If you love super spicy food, the aguachile is a must-try -- it packs a serious kick! The fried pickles were a hit too -- nice and crunchy, just the way they should be. The crawfish were a good size, but a bit too oily this time around. The oyster po' boy could use some improvement -- the bread was a little dry. Service is really good, and the ambiance is nice and clean. It's a very spacious place, which makes for a comfortable dining experience. This was my second time here, and I'll definitely be back to try more.

This is a brand new chain restaurant to open in McKinney and was not disappointed. I went during the week and enjoyed the Thursday lunch menu of 2 fried catfish, 2 hushpuppies and a ton of fries for under $10. This is an order at the counter restaurant but the staff are super friendly. Service is fast and ambience is casual. Music was a little loud for my liking but I will definitely be back.

Oysters on 1/2 shell

Awesomeness. This food is every bit as good as Fish Shack in Plano, but it's a lot closer to Melissa. The oysters are so big and delicious and from 4pm to 6 pm, they're $15.00 per dozen for happy hour. Their fried oysters, shrimp and catfish are friggin' delicious. I highly recommend this place. A++++

Ceviche after seasoning it myself twice to bring it to life

2 1/2 instead of 3! Ceviche was below average, and lacking flavor. Seafood boil 1/2 snow crab, 1/2 shrimp, corn, and sausage. Everything was cooked well, but the "spicy" was not close to spicy. It was just overloaded with a chili powdered baste. No butter in the sauce was a bit gritty on some bites because the abundance of the chili powdered baste. Service was friendly Ambiance was an average seafood eatery, but definitely catered almost solely to the Mexican American community. (Music, soccer on TV's, etc...) Personally , I don't want to spend 65 dollars for just myself on average food. Last time coming.

Our server was attentive and you could tell that a lot of locals swing by because she knew a lot of people coming in. The seating is first come first serve so be prepared for that. They have patio seating for those that want to enjoy the outside. The inside has a bar and plenty of tables. It can be a tight squeeze at some tables but makes it feel more homey. For food I had the breakfast sandwich and it was good. Pretty basic but everything from the toppings to the eggs were fresh and cooked well. The pancake was good and big so glad I tried it. Overall it's a great local spot that I will check out again.

We landed here about a year ago, come in once a month or so for Karaoke night. We are always…read morerallied in by our friend who loves to sing and is an ex-professional metal singer. We love downtown McKinney and so many establishments have that southern charm, friendly service, and just love people. We always bring in a group of paying patrons. Early on we felt there was a clickish vibe, but never thought anything about it. We make friends everywhere, since we are travelers . Last few months we noticed a shift, bartender ruder, lack of service, the regulars shifting their gaze as if something was wrong. Last night ended that for us, and I'm sure they will be thrilled. Our bonus son chose to come here for his celebratory event. We invited a variety of people we knew, local talents, professionals, and family. Hateful comments about having a few balloons and party hats and how "you BETTER clean all that UP, I'm not doing it." We were treated with disdain. No service, each person had to get our own menu when we were ready to order, , and silverware after food was served, no one took our drink orders, when we went to the bar-our tabs were closed after each drink order. The bartender, Chevon, (who is always there) was rude and ugly to our whole group and to those she didn't even know was in our group. The new DJ, (Shawn) skipped over our friend twice. Chevron (bartender) who didn't know the person she was speaking to was my sister, said "I hate that guy, all he sings is rock songs." I mean... it karaoke. And that guy she's talking about has been bringing a group of people here for over a year. So carry on the "high school drama" there are a ton of places in McKinney that are lovely and welcoming. When you are hateful to singers, doctors, nurses, business owners, and veterans... that news will travel fast. And as rude and ugly as this review is, it's not near as rude or ugly as we were treated, individually and as a group. If you are gonna be bias to people, you don't need to be serving them. It's sad, because I know Karen and what Spoons means to her and her family. I hope they clean house and start over in the back. FYI (Shawn was a really nice DJ, he was so kind to people celebrating others.) But other than that, I wouldn't recommend The Garage for any new Collin County resident, any bridal party, bachelor party, or group celebrating anything... you can DM me and I'll give you a personal list of plenty of places to go. Many of them walking distance.

