It was an embarrassment to the establishment considering the high quality of the fried fish. Heinz produces an excellent Malt Vinegar, your customers deserve at least that if not better. Over this past weekend I took my mother here and had a great experience. Raelyn was our server and was attentive and really patient with us. The team even allowed us to sample some delicious soups and appetizers because it was our first time. Five stars for service, 3 for food. Let me start by saying Ali is one of the most attentive, energetic, and happiest servers I have run across in a long time. Definitely made the dinner enjoyable and will be back because of her. Now for the food. I went with a family member and started with chargrilled oysters. When they showed up they were warm, which is the theme of tonight, and small. Having just recently been in New Orleans I was hoping for something like that but was disappointed. They were good but lemon butter instead of garlic butter. My father ordered Shrimp and Grits and he said it was wonderful and very tasty. I ordered Shrimp and Crab stuffed Flounder. The flounder was hot and very tasteful. The broccolini was cold, and the mashed potatoes were lukewarm. Good flavor to everything but cold and warm. I did order a cup of Gumbo and OMG, i was in heaven, one of the best i have had outside of New Orleans. IF you do go, make sure you get Ali. I work in Watters Creek and I can't believe this is my first time here! From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed. The staff is super friendly and attentive. This is hands down one of my favorite locations I have been to.I have been here many times with many servers and everyone here is super friendly. This location had a live band today and it was super busy but our server Jason was still amazing.... He checked on us many times and made sure our drinks were always refilled. Even with it being super busy we were checked on many times and made sure we were enjoying our meals! The managers Tommy and Gerald were very hands on and made us feel very welcomed. I got the Pan seared Arctic char special and it came with mashed potatoes and green beans and it is my new favorite dish. This location never disappoints!!!! 10/10 recommend for anyone in the area to come and try!! read more

Unfortunately our food experience with Fish City Grill was less than mediocre. This is based on a takeout experience. I believe that dining in would have given us a better impression of the quality, but this wasn't the case for our experience today. We got two bowls of clam chowder and the hot and spicy shrimp appetizer. Our total came out to $26. We got to our apartment across the restaurant and were excited to try the food. However, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment when we received soggy breaded shrimp instead (because it was steaming in its own heat in a clamshell takeout box). I feel like any deep fried product should be packaged in a cardboard takeout container vs. a plastic clamshell which would steam itself and make the breading soggy. The soup wasn't terrible, but I felt that $7.50 for the amount we got was very overpriced for what we felt was lacking flavor profile. I had high hopes for the soup since it got raving reviews from many Yelpers, but it certainly wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. The soup is thin as well, another factor that we both felt didn't help its case. Overall, we didn't feel like what we got or tasted was worth the price we paid for it. Again, perhaps that's just the takeout experience, in which case, I would encourage people reading this review to never do takeout, but rather, do dine-in. read more

FCG never disappoints. Ordered the special of day. Blackened red snapper, asparagus, over caramelized onions and mashed potatoes. Fish was cooked to perfection and very delicious. Last time I had the grilled salmon and it was delicious as well. I love this place, the customer service is wonderful, ambiance is fun. It is a busy place, with large crowds, but you expect that for great food. The secret is out, fir delicious seafood FCG is your place. I have really gotten around at Fish City Grill this month. I've eaten at 3 different ones. They have been consistently great at each one. This one has WAY more outdoor seating and is next to a green area with even more seating and games like corn hole. I can't think of a meal that wasn't great all of the times I've been to various locations. Here, They brought us a complimentary plate of broiled oysters on the half shell. Ooh those were good with butter and parmesan on top. We ordered the crab cake, it was the best one I've had. Moist and crabby, crisp on the outside. Herb crusted cod on mashed potatoes and asparagus is super. I've eaten it twice this month. I'll order it again. I think everything is good here. Enjoy. read more

AMAZING!!! We came here a couple of times and it was good on the drinks, and mediocore on the food. We came tonight and were BLOWN AWAY!! The difference was profound. We came in for happy hour to have a drink and an app or two. Opened with the drinks and both the Old Fashioned and the Mule were perfect. Tried the soups and they were hot and on point, that Bisque is outstanding! That encouraged us to gice it another shot and order some fish and Chips and the crab stuffed flounder. Both were great.
