The server was very friendly and the poke was yummy! They had a lot of topping options to make it exactly how you want!

I have NEVER been so excited to write a review in my entire life!…read more OK so it was like 8:15 pm and I decided I had to have this sushi burrito thing that I saw on the TikTok. That's right the TikTok... I'm not embarrassed to say it. Order it through GrubHub and I had like 10 minutes left to get my order in. I'm not really wanting to order things online because it's just expensive. Sorry GrubHub. Anyways... My food arrived by the door. Picture... Me running to my bedroom with my bag of goodies. I was skeptical, of course. Who's ever had sushi burrito before in Idaho?! I took one bite...ONE BITE...I instantly fell in love with whomever made it. It's the California roll and I asked for extra cream cheese, daikon and lemon. My taste buds are still dancing and won't shut up about it! ! An explosion of flavors that I haven't had in any sushi place here in Boise! I'm not kidding not one bit. I also ordered the edamame and wontons which were both good...I think...ummmm my brain keeps going back to that burrito. So it's a gigantic sushi adventure filled to the rim with what you ordered, unlike a regular normal tiny itsy bitsy roll. Are you picturing this?? Can you feel and taste the happiness? No? You better hurry up and go there. I mean...HURRY UP LIKE NOW! You don't want to take the risk that I ordered a few more from them and they ran out! THANKS GUYS! Can't wait to come in to visit you and order in person! Absolutely fantastic. Order how I ordered it....SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD! Ok bye.

I mean seriously razor thin. Not cool 2.) The coconut haipua had less than a 1/4 of a teaspoon of coconut cream. Again, felt ripped off. Spam musubi was VERY VERY GOOD. Best I have had in my travels. 5 stars for that. Mouth watering great!

I hate leaving negative reviews, even more so for local restaurants especially at this time. But my…read moreexperience at CK was so unfortunate...I gotta share. For your sake. Located in the quiet shops off Entertainment, CK Hawaiian BBQ touts they have the best Hawaiian food in Boise. I think there is potential but they need an entire makeover, from the space to the recipes. For one, the restaurant was not clean. The tables were grimy and the floor was oddly sticky. It felt like the place hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. I ordered the Kalua Park Plate (savory pork with (or without) cabbage) with a side of macaroni and gravy ($8.45 for small), my husband the Chicken Katso also with a side of macaroni and gravy (panko breaded chicken breast, $9.55). We decided to take our food home. The second I opened the boxes, I was unimpressed. I'll spare you my very descriptive and unappetizing statement (something about the remarkable resemblance to wet cat food), but to be blunt, I was appalled. It was soggy mess of a few pieces of pork with way to much cabbage. I took one small bite and couldn't stomach anymore. Even my husband exclaimed "what the actual f***." The rest of the food wasn't the worst. The chicken katsu was breaded good but I was like where tf is the katsu sauce?! It wasn't anything special at all. At least it was edible. The macaroni salad was okay. It didn't taste very fresh, probably an old batch. I'm no Hawaiian food expert and based off their menu I got the impression that they're not aimed at providing traditional Hawaiian fare, but more so "inspired" fare. However, regardless of the origin of the food the fact remained that what I received tonight was terrible. Two stars, because the employees were very nice. And were very accommodating when we changed from dine-in to take-out.