You have to seat yourself - there were enough vacant tables to pick from. Within a few minutes, our server was over and helped us narrow down on what we wanted to order. I went for a Crushed Velvet Mule in addition to Cali, Buffalo (both grilled versions) and Burg B Q. We told our server that between me and my wife, we will be sharing the chicken sandwich and hence requested that it be sliced into 2. Not only were the burgers sliced, it was served in separate plates with sides as well - that was a really nice touch. Cali was a bit bland, Buffalo and Burg B Q were both really nice. The drink was nice as well. There was live music but we were seated near a table that was pretty boisterous, could hardly hear anything. The outdoor seating overlooking greenery and events they do at the restaurant make the place quite different - we will definitely be back soon to try other options on the menu.

They were not only beautifully crafted but absolutely delicious--each sip had us dreaming of swaying palm trees, ocean breezes, and a Hawaiian getaway. We loved both the Mai Tais and the Beachy Bookkeeper! We decided to share a few appetizers. The Meatballs al Forno was my favorite...packed with flavor and perfect for enjoying with friends over drinks. The Heirloom Tomato Burrata was okay however, the tomatoes didn't seem ripe and were hard and chewy. The Lobster in a Jar was tasty - on the pricey side if you ask me though... One of my favorite things about this spot is the ambiance. The lighting is low (and by low I am flat out dark where you almost can't see your hand in front of your face), creating a dark, cozy, and intimate atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and unwind after a long day. Whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a date night, or simply looking for a place to escape for a few hours, the vibe here is spot on. The service was fantastic as well. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed, which only added to the experience. Tiki Tuesday has officially become one of my favorite weekly traditions. Great drinks, delicious appetizers, wonderful service, and a cozy atmosphere--what more could you ask for? I'll definitely be back next Tuesday for another little island escape. The venue is designed to resemble a Prohibition-era speakeasy, with an entrance accessible through a rotary phone inside a red telephone booth (which actually works!). Our tour was led by Jamie, who shared his extensive knowledge as he guided us through the Prohibition Era alongside our concierge, Landon. The speakeasy features stunning floors made of 120-year-old Italian wood, beautifully decorated with art, books, and a selection of premium entertainment and spirits. Patrons can request "prescriptions," which are 2oz alcoholic shots inspired by the owner's grandfather, who was a pharmacist. Cocktails and friendly service was provided by Emma and Kyle, their services were a nod to Bob Ruede, RPB's renowned Intoxicologist, along with other award-winning bartenders recognized for their excellence in service and hospitality. A one-day difference, especially for a family celebration, could have easily been handled with a little kindness or flexibility, but instead we were met with rigid policies and zero customer appreciation. The food was ok, but customer service and how management treats families matter just as much. What should have been a special birthday outing turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience because of how uncompromising the manager was. It felt more like they cared about technicalities than creating good customer experiences. Sadly, this lack of consideration left a bad impression, and we won't be returning. BIG mistake. The service was horribly slow. Our server even let us know that rolls were "backed up" and would "take a while". The food is ALL average to not great. There is nothing we had that was memorable. It was all bland and meh. The restaurant itself was not very appealing, either. It was a really odd atmosphere and particularly loud. Overall, we won't return. Umiya, in Frisco, is significantly better. It's not even measurable. I would suggest trying that.

My husband and I met friends for a double date, and from the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. The staff was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly throughout the evening. We started with cocktails, shared three appetizers, enjoyed two bottles of wine, ordered four entrées, sampled three desserts, and finished with nightcaps. Not a single dish missed the mark. The burrata was fresh and creamy, the calamari was perfectly cooked, and the steak tataki was one of the highlights of the meal. Every entrée was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The restaurant has a polished atmosphere that still feels relaxed and welcoming. It's the kind of place where you can settle in, enjoy good conversation, and appreciate great food without feeling rushed. Excellent food, excellent service, and an all-around memorable evening. We're already looking forward to our next visit. We also want to recognize the outstanding service we received during our visit. Our server, Gabby, was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and helped make the entire dining experience feel special from start to finish. It's clear she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in what she does. We were equally impressed by Connie, the manager on duty. She was incredibly welcoming, professional, and present throughout the evening. Connie went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and her leadership and hospitality were evident in every interaction. Between Gabby's exceptional service and Connie's attention to detail, they elevated an already wonderful meal into a truly memorable experience. Great food brings people in, but great people are what make guests want to come back--and Gabby and Connie are excellent examples of that.
