Just what this neighborhood needed, a seafood restaurant with good quality food. We've ordered several dishes from here & all were good. Our must order is the oyster nachos, one of their signature dishes. Alfredo pasta was good, redfish Oscar was good. We usually order from the special menu on the board so don't forget to check that chalk board out! Service was very friendly. I had a late lunch here July 1,2023 and without a doubt, this was the WORST fish and shrimp I have EVER eaten! Everything was overcooked and I believe I was served something other than catfish. When my food was presented to me, the waitress asked me "how does this look to you"! I should have left but I was hungry. I regret I didn't follow my first mind and go to Razzoos, I could have saved myself $15 and got a better quality meal. First time coming here and I absolutely loved it! The people and the food were great! The shrimp tacos had lots of flavor and spice. The Wahoo dish was fantastic with a delicious side of mashed potatoes. The key lime pie had the most flavor I've had in a while with great whipped cream on top. The turtle brownie was very moist and delicious, along with the amazing peach cobbler. Our server Autumn was very energetic, attentive and sweet. I love this place. The food are amazing. I had the chalkboard special cilantro lime shrimp tacos and it was delicious. The shrimp are perfectly cook with fresh guacamole. Excellent service. The waitress Autum came and check up on us every 5 minutes. The manager Cristian brought out the welcome wagons and introduced different types of soups and the smoking hot shrimps to us. He also brought the food out and check on us twice. This is by far the best tacos. Perfect amount of food for the price. This place is one of my favorite food stops in Allen Texas. Our first time here was fantastic! Isaiah was our server. I started with oysters on the half shell. My husband and our friend's shared fried pickles (they're not interested in oysters). Our food came, and it all looked amazing! Our friends shared Fish and Chips. It looked light and fluffy, and they said it was delicious! My husband loves grits, so he had the Shrimp and Grits. He ate it all and declared Fish City Grill to be his new favorite restaurant! I ordered the Fish Tacos off the menu. I took the first bite, and insisted everyone try a bite. Isaiah came to check on us throughout the meal, and as our desserts arrived, he brought a special oyster for me to try. It was amazing! (Called Caesar XL). I would recommend this new restaurant to anyone! It's casual, there's a bars d outdoor patio as well! read more

I'm in town for Memorial day weekend from California, and what a way to start off my superfantastic weekend. Of course I use yelp anytime & every time I travel to seek out the tastiest of tasty food and this time around definitely did not disappoint! The restaurant is super clean and the service was 5 star. Want to give a special shout out to my server Kevin. He was professional and extremely courteous. The food was absolutely delish!!! So happy I'm not leaving till' Monday. Ok... if going for a good bar and outdoor feel, then this is a good place. However, the food here is like pure salt. I got the snapper special that was swimming in a salty pool of gumbo. My daughter got the shrimp bowl of the kids menu and it was another salty item. Should have told the waiter after the first bite but he didn't come back until I forced my way through half the fish. I couldn't stomach the gumbo due to the salt but ate the fish. I did tell the waiter and he offered something else so the service is good. I just cannot see us going back for anything other than drinks. read more

My Wife and I saw a "new to us" restaurant in Allen, Texas. It is called the Fish City Grill. Our first time there and we were greeted by Autumn. She was amazing, friendly, and was a pleasure to chat with. The General Manager has been there only a little over a month as of 10-13-2021. He was great as well. but I am sorry to say that I don't remember his name but will always remember his personal greeting. The food was great and the staff was great as well. I highly recommend going there to meet them and enjoy some very tasty food combinations. read more

We tried the Allen location tonight and we could not be more pleased with our experience. The restaurant staff greeted us warmly and everything looked very clean from the floors to the tables and chairs to the spacious windows. The waitstaff are friendly. Our server Antario was excellent as was the food. We ordered several different entree's and everyone was pleased. Our drinks were great as well and the bartender, Autumn. She is our new favorite. Okay so the food isn't made from scratch. I came with a friend during the week to have lunch and the restaurant was pretty empty. Due to this we were seated pretty quickly which was very nice. Unfortunately after being seated my experience went downhill. I asked the server if I could order the lobster roll and remove the mayo, he stated the mix is pre-made and that they are unable to prepare it without the mayo. My friend had also asked if she could take the shrimp out of the stuffed flounder, and guess what? That was pre-made too! I don't understand why a restaurant would parade around stating they make fresh, made from scratch dishes when they clearly aren't. If you're a picky eater, or into any sort of customization with your dishes, this definitely isn't the place to go. When it came to receiving the check, the prices were pretty decent. Unfortunately the food was only subpar and had me regretting spending any money at the establishment. Between the bland meal that I had, and the server slamming the check down out of frustration,(my friend and I were both trying to pay for each other's meal) it wasn't a very great experience and I probably wouldn't come back. Try Pappadeaux if you want quality seafood because this isn't it. read more

Second time I've been to this restaurant and will be my last. Food were alright nothing spectacular. Fish were cold when served. But service was horrible. Overheard the server n bartender gossiping about a customer (normal for this industry) forgot to refill my drink then eyerolled at collages when I politely asked. I felt so uncomfortable being there.
