late breakfast today and I probably will be full until dinner. The eggs were great. The waffle was great. The pancake was great. And the potatoes were delicious. The wait time is always a little long but they have a text message that let's you know your place. I also found out today they have more parking behind the restaurant. The servers are kind and efficient with a counter cashier for checking out. The tables are a little close together so I wouldn't recommend for any deeply private conversations. But it does feel like eating breakfast in your grandma's farm kitchen.

This is one of those highly consistent places you know you will always have a delicious meal. Every time I have visited, my food has been top tier and fresh. On today's visit, I enjoyed a delicious Chickychanga (forgive me spelling here) which is basically a breakfast chimichanga. It is AMAZING. The cheese sauce mixed with their blend of seasonings is delicious. The side of potatoes were warm and deliciously seasoned as well. As I had a kid free morning, I also enjoyed a mimosa. They bring your own mini bottle of champagne to pour which feels very fancy dancy for my mom's morning out! Service is quick, polite and efficient. The restaurant is clean and has a fresh feel to it. Highly recommend!

Incredible food + massive portions! The SoCal was delicious. The staff is friendly and the environment is a large space with outdoor seating! The only thing we didn't like- our waitress acted like coffee was included, and it ended up being $4 a cup. Our fault because we should have asked, but she poured our cups as she poured water.

What's there to say about First Watch Winston? Plenty. Great atmosphere, lots of shaded/covered parking in the back, excellent service (I'm looking at you Anleigh) and the food is the brightest star in their crown. The iced coffee has a wonderfully strong coffee flavor, that was sweetened and full of cream for the PERFECT blend and only $3.99! I had the Shishito Brisket Hash with 2 over medium eggs on top. The brisket was tender and well seasoned. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, my eggs were perfect. That roasted garlic aioli? Chef's smooch! My friend had the recommended Market Hash and loved it. Her eggs were the perfect over easy that she requested. The menu is extensive and I've made a list of everything I want to try so I will definitely be back. More good news: I just looked at my receipt. This is the only place I know of that doesn't charge a fee to use a credit card! Kudos to First Watch!

I came here with my son for breakfast yesterday. I ordered the avocado toast and scrambled eggs. I told them I'm having some issues with salt and if I could have it cooked and prepped with low salt? And they did, which I really appreciated. My avo toast was delicious! My son got the chorizo omelette and really enjoyed it. Wonderful service and clean restaurant.

The "poached" eggs were hard boiled.
    Adolfo M.

Ordered the eggs Benedict. The eggs came out hard, rather than poached. It took over ten minutes to get word on the replacement eggs. At that point the rest of my meal was cold. I didn't eat a bite. I sent it all back. No manager apology/resolution. They even had the nerve to charge me for my coffee.

Pale yolk -certainly not "FARM FRESH" Eggs!

The tenders had a really solid crunch without being greasy, and the hot honey added the perfect sweet heat balance. The Meal 3 with 2 sliders and 2 tenders was probably the standout though. The Patty Melt Crunch slider and Sammy's Melt Burger both had that smashed burger flavor with crispy edges that hit perfectly. The "saucy" hot honey combo worked way better than expected, especially with the hand-cut fries and homemade ranch on the side. Even the fries stayed crispy the whole meal, which says a lot. Portion sizes were solid for the price, the food came out quick, and the whole meal had that fresh-made comfort food vibe instead of tasting overly fast-food style. Washed it all down with a Coke and honestly left full and satisfied. If you're in Winston-Salem and craving sliders, tenders, or late comfort food, Sammy's Sliders is definitely worth trying. The hot honey flavors and smash-style burgers are the move.

Great big parking lot and plenty of seating and a little patio. Looked like a good meet up lunch or workers eating while we were here. Great menu with so many choices and daily specials. Grilled chicken , fresh veggies, tzatziki on a grilled pita. Lots of filling and I got the house made chips . They don't give a side with sandwiches, looks like they are all à la carte. $1.50 wasnt a bad price though. Loved my pita I would only suggest maybe they grill the onions and instead of fresh. Loved the chips as they were dry and not oily . Served with ranch. My friend ordered the walnut chicken salad sandwich. Then realized when she got it it's full of onions which she could not eat. She felt bad for having not asked when she ordered it. Our server was so nice to see if they could trade it out and they did with zero fuss. It making her feel bad. She opted for the cheese burger. The restaurant was quite busy when I visited, but I was surprised at how quickly they were able to turn out my steak and baked potato, only a few brief moments after I'd cleared the salad bowl of food. I ordered a medium-rare steak and that's indeed how it came out. But there were also a few weak points: On at least three separate occasions the individual taking my order had to come back and ask again what I wanted. If your short term memory isn't all that great, how about just writing down the order? And it wasn't just the main order either. I had to repeat my drink order. I got asked twice if I wanted bread. These weren't instances where another patron or staff member interrupted the server's work either. He just couldn't seem to keep simple information on his mind, even mere seconds after he first collected it. There was also a substantial delay between getting seated and being addressed by the waitstaff. This was also the saltiest steak I've ever ate. Still edible but disappointing. There's a Texas Roadhouse not all that far away, and the results I've received there are just better than what Longhorn offers -- including the value.
