I took a meal there during happy hour. The oysters were good, but the shrimp cocktail was barely edible. The shrimp were tasteless and their texture made me think they were poorly frozen and poorly thawed. The cauliflower was excellent, but the fish tacos weren't seasoned as well as they should have been. The mango salsa overpowered any flavor of the fish and the red sauce should have been served at room temperature instead of cold. Nice atmosphere. Service was satisfactory. Ok value. Very good. Bunch of friends and I visited on July fourth weekend. There was no wait. Decor is nice. The restaurant had a plethora of options. Lobsters mac and cheese caught out eye, and it was as tasty as we thought. Also had the oyster/clam sampler plate. Even after all the appetizers, we still each got an entree, mine was the pulled salmon burger. Really liked it, but I love salmon. Love this place! Have been here early on weeknights, later on a weekend night, and in between- food, service, and experience has always been awesome. They have a great happy hour, inexpensive drinks and small plates. Baja fish tacos are a favorite. The shaved brussel sprout salad is amazing, can't rave about that enough. I love the way their menu works where you can mix and match sauces, different fish, and styles of cooking. The salmon (blackened) was cooked amazingly. Had dinner last night with the family. We started with the Lobster and shrimp chowder, and Tuna Carpaccio and both were excellent. I had the Whole Sea Bass, two members of the family had the stuffed shrimp, one had the stuffed dove sole, and one had the sword fish. All entree's were fantastic. Our server was one of the most knowledgeable waiters I have ever had. He gave excellent on advice of sides and sauces. I highly recommend this place. I will return. read more

Tonight was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We made reservations on valentines day expecting not to get in because of the demand of a new hot seafood house just opening up. I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a 6 pm reservation for me and my little man. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by the host and the manager who welcomed us using our name.( big points). We were seated at a cute table away from the bar which seemed to be about half way full. Nice and quiet. Shortly after we were greeted by our server, who promptly took our drink order. We both ordered lemonades and although, not on the menu, the bartender made us fresh squeezed lemonades to accommodate us. They were delicious. We were brought out a delectable amuse prepared by the chef, who hand delivered them to us.(big points again). It was a seafood ceviche with fresh lemon juice. To die for. Our waitress went over the features for the evening, and we decided to go with the lamb and scallop special, and my son decided to the fish and chips. Bread was served, and our meals came out in a timely fashion. Everything was piping hot and smelled fantastic! About 3 bites in, my boy decided he wasn't in The mood for fish, so again, the chef came to us and made him a wonderful from gnocchi with tomato sauce. He was in heaven after devouring it. The manager was so friendly and I noticed he was making rounds throughout the dining room making sure everyone was Enjoying themselves. Our table was cleared when we were finished and out leftover packaged up neatly. This restaurant has a great vibe.... Teamwork is big here, and you can feel it from the moment you walk in, everyone helps each other.we really felt welcome and I can't wait to go back! This is a bar with a seafood-heavy menu, not a seafood restaurant with a bar. My blackened catfish was fine, the hushpuppies it came with were pretty good, and the collards were ok. My husband and I have been looking for a local seafood joint to add to our rotation and gave Fish a shot. We started with cocktails: He had a black and blue margarita and I had a spicy Mandarin. His margarita was good and my drink was tasty as well, but it quickly became undrinkable when my lips felt like they were on fire (like holy-hell-grab-a-fire extinguisher-type of heat). As someone who loves spicy drinks, I was shocked that something that tasted so mild could have such an effect. I suspect jalapeño may have been freshly muddled. At any rate, it was a good tasting drink but I had to set it aside. I tried the red sangria cocktail next and while it is not a traditional sangria, it was delicious. The bar service was good. We ordered the spinach and lump crab dip as an appetizer. I thought it fell a bit flat: For $14, I would have expected more crab meat. My husband ordered scallops and jasmine rice for dinner and I ordered the polpo appetizer with sides of fries and spinach. The scallops were excellent - perfectly cooked, sweet and succulent. The polpo, however was a bit overdone. The spinach and fries were fine (though I thought $6 for run-of-the-mill steak fries was a bit much). To be fair, everything we ordered was edible. We were hungry, and seeing as we had already committed to paying for the meal, we ate it all. That said, for the amount paid, I feel as though there are better options in the area. I would return for another glass of sangria, but doubt we will dine in again. If you want to give it a shot, they do have a nice outdoor seating area and good service. read more

