    Sandwich

Best sandwich I've ever had, big classic deli sandwich with and was very fresh. After hiking all week this was much needed. Store clerk (a lady who's name I didn't get) was so nice to us and loaded us up with food. Obviously very expensive like anywhere else in the valley but worth it. Shelves were mediocre but it was slow season so maybe that's why

We stopped here before heading into the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. It was a Saturday and the guys were setup under a tent grilling cheeseburgers and frying regular and sweet potato fries. They were temporarily out of the bbq brisket so we both got a cheeseburger with each of the two types of fries and it was delicious!! There was a little bit of a line getting into the park so we ate in the car on the way in. The guys were super nice and this was a perfect stop right before Yosemite where there isn't a good meal for miles!

Cute little rural store with delicious sandwich. Friendly people working inside. Cold beers and drinks. We brought turkey and salami sandwich for the trails, and the sandwich they made us were huge.

    Sandwich menu.

Where else are you going to stop. They have good sandwiches 12.00 each. Mini mart with basically anything you need. The people that worked there were very nice and recommended a snow play area right up the road

Pulled pork but i still like bbq brisket

Awesome bbq brisket must have to eat inside Yosemite! If your coming from oakhurst you need to stop here! I forgot the guys name but his super nice. This store located maybe 10mins away from Yosemite entrance. High must try!

...and now, for my first documented AUDIO REVIEW with guest appearance by Chrissy H! (my sister). This was recorded on her iphone 4 voice memo notes while I drove us on the winding road to Yosemite Valley. if I can figure it out...I would like to link the audio :] --- Chrissy: Recording now. Mental Notes: Heather: General store, that we picked up our sandwiches - lady was very friendly and excited that we were there. Made a sandwich that Chrissy says, ya know, a normal person could probably make --SHE'D make better--- but ya know, like a boy. Gave us free bananas for breakfast...that was nice. Chrissy: Coffee not so good. (both laughs) Heather: Coffee not so good. We'll report back on sandwiches later. Over and out. Take 2: Chrissy: Fish Camp General Store update. Sandwich - not quite delicious, not enough lettuce, a lil bit soggy....close to---what did i say?---Timberwolf Pizzeria?? Timber-something, I think. It's on highway 41. (we knew we'd have to add it to the database and tried to figure out the address) --- In short, this lil general store is off the 41 on the left side of the road as you make your way from Bass Lake into Yosemite. this is the LAST and only stop to purchase food, drinks and other convenience store items before getting there. We wanted some sammies for lunch while hiking, so it was a good thing we didn't chance waiting a bit for something better to come along. It's funny because I had no idea the AREA is called Fish Camp. I was assuming it was stating the benefits the store has to offer to nature goers. FISH CAMP GENERAL (things) F.C.G...yaknowwhatimsayin'???

She was the sweetest lady! It was good chatting about how beautiful the scenery was at Yosemite and Fish Camp at this time of year, nigh all year round. I'm sure she's a proud mother as she described the accomplishments and hopes of her children - one of them still avidly reading hardcover books and striving to become a Professor of English. Having taught English at the University level, I had to smile and encourage that! It is an area of study too often neglected, rare to be included in someone's aspirations, and yet absolutely empowering in many unexpected ways. It is good to hear of such enthusiasm and interest; how can you not like this store at Fish Camp? Cheers to pursuits in the study of English! I taught for the University Writing Program at UCR, so i may be partial to that :-)

They have all my resupply goods in stock when I'm camping in the area. I never been treated so kindly by the staff at a store any place , ever.

I was blown away, it was delicious. I waited to review until I went a few more than a few times, just incase that wrap was a fluke. Nope! I haven't gotten sick there yet and I appreciate that a lot. Itzel makes the best wraps, I believe I can tell the difference if she's making them. Perfectly stuffed, tightly wrapped (because if not they are super hard to eat), and cut in half. Thanks girl! Thank you for always being on time for my pick up order (which is super easy to place by the way) and thank you for the great food. It's obvious you're a hard worker and care about your job. That's rare these days. I've never been to any other Deli Delicious besides this one, but I can't see how they would top this one. Thanks again! I might do a wrap photo shoot and add some pictures a little later.
