Waiter never came by to check on us, sat for 30 minutes before waiter came by to take our order, food orders came out wrong or cold, and manager was unapologetic for the poor service. I've eaten at first watch many times. Food and menu are great. Servers are good also. I regret, though, that I've eaten there for the last time. There is no hostess, therefore seating and assignment of wait staff seems entirely random. You can wait 10-15 minutes for a server, who will promptly apologize and take your order, only to have a second server server come up to take your order again. You have to pay the bill at the front of the restaurant, where there is quite often no one to pay. So you wait again. For a restaurant with such high quality menu and food, you'd think they would spring for the extra expense to hire a hostess/cashier. Frustrating at best. Also, the acoustics are not good so it tends to get very noisy. read more

Just what the neighborhood needed! First Watch has delicious food and a nice atmosphere. I've been here many times and everyone is always happy with their choices. The staff, from the managers to the servers are always welcoming. This time, my server was so excited to tell us about the new specials that we ordered one of each, A crab omelette, a barbecue beef eggs Benedict and a tomato and cheese toast with eggs. This was my second visit. Not impressed by any means. I'm not sure why it's always so busy. They thrive on Farm to Table. Well if you mean they cleared my table you would be correct. Took my Gran Daughter here for breakfast before we went to the movie. We were seated quickly. The Hostess was kind. The server was kind. She took our order quickly and made sure were were satisfied, Until I took her to the restroom. We came back to a cleared table. The server was no where to be found. She informed us that the busser cleared our table, I was so frustrated. Then she gave us new drinks, attempted to make things better but it never got better. My Grand Daughters food arrived, served by a stranger? It was wrong it was supposed to be sausage not bacon. She said nothing and angrily grabbed the plate and rushed off to the kitchen. The person who delivered the food asked me what was wrong. I said we will need silverware as ours was taken away. And syrup, as that was also taken away. She was mean, rude, and seriously lacking in service skills. My food was sub par by all means. Anyone can toss together field greens that are so large that they have to be cut by a knife to accompany a bland crab omelette. I need to know who is cooking in the kitchen because seasoning is needed. I assume the managers because no mangers were present when we were there. I will never understand why this place has such a high rating. It's over rated, over priced and bland. read more

Unfortunately the food and service at First Watch is going downhill :( We regret not talking to the manager after our experience at brunch yesterday (a Wednesday). 10 of us came in after working out around 11am. The restaurant only had a few tables filled and was relatively quiet. We sat down at the long high table and waited about 15 minutes for our waitress to (reluctantly) come over to our table. We were all ready to order but she took only half of our tables order before putting it in for the kitchen to work on (which lead to only half of our table to get food about 20 minutes before the other half). We had to ask for everything multiple times including water, utensils, and the tea and juices that we ordered (which came out after our meals). The waitress and woman running out the food made us feel like we were bothering them anytime we asked for a basic dining need such as the utensils. Next time (if there is a next time which is doubtful) we'll come prepared with our own utensils, water, and tin foil to keep our food warm while we wait for our friends food to come out lol. And I cannot forget to mention the pancakes were burnt and the eggs were cold. Would not recommend to a friend, not worth the struggle anymore. read more

I received the worst service I've ever experienced at a restaurant here while dining with my friends a couples weeks ago. I originally wrote a long review right after our meal but it was deleted before I got to post it. Long story short we waited for our table for an hour when promised a 25 min wait, because the host put us down as a party of 9 instead of a party of 3. Once we were seated our waitress took an abnormally long time to get to our table, never brought us water once, and commented on meals we ordered. She acted very strange toward our table, using an odd voice, and then acted a completely different way to the table next to us. read more

