Great little spot in Key West. The red snapper sandwich was fresh, cooked right, and fantastic.

Got there at 5:15ish and they were closing up. Tough to find but worth the hunt. They were nice enough to take my order. We had lobster tacos. Mine with sweet potato fries (husband said that they were the best he's ever had) and his with coleslaw since he usually doesn't like SPfries. FYI: lobster was deep fried-surprise to me. Yummy, but expect to eat somewhere else- no indoor seating...maybe a few stools by a counter , not sure since they were closing up. read more

About 15 minutes before a boat trip, at around 9:45 in the morning, we were looking for some coffee to wake us up. Whilst strolling down the pier, perusing our opinions for coffee we happened upon Fishermen's, and I'm quite glad to say that we found some of the best coffee in the whole of Key West, and a surprisingly good steak and egg sandwich. The cafe con leche was quite exceptional, and like I said was some of the best I've ever had. They made everything up in about 5-6 minutes, which left me very impressed. I hope more people find this local gem. read more

I see a lot of good reviews on here so I think maybe it was just what I ordered. But the cheddar grits were disgusting. They are made with heavy cream and it really tasted only of heavy cream with cheese on top and no flavor. I took maybe 3 or 4 bites and threw it away. I actually lost my appetite for the rest of this day because of this dish and was later sick on the boat. I can't find the words to convey how gross these were. read more

Ordered the fish tacos and blackened shrimp wrap. The catch of the day was yellowtail snapper instead of hogfish. Both were amazingly fresh! We had the sweet potato fries and yuca fries for our sides and they were still sizzling. All I can say is yum... The cafe is in a cute little spot by the marina. The lady who attended us was also very friendly. Will definitely come back next time we're in the Keys. read more

I was preparing a shrimp dish and needed some cheesy grits. I used Yelp and the photos on the sites and Fisherman's Cafe was a stand out to me. I called them 20 minutes before closing and they were more than pleased to accommodate me. They were great grits. I will be trying more of their items in the near future. read more

Forget Cuban Coffee Queen, this place has the BEST coffee on the island and the food is just as good! I dreamed of having the Cuban coffee and cheddar grits since the first time I was here 2 years ago, and it's everything I remembered it being. Also, the woman who runs it, Eko, is so sweet! Fantastic. We stopped on our way to a sunset cruise and wanted to get a quick bite. What we got was beyond our expectations and a real treat. After reading the reviews, had to try it. OUTSTANDING! From the cute lady that takes your order, to the stake and egg, el Cabono breakfast sandwich, best I've ever had. The bread to egg to stake / pork proportions were perfect. When I got my first breakfast sandwich, I was afraid there might be to much bread but the bread was FRESH and light. Great fish tacos. The fish of the day was yellow tail snapper. The owner gets it from local fisherman so you know it's fresh. Great coffee to boot.
