I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Yohe Sushi and Seafood Restaurant. We came in hoping to celebrate my son's birthday, just one day after his actual birthday, and the manager refused to honor the birthday meal promotion despite us explaining the situation. A one-day difference, especially for a family celebration, could have easily been handled with a little kindness or flexibility, but instead we were met with rigid policies and zero customer appreciation. The food was ok, but customer service and how management treats families matter just as much. What should have been a special birthday outing turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience because of how uncompromising the manager was. It felt more like they cared about technicalities than creating good customer experiences. Sadly, this lack of consideration left a bad impression, and we won't be returning. We tried this place last night based on the recommendations we read here and on FB. When we arrived, we had to wait for a little while, but that was just fine. They weren't packed, but steady. We had the AYCE sushi dinner, which was a stretch for us because there is an awesome AYCE sushi place in Frisco, which we love. We wanted to try something new. BIG mistake. The service was horribly slow. Our server even let us know that rolls were "backed up" and would "take a while". The food is ALL average to not great. There is nothing we had that was memorable. It was all bland and meh. The restaurant itself was not very appealing, either. It was a really odd atmosphere and particularly loud. Overall, we won't return. Umiya, in Frisco, is significantly better. It's not even measurable. I would suggest trying that. read more

We made a wrong turn the other day and ended up noticing Yohe's all you can eat sushi sign! So we had to pull in and check it out. They have a great layout and nice ambience inside the restaurant. We were greeted right when we entered and were lucky enough to get Nico as our server...Nico is confident, timely, knowledgeable, very thorough and super charming! Definitely will request him every time we visit. You know "all you can eat" places can be hit or miss, but these guys offer the best of the best sushi for their "all you can eat" menu. And it's only $20 each until 3:30pm. Dinner is $10 more, but you have a few more higher end seafood options... You are allowed to order 5 plates each at one time. By the time we were done, we had eaten 14 plates, lol Well, that was with appetizers to be fair. This is definitely our go to "all you can eat" sushi restaurant for sure. They have a good variety of things to chose from, notable items raw oysters, kalbi, sashimi, scallop nigiri and sashimi and even seafood boil during dinner time. This is an AYCE! One of the better sushi place! Each roll had a very different flavor! We had the McKinney roll and the crazy tuna, both are delicious! The seaweed salad was very tasty! We also had the Salmon hand roll! It had plenty of salmon but needed some spice! Our waiter was Niko, he was very helpful and courteous, I am going to request for him when I go back. We had been wanting to try this place after seeing it was an all you can eat. We were pleasantly surprised to find out it was NOT a buffet, but an AYCE where you order like a traditional restaurant and it's brought to your table. We ordered a lot, starting with the cream cheese rangoons, which were thicker than we'd prefer, but really crispy and the sweet and sour sauce was delightful. The gyoza was fried to perfection and had tremendous flavor. The shumai was equally as flavorful. The spring rolls were crispy and were far better than more expensive ones we've had. The sushi was GREAT quality though. The quality of the fish and how the rolls were prepped/came out was far better than I had expected. Everything we ordered had great flavor or spice and thoroughly enjoyed. We ordered at least a dozen rolls, so I can't remember which were the fav, but we finished them all! We also ordered some shrimp off the other menu, both the garlic butter and Cajun seasoning. The Cajun was probably my favorite, but you can't go wrong with either! I will say, you should be conscious of how much you're ordering if you aren't a big eater or in a group, etc. Because you order through your waiter, there's a lot of opportunities to order in excess and waste perfectly good food. Please be aware if you order a lot and don't plan on eating it, to let your waiter know. Overall, the service we received was great and IMO, the price is worth what you get if you're a reasonable eater or can put some rolls away. If you can barely finish two rolls by yourself, AYCE might not be for you. Best believe I will be back! read more

We had such a great time at Yohe! The seafood was super fresh -- especially the oysters ( can't believe I had two dozen all by myself self and my mom have one dozens;) ) and everything came out amazing. The jalapeños appetizers were delicious and full of flavor, a nice kick of spicy, and the big seafood boil was perfect for sharing. I was shocked how fresh it was, a touch of garlicky spicy was nice kick as well. The whole table ended up enjoying a little bit of everything. The server was friendly, atmosphere was relaxed. Sea food boil is AMAZING! This is the only reason I continue to go there.. they use to have the BEST crab meat bread and also their Cajun fries were great. They brought food completely overcooked and charged us for sending it back. She's honestly the worst human I've ever met in food service. The food is always good and fresh. we go at least 3 times a month. The customer service could be a tad better but overall it gets a great rating for me. i would recommend getting the all you can eat buffet option you get a lot for what you pay for.