Have only eaten breakfast at this establishment and it never fails to please. Fresh, delicious food and juices. Love that real maple syrup is an option. Get the Kale tonic and add a shot of fresh ginger. Yeah! Gets ya going! My only suggestion for improvement is the coffee. They have their own special brew but it is as weak as lousy, diner coffee. I feel like have to write this review. I have gone here multiple times with my wife because she loves it but it is an absolutely horrible experience for. My order is always wrong, I was served undercooked sausage and told that is they way it is supposed to be cooked. The service is terrible every single time I am forced to go there. The million dollar bacon was burned to a crisp and the waitress tried to pass it off to me. Love this place - we try to come every weekend for brunch - the food is fresh, inventive, and they cook their eggs perfectly. The Avocado Toast is to die for and their coffee is delish. I love the neighborhood feel and that we see friends every time we come. The staff when you check in is super friendly and organized, and yes, some of the wait staff are young and a bit green, but they are eager and willing and always pleasant. Visited the new location in abington across the road from tj max in the strip ctr with quest blood tests. Frankly i like homey diner food breakfasts. This was not that. I found the menu both limited, pricey, and pretentious. The place was busy with a large open floor plan (NOT cozy private). Ordered scrambled eggs. Size wise the 2 eggs must have been harvested from pigeons. Bread was good, potatoes nothing to write home about. Service was pleasant but minimal. read more

LOVE this place! I usually only yelp if I really love a place or if I really hate a place lol. This was my first time at first watch and it's amazing. I got the carrot cake pancake, along with the farmhouse hash. The farmhouse hash has potatoes, avocado, 2 cage free eggs (style is your choice), cheese, onions, I added red pepper to mine, and bacon. This dish was delicious, and extremely filling. It comes with two loaves of toast with butter and jelly on the side. My carrot cake pancake was also very good, keep in mind they're very huge so one is enough. It tasted just like carrot cake lol. My friend and I also shared the biscuits and gravy side dish as an appetizer and that was also yummmmmmmy! It came with two huge biscuits drenched in savory gravy. Overall, I rate this place 5 stars. Very family friendly environment, a little on the noisy side but not overbearing where you have to shout to be heard. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu!!! read more

We finally were able to return to First Watch yesterday, June 18. When we first ate there back in April the food was great but the service was not. Happily this time the service was excellent and the food is still great. We had Autrea as our server and she was wonderful. She promptly bought us our coffee with real half and half and got us water. Autrea checked on us several time during the meal to make sure all was good. Our food came out much quicker this time. It was far less busy than our first visit so I am sure that helped. I had the elevated egg sandwich, which was great so good that I don't know if I'll ever be able to order anything else there. My husband had the eggs Benedict that he enjoyed. read more

I'm a huge fan of brunch so obviously I had to check this place out. Let's start off with the name First Watch- I don't quite see the correlation or reference to breakfast or anything food related for that matter. Actually, I had visited the Starbucks next door and I always thought it was a watch store of some sort. The wait was merely 5 minutes and once we were seated, we started salivating over the menu. The waitress uninspired took our orders and disappeared for a good 20 minutes, which is how long the food took. Judging by the layer of film over the soup and cold eggs on my sandwich- the food was sitting for a good 10 minutes before being brought to our table. "Well that's odd", I thought to myself but once waitress put the bill down on our table it made much more sense- she couldn't care less. I don't know about you but I don't like eating while staring at the check the whole time. Also, once she put the check down I was no longer in a mood to order their specialty kale cocktail that was initially unavailable. The food itself was mediocre, definitely not worth the $25 we paid. I hope the management takes this seriously, otherwise their staff will run this place down. read more

I've been to this store several times now as well as in Arizona when I lived there. In general I would say these are good healthy oriented somewhat interesting places to eat breakfast or lunch. It should be noted that the portions are healthy oriented as well meaning smaller than the typical restaurant size. Personally I think this is a good thing but others might be upset. After five or six visits to the Wynnewood store I would say the service has been at least attentive and in several cases quite good. As this seems to be a concern with many of the reviewer's just saying that hasn't been my experience. You know I don't think I can give this less than a four-star however the place has always left me feeling just a little bit disappointed. The nature of the place screams out this is going to be great. And that's a hard standard to live up to a perfectly decent place seems like it should be more. We'll to conclude, certainly worth going to especially if you have just normal expectations. read more
