I would like to update this review. After some clarification from the restaurant owner, I felt that my previous review was unfair. I complained about the restaurant not offering free refills on sodas. I do understand and appreciate that they do not serve fountain dispensed sodas, which to me, is actually a good thing. I prefer them straight out of the can with a more pronounced flavor. My previous review was unfair because this restaurant should be judged on their steaks and other menu items - not the sodas. Andreas Prime Steaks and Seafood serves some of the best steaks I've ever had in North Dallas. Let us also not forget the appetizers and seafood. Everything was excellent! If you lover Dee Lincoln Prime, you will love Andreas. The staff is very courteous, polite and knows their stuff. They deserve 10 stars in my opinion. The ambiance is pure class. Easily the best restaurant in Allen, TX. I was in town for a conference and this restaurant was smart by opening up on a Monday, a day on which they're typically closed. One server commented they hadn't worked on a Monday in years and another stated (not from a podium or anything) that it was the busiest she's seen the place in a while. The owner/manager even stopped by to thank us for coming in. The service was impeccable (I think that means good) and there were multiple people bringing things and taking things. For a party of 6, they kept up with drinks, accommodated the 1 white wine drinker amongst 5 reds, and kept up with cocktails and waters for proper dilution. Foodwise, it was terrific. We had a few appetizers to share, miscellaneous entrees and even dessert. Two diners split two entrees and they brought it out with two smaller portions of risotto and a nicely bifurcated filet. My filet was delicious and although it was a tad over my desired temp, it didn't hit the next level. And that lemon cake for dessert was worth feeling too full afterwards. It wasn't overly pricey considering two bottles of wine, cocktails, appetizers, etc. I'd go back again for the welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and cheaper than the national chains pricing. read more

Went here for our anniversary. Have tried other places in similar price range based on recommendations, but decided to give Andreas a try based on the reviews. So glad we did. The service was exceptional. We've never felt so welcomed, like we were visiting an old friend. It was not busy, and the staff was extremely attentive. We had questions about a few items, and they took their time to explain/answer. Regarding the steak (which is why I chose it)... I ordered the NY strip (leaner cut), which is my go-to. It was so well cooked, so tender, I could have sliced it with a spoon (the knife they brought me, clinked very loudly against my plate, it went through so easily). Everything else we ordered, from appetizer to sides to dessert, was equally well prepared (and presented). To be fair, it was not inexpensive, but we have spent similar amounts (or more), at "highly recommended" places, and felt rushed, and had steaks that were of a much lower quality. We wish we had discovered Andreas sooner. Can't wait to go back. read more

What a fantastic visit to this steakhouse. We were greeted warmly and sat immediately. The decor is elegant, elevated and beautifully done. Our server, Niza G, was a true delight and provided a spectacular dining experience. The French martini was good. The prosecco was great and served ice cold. They had so many different options to choose from! We started with crab and avocado stack and it was outstanding. Loads of sweet lump crab and super fresh avocado. The sea bass was top notch. Fresh, light and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were perfect as well. The Wagyu bolognese was super. I absolutely loved the paparadelle noodles and the flavor of the sauce was great. I didn't need to add salt or pepper so you know it was good. Portion size was great as well... definitely enough for 2 people. We also found out they have happy hour in the bar area each day except Saturday and all day on Sundays. Great options on the happy hour menu. What a beautiful steak and seafood house in Allen! And the service is exceptional. We enjoyed the most superb traditional dining including traditional cocktails, delicious appetizer stuffed dates, and entrees. Other than it looks like they forgot to bring us bread (based on other tables having bread and we didn't) it was nearly flawless. Came here for my birthday with my husband and had a top notch experience. Great customer service from our waiter, Dolan. He made sure everything was to our liking. I highly recommend the crab & avocado stack! We devoured it, however I wished they added a Cucumber brunoise or Toasted panko + crispy shallots to add a nice crunch for texture. Calamari was good. We opted for the cowboy tomahawk ribeye which was cooked to perfection. The wild mushrooms were okay and the mash potatoes were decent. For my birthday dessert we decided on this baklava custard dish. It was definitely unique. I wished the