Well my second time here and I thought I'd leave a review. My wife and I love splitting food so we ordered two appetizers, the stuff mushrooms and the Mexican shrimp cocktail could've been a bad night, but the stuffed mushrooms had no flavor and would never order them again however, the Mexican shrimp cocktail was fabulous highly recommend. For dinner we split fish and chips. Extremely good fish, crispy and tasty, dessert was the Keylime pie it was nice nothing out of this world I'd give it three out of five stars read more

This can be hit or miss. Several times we've gone and it's been excellent. Other times a total flop. Love the soups. The fried calamari is delicious. The fish tacos are over complicated for something that's so simple and has beautiful flavors if it's made the way it's designed to be. They over do it and ruin it with drowning it in sauces. read more

Revisted Fish City Grill on a Monday 5/3/2021 for an early dinner around 4:30pm. It wasn't busy at all but I'm sure that was because we went early. I was mailed a $15 gift card to retry this place, I didn't use it as I didn't want to gift special treatment. There was no wait, and the older gentlemen that was our server was very prompt. This waiter had actually tried stuff on the menu and had several recommendations as well as telling us about the Happy Hour. There oysters are amazing here along with all of their other dishes, they originated in Dallas, and they just recently opened this one in Burleson. The staff is always super kind. Very good food! I'm from louisiana and I really enjoyed it. They do very well at having a good upscale cajun atmosphere and really good fresh food. I just left there after having an amazing first visit. Crystal was my waitress, the girl never stops...She was literally running around the restaurant to make sure all her customers were happy and enjoying their visit. We had an amazing experience tonight at Fish City Grill Burleson. The staff was so inviting and friendly. Every interaction we had was so pleasant. The food was absolutely incredible. I personally had the clam chowder and lobster and shrimp roll. It was absolutely amazing. It was just the soft opening and I couldn't believe how well trained the staff was. Our server Mindy was so attentive and quick with drinks and food. The key lime pie was my favorite desert by far but the bite of bread pudding I had was fluffy and warm too! I can't wait until they are fully open and we can come every weekend. read more

Soooo after my initial review of fish city grill Andrea reached out and came through with the opportunity for them to make up the experience on them. So we did, we went back and gave it another try. It was a better experience that the first definitely but still not the best. Allow be to break it down like this.... Service was excellent our servers Emily & Mari who was in training were Rick stars. Super inviting, friendly, smiling like they were so honored to serve us. Or maybe they just really don't Noyola they're job. Whatever it was it was a pleasure having them serve us. They explained the menu, answered our questions and gave us options for substitutions. Our appetizers came out timely, and the calamari was perfect. Clam chowder like the last time didn't disappoint. Our main entree was good, but had rookie mistakes I had to dock points for. For a $30 dish you'd expect not to get mushy over cooked asparagus. Cooking 101. It was on both fish entrees. But most of the dish was pleasant and edible. We ordered dessert this time. Key lime pie and bread pudding. Two thumbs up! In all honesty might come back for drinks and appetizers but won't be having my next birthday or anniversary dinners here. This place is great! 10/10 recommend! Clean friendly and the FOOD....forget about it! We started with drinks, chargrilled oysters (lemon pepper and Parmesan YUMMY!) , Halibut and the chipotle shrimp tacos!! All of this food was highly recommended by our super friendly and knowledgeable server, Danielle! Nice to have a fresh seafood option! Only complaint is giving in to the dessert suggestion! This was my first time here, and everything we had was delish. Let me start with the atmosphere was cozy, and had a homely feel. Our waitress was so good! She literally said there was nothing that we could order that we wouldn't like, unless it's something we absolutely would never eat. We ordered the Spicy margarita, and let me tell you they had a kick and tasted good. Everything we asked her about she had eaten and assured us it would be good!! She was absolutely right! We started off with the crab stuffed mushrooms. They had a jalapeño soup soup sauce on top. We ate it all. I ordered the blackened cod with fried shrimp. I got mashed potatoes for my side and I enjoyed it just as much as the fish. My love had shrimp and grits, and he raves about how good the bacon and sausage were. I ordered crawfish, flounder, and crab bisque to go. When I got home I tried all of it, and again TASTY!! I would recommend this place. I will definitely be back!! read more

Good food at decent prices and plenty of variety. We've eaten there several times and have not been disappointed. The bar has a nice selection of drinks and beer taps. The only drawback is the patio feature. I get the Happy Hour crowd, live music, weekend party, mindset but this place doesn't need to be all things to all people. The food stands on its own merit and frankly, patios are not a good option 8-months out of the year if you are in Texas. The open air feel is tiresome when it's 100-degrees out. All told, ambiance and food quality supersede any discomfort the patio/party vibe presents. read more

This used to be my "go to" fish place. Hadn't been in a while (due to health issues), went last week and ended up leaving without ordering anything. First we waited for half an hour, asked for first available. Someone walked in and was seated at the bar right away. We weren't offered booth seating by the bar. Finally we get seated and I try to order a drink. I'm living a healthier lifestyle these days so I asked for something sugar-free. The only thing I could get was water. we were informed by the waiter that everything is premade, there was no sugar-free options. I asked for a virgin style drink from the bar. Once again, I was told everything was premade. My husband also asked about an item on the menu, there was no substitutions, because once again premade. We were sensing a trend, and it was very offputting. We decided to go across the street to Rio Mambo, I got to order a sugar-free drink and also I got to modify my meal to make it healthier, they even gave me a half size portion. I don't like fish or seafood. So I can't comment on that. I know I know why go because my fiancé and friends do. But my chicken salad was gross, food was overpriced for what we got and the fact it was gross. I couldn't stand the smell there. And I've been told that good fresh fish doesn't smell fishy. read more

They are oysters smaller then a quarter the size of a quarter about little bigger you starts getting up to half dollar they are hard to cook .a little under is ok what I got on my plate was about 2 bites. The one in waxahachie was good little under the size of half dollar fried right . I told the waiter in Burleson, but he didn't do anything about it, or asked me if talk to the manager that plate cost to much to get that afer tipping 26.00 dollar.? read more