We went here for restaurant week (offering 3 course meals for a fixed price). We were treated like second class citizens compared to the other diners who decided to order off the regular menu. Our entree took 50 min to arrive, while the couple next to us (who arrived 20 minutes after us and didn't order from the fixed price menu) received their food well before us. I've been wanting to visit Fish, and I'm glad I did. The ambiance was modern and the food was very nice. I ordered the cod with the curry sauce and seasonal faro. The fish was perfectly cooked and the faro was very flavorful. I didn't realize the sauce was served on the side. I personally would have liked to have my fish prepared in the sauce - but that's a matter of personal preference. I also shared the apple empanadas dessert. The crust was a bit oily and hard but overall a decent dessert. This restaurant is quite loud when busy, and the service on a busy Tuesday evening was a bit slow. My husband I dine here often and we love it. We love the menu and the great service especially Jared and Ashley. They are always welcoming and friendly! This means a lot to us since we are in the restaurant business and we get treated at FISH like we like to treat our customers. FISH has the BEST happy hour in the area - not even close. They have a great menu of oysters, huge shimp, small plates and drinks at a great price. Problem is you can only enjoy it at the bar. The food is good but too expensive, I think they are trying to be a little too fancy and too upscale and that hurts them a little. If you like great food, warm greetings, and nice outdoor seating in the summer, this restaurant is a gem! Their manager is awesome. He is consistently welcoming and caring about the patrons. Their food selection is versatile and modern with an emphasis on its signature fish dishes. They also have steak and chicken entrées if you are not a big fish fan. I am totally in love with their mussel appetizer. The mussels are always plump, unlike those in their competitor, Bar Rosso, that are small and dry as a result of overcooking. Best of all, the broth! It is so creamy and rich with a hint of curry and spiciness that is just amazing. I've been ordering the same dish since my first visit. That's something! It has only disappointed me once, maybe as a result of a different chef/cook for the night. The service, unfortunately, is inconsistent. It's generally good. They always remember to refill your water. During most of my visits, the service was on par. Last night, however, my service was very disappointing. My boyfriend and I knew what we were going to order, so when Miguel, our server, came over with a smile on his face, I started ordering. Then, he interrupted me and asked if I had looked at the drink menu. Then, he just walked away and said he would be right back. There he went. He never came back to us. Instead, he went to the table right next to us asking them if they were ready for desserts and more drinks. I did not listen to the rest of their conversation. But, as soon as he left the table next to us, the two ladies sitting right next to us started to make an eye contact with us and just burst into laughs. I asked, "Did you see what happened when he was at our table?" Both of them responded, "Yes!" So, they also witnessed how he just walked away from us when we were starting to order. When he returned to our table, we ordered three appetizers. And I noticed that look in his eyes. He, then, asked if we wanted to order a drink. We declined. He seemed displeased, but he obliged. Our next table obviously took part in the observation and agreed with us that the same server was putting pressure on them just like he was on us. By the time we got the check, his continuous judgmental look and demeanor propelled us to defend and explain that we had a late big lunch, but we really wanted to come here for a small bite. He never responded accordingly or at least courteously. We, along with our next table, were just baffled. How could this type of server not drive the business away? We were not new to this restaurant, but those ladies next to us were. We left a 20% tip because of the food, the manager's friendliness, and the bus boys' efficiency. He was a terrible server. No servers should be entitled to impose that kind of pressure on any customers. read more

Appetizers were also great (but the shrimp cocktail were smaller than would be expected). Not so Positives: Wine menu is lacking. The (bottle of red) wine was warm, and suggests they need a wine fridge. Most importantly, our waiter was clearly new, and someone should have shadowed him. He made several significant mistakes during our meal, including taking menus from us before I had ordered my entree (I ordered all appetizers and wine for the table, so it wasn't like I was hiding in the corner). Also, I spoke with restaurant several times in advance, and they noted we were celebrating two birthdays. No recognition during the desserts (which a good restaurant shouldn't miss, with at least sticking a candle in a dessert!). read more

There is a great variety of beer, wine, and cocktail with a solid option for your preference.