crust was a little flaky/crispy though. Would give 1 star if the ambience wasn't nice. The food was extremely overpriced for what you get and the food was just very mid or below mid. Salmon ($45) was on the dry side and was served with a side of dry ratatouille and mango salsa. Prime ribeye ($65) tasted burnt on the outside and came with no side. We ordered a baked potato ($8) to go with the ribeye and it felt like a baked potato you could order at a cafeteria - came with cold fixings and bacon bits that were so cold they had become a block. Crab avocado appetizer ($18) was so cold it hurt our teeth and smelled fishy. Chocolate strawberry martini ($18) had chocolate fatty stuff floating on the top and just didn't hit the palette right. We had a company event here, huge group of 70+ and they gave us the entire restaurant. Even with this large crowd ordering at the same time the food and service was fantastic! Crab cakes are amazing, probably over 90% real crab meat. Steak was cooked perfectly, I will definitely be back to this hidden gem with my wife. We decided to celebrate my birthday dinner at Andreas last night due to my overall curiosity about this restaurant. I've been coming to the Starbucks next door for years and this restaurant just sits unassumingly in this strip mall and I just thought to myself it must be doing well for it to still be here after all this time. With that said, upon entering, the mood inside was quite lavish and understated at the same time. It was one taxidermy peacock away from being a bit too much but regardless the ambiance was moody and pleasant. We sat at the bar as we arrived early and strangely the gentleman working the bar did not seem like he cared for us too much, no welcome no greeting and we had to interrupt him in a seemingly empty bar to get a drink out of him and the drinks took entirely too long to come out. But at least the drinks were good. Our waiter was top notch. Very professional. Something you would expect at a top dollar steak house. We really enjoyed him and his level of attentiveness to us. The beer poached shrimp cocktail was one of the better ones I can recall having. Perfectly cooked and perfectly chilled with a very clean taste. The escargot had a wonderful garlic flavor and were cooked correctly. The flatbread it was served with was something my wife and I both recognized as something you can purchase at Whole Foods. The Caesar salad was well dressed and very good along with the white anchovy it was served with. My wife and I shared the tomahawk steak. It was definitely cooked correctly and served pre-cut, no issues there at all. The flavor and seasoning on the meat was also spot on. To my surprise, the meat ate a little tough for a ribeye but was still quite delectable. The potato gratin dauphinoise was the perfect accompaniment to the steak. Yelp had actually recommended this restaurant as somewhere to try. It was incredible! We started with lobster bisque & olives. Both were great but I want to shout out the lobster bisque because it was my FAVORITE part of the entire meal. Next we split the 10oz filet & ordered the garlic green beans. We tried Andreas Prime Steaks & Seafood in order to qualify for a credit on the InKind app, and are we glad we did! Being an "old married couple," our appetites are not what they used to be, so we split the following: Prime Rib Eye and Wedge Salad. There was PLENTY of food ... we even took some of the steak home for breakfast! The steak was very flavorful and prepared at the perfect temperature. Also, they were kind enough to serve the salad split for us and to cut the steak into slices. I drive by this place all the time but doesnt think anything of it. Finally got to try it. Beautiful and nice ambiance on the inside, I don't know why I wasn't expecting that initially. I ordered the duck breast and wish I had it as medium rare instead of medium. It was still delicious either way. The filet was tasty. Paired well with the sides of mashed potatoes and green beans. The wedge salad is your typical wedge salad, but sometimes I just want something typical like that. The fried calamari and the tuna tartare were good appetizers. Good service. Walking in to Andrea's Prime Steaks and Seafood is an experience. There is an elegance here not often found in most of Allen's restaurants. The ambiance here plays homage to the old school steakhouses. Perhaps even a bit reminiscent of Chef Andreas' time at some of his past places, including The Palm in Dallas where he was the Executive Chef. The service here is phenomenal. Our server Greg really was next level. He had the ability to "read" his audience and respond accordingly. The food here is exceptional. I ordered the Prime Filet, it was perfectly prepared and I enjoyed every bite and was actually a little sad when I finished it and it was no more. I also ordered the Au Gratin Potatoes as a side. This is not your average Texas steakhouse and seafood place--it's an experience. After driving by for almost two years, I finally booked a reservation for our anniversary dinner last night, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt like a 1920s Parisian restaurant. The entire staff was so accommodating, yet still allowed us the space we needed to celebrate 17 years together. A big shout-out to our waiter, Dolan--he was so friendly, attentive, and we absolutely loved him! We started with the amazing Oysters Rockefeller and the rich lobster bisque soup. My husband had the ribeye steak with béarnaise sauce, and I had the Beef Wellington. Both were truly outstanding--some of the best steaks we have ever had! We were so excited to learn that they're opening a second location in Uptown Dallas next month. I'm not normally on this side of town unless I'm meeting friends. We've been here during restaurant week and another time. The bacon wrapped dates so so freaking delicious. I've ordered it each time I've been here. This is my go to app! It is really good. The steak and potatoes were really good here as well. We sat at the bar one time and the service was great. I rarely leave reviews like this, but my experience at Andrea's Prime Steaks & Seafood on 3/31 was beyond disappointing--it was infuriating. I made a reservation for 5:30 PM and arrived at 5:35 PM. The receptionist immediately told me I was over 30 minutes late and that my table had been given away because my reservation was at 5:00 PM. That was simply not true. When I offered to show my email confirmation, he refused to even look at it, saying he "believed" me--but there was no apology, no accountability, nothing. Just a dismissive attitude and a rushed attempt to move on. We were then seated at a small table clearly meant for two people, awkwardly modified to fit our party of three by adding a chair on the side. To make things worse, the table was placed far away from the main dining area, separated from most other guests. It felt isolating and uncomfortable. The food only made things worse. For a restaurant that positions itself as upscale, the quality was shockingly poor. The prime ribeye was unevenly cut--only a small center portion was cooked medium rare, while the rest was overcooked due to how thin it was. When I raised this concern, I was told that "all their steaks are cut like that," which is frankly unacceptable. I've dined at many steakhouses in the DFW area, and even more casual places manage better consistency and care. Other dishes were equally disappointing: the bread with foie gras was burned, the lobster bisque had barely any lobster, and the scallops had a strong ammonia smell, as if they had been frozen far too long. For a $450 dinner for three people, this is nowhere near the level of quality or execution one should expect. What made this experience even more upsetting was the feeling that we were treated differently. As an Asian group, the lack of respect, poor seating placement, and dismissive service gave us a strong impression of discriminatory treatment. I cannot recommend this restaurant. There are far better places in the DFW area that value both quality and customer respect. Save your money and dine somewhere that actually deserves it. read more

The food was great. Crab and avocado stack, the wedge salad, filet mignon, grilled shrimp, potato gratin, house made cheesecake, and a specialty dessert, all delicious. I like blue cheese, which was atop the steak, my husband asked for none, either way it was delicious. We will be back. For comparison, we frequent Del Frisco's but their service has gone downhill. I liked Andrea's better but my husband still prefers Del Frisco's for their lobster Mac n cheese and butter cake. We did not try the Andrea's lobster Mac for comparison, he was hesitant due to the goat cheese, maybe next time. From the moment we stepped into this restaurant, we were blown away by the intimate and inviting ambiance, dim lighting, cozy seating, and a refined yet relaxed atmosphere that set the tone for a perfect evening. Everything about the service was seamless and intentional. Each course from drinks to dessert was timed perfectly. We never felt rushed, yet we never had to wait. The staff was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. Water glasses were never empty, and every detail was taken care of before we even had to ask. For dinner, I had the ribeye cooked to a flawless medium rare, rich, juicy, and deeply flavorful. The lobster mac and cheese was creamy and packed with chunks of lobster. The creamed spinach was a classic done right, well seasoned, and the perfect complement to the steak. But the real surprise of the night was dessert: the Dubai chocolate cheesecake. I could eat that ten times over. Rich but not heavy, sweet but balanced, and just completely addictive. Special shoutout to Javion, our waiter he was phenomenal. We came here as a group of 4 last month on a Saturday night and it was a pleasant experience . They were not crowded, which was nice. I loved the ambiance - it was giving Alice in wonderland mixed w/ Mediterranean vibes. Very cute . They also seem to have a back room for larger parties . Our server was also very kind and helpful. Most importantly, Chef Andreas came out to greet us himself. Onto the food, some of it was delicious while other parts were relatively underwhelming. Did you hear about that one steak place in Allen? I love how eclectic the tasting menu was. I made a decision to come here based on the pictures of the dessert. It was also based on an article I read of this establishment. Specifically, how the chef showcases an understanding of French cooking techniques. Honorable mention was given to his lobster bisque soup. Oh my, it was creamy and comforting to indulge in. I loved the salad with the goat cheese brûlée on the outer shell. I requested candied pecans which was such a nice texture to add to the pistachios on it. Chef's kiss. We enter the space and the host was so gentlemanly and welcoming! The icing on the cake was when the executive chef made an appearance at our table. How about the handmade card for the celebrations of life? Portions are sizable, flavorful...definitely with some bites being more salty on the steak. This could've been because the ribeye was a such a generous and thick cut of meat. The bar area is separate from the restaurant side of things. Yet, the loud music impacts the high-end feel the ambiance provides! Would I visit in spite of this? Truly one of our favorite spots. I actually came here twice this month for birthday dinners. As always the service was top notch and the food was excellent. This go around we had the small seafood tower which was so good, with amazing portions, the oysters, the tuna tartare, which was really nice, the fried ravioli, which I loved, filet mignon and lobster. Chef Andrea greeted our table, we even met his wife too. I also learned that he used to be the executive chef at the Palm in Dallas. So happy that there's a nice steak restaurant close by! Wow!! I was completely blown away by this place. First and foremost, I was meeting clients for business so although I wanted to get more photos (especially of the beautifully decorated restaurant), I didn't want to be rude or come across as distracted. We each started off with an off menu smoked whiskey cocktail which was fantastic and then moved on to some wine (they an extensive selection) while sharing Oysters Rockefeller and Bacon wrapped dates which were delicious. For my first course I went with the lobster bisque, it was scrumptious and I soaked up every last drop with the fresh baked bread. And for my main dish, I opted for the lamb chops which were cooked medium rare, perfectly seasoned and fairly portioned. We shared asparagus, mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms as our accompaniments. For dessert we settled on some Porto and limoncello pie. The perfect finale to a pleasant and memorable experience!! Such a great restaurant in the area! My husband and I were torn on what to eat for our anniversary dinner and decided on Andreas Prime. It was a bit of a drive for us. We were seated immediately. The table was decorated very thoughtfully for our anniversary including a hand written/drawn card. We asked who had created it and it turns out it was the maître d' who came over and told us some amazing stories. As for the food, we were initially disappointed that they were out of the ceviche martini and the lobster thermidor but were beyond wow-ed by everything we did end up ordering (steak tartare, calamari, beef wellington, creamed spinach, onion rings). Even the butter served with the bread with uniquely sweet and light. They also gave us a complimentary dessert for the special occasion which was much appreciated. I wish I wouldn't have came before the rush the waiter kept returning to the table too often not allowing me to enjoy the food or conversation with my wife as he had no other table at the time. We've been to Andrea's twice now, and both times were fantastic. Yes, it's expensive, but the quality of the food, and excellent service make it worth it for special events. The first time we went, the A5 wagyu strip blew our minds and ruined other steaks for us. The last time, it was the Australian Wagyu.. Amazing. We preferred that over the A5 because of its meaty "steakiness" while still being super tender. The stuffed dates and baked olive appetizers are fantastic. The staff are friendly, informative, not pretentious, and you feel like they actually CARE about your experience. From the hostess, Maître d', and server, they all give you a feeling of welcome and appreciation for your business. Obviously not a regular dine out night place, but for special occasions.... The Angels Envy Old Fashion were amazing. My wife had a very dirty martini and throughly enjoyed it. Our appetizer was the Crab and avocado stack, really good. My wife enjoyed the full Red Snapper special for the night and the presentation and taste was delightful. I had the Prime Rib special they have on Saturday nights now and it cut like melted butter. Absolutely fantastic meal, ambience and service. As a side note if you want to see a young man that knows his craft, watch the bus waiter setup tables, he absolutely has a systematic way of working.
