I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding the experience my coworker and I had at your restaurant today. My coworker and I have been regular customers for almost a year because we genuinely enjoyed the food and the overall experience. Unfortunately, our visit today was extremely upsetting because of the way we were treated by the manager, Ms. Yang (possibly Rihanna Yang). During our visit, there was a misunderstanding regarding our order. A chicken dish was brought to our table, but we had not ordered it. I immediately explained that we did not order this dish and that I do not eat chicken due to an allergy/preference. We had ordered a fish dish instead. Instead of calmly checking the order or trying to resolve the misunderstanding, Ms. Yang repeatedly insisted, in a very loud voice in front of other customers, that we had ordered the chicken dish and that we had to eat it. She continued saying that we had to accept the dish and pay for it, even after I explained multiple times that we did not order it. The situation became very uncomfortable and embarrassing. Other customers were watching as she raised her voice at us. I politely asked her several times to please calm down and not speak to us in that manner, but she continued insisting and arguing. I even confirmed with my assistant, who was sitting with me, that neither of us had ordered the chicken dish, and she also confirmed that she had not heard us order it. A professional way to handle this situation would have been to apologize for the misunderstanding, check the order, and offer a solution. Instead, we felt pressured and disrespected. By the end of the interaction, I had completely lost my appetite and could no longer enjoy the food we had ordered. After asking her to remove the dish, she eventually took it away but told us that we were no longer welcome at the restaurant. After being loyal customers for almost a year, I found this response extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I understand that mistakes can happen in restaurants, but the way a situation is handled is what defines good customer service. Unfortunately, the way this matter was handled was unprofessional, embarrassing, and made us feel unwelcome. I have never had such a terrible experience in all of my dining history. The rudeness, the experience, the degradation at highest level To my surprise, it was the owner. Riona. I can hardly believe that Riona is the owner. You can have great food, but good customer service is hard to find. Affordable lunch with a weird vibe This seafood restaurant has sorta an unusual menu, with a variety of traditional seafood restaurants menu, and some Cha-chan tang like options. We were attracted by their lunch promo, where a whole section of the menu was 13.95. Portions weren't bad either.  Service here was odd. I guess managment just didn't think theres going to be much business around that time, and I heard they've also just opened not too long ago. So.. they were short staffed and some of the staff there didn't seem to know what they were doing. At least everyone was polite tho. We got 2 items here, one was the lemon 'gu lo' chicken, which we paired with a fried noodle, and a house special congee. (the congee wasn't part of the lunch deals, it was near $20) The Gu-lo chicken was pretty good, flavouring was decent, but the meat quality was just okay, slightly dry if I were to be critical. The fried noodles cost $1.5 extra, portions were good and paired well with the chicken. The chief were heavy handed with the pepper, and unfortunately, aside from that peppery flavour, it was a bit bland. There were a decent amount of toppings or stuff in there, shrimps, squid, fish and 1 or 2 small pieces of scallop, but each item tasted independent from each other. If that made any sense.  Overall, it was an interesting experience. Darned good food just outside of semiahmoo Mall s southern doors. Food is good and service is very good as well.

Looks like they just opened and trying the lunch buffet for $19.99 and very impressed. Sorry did not take photos, but definitely worth going. I can see this restaurant giving better service an the LEE Yuen Seafood Restaurant blocks up the street. Will be back to try dinner. They seem to be busy as they have only been opened for 10 days, the food is Northern China based, so don't expect Dim Sum. read more

Was really hoping this would be good. Reading the reviews there were some 1 star ones and other 5 star ones criticizing the 1 stars. I decided to take a chance because it's 7 min from my house and there is no good dim sum locally. How bad could it be right? Place look nice inside, servers were pleasant and spoke perfect English (I don't care either way just noting). Couple of things that factored into my review besides the lackluster food were: It took over 30 min to get our food and we had to ask what was going on. Dim sum does not take long to make and usually if they're serving it they have multiple dishes made and ready to go. After nicely trying to ask how much longer, I had to "aggressively" make it clear that I wanted my food soon. It came out right away after that. They don't have the normal "hot sauce" which is usually sriracha or some form of it. Theirs is a chili paste with a sharp spicy taste that isn't complimentary to the food. This of course is a subjective element however if a dim sum place has busted hot sauce I'm less likely to go there as I really enjoy it on many dishes. Pricing was on the high side, especially once the quality/flavor of the food is factored in when you're done. Ordered some pretty basic stuff: Steamed sticky rice, Har Gow, steamed spare ribs, donut rice roll and what I thought was the regular bean curd in sauce. Sticky rice was really bad, I don't know what's with this new school business with using non white rice but it sucks. Was white with black pcs. Not the end of the world, but why mess with a good thing? (Some places have switched to brown rice!?!?) The flavor was lacking, it was dry, there was minimal meat and it even had an odd smell. I'm sure it was fine, it was just off putting. Har gow was meh but luckily my kids ate it. Wrapping was dry, shrimp was fairly tasteless and not steamer moist, more like microwave. Spare ribs were moist and meaty however the flavor was so bland there was no reason to eat it. "Sauce" had zero flavor. Some black bean sauces are SO luscious and flavorful with a hint of spice that you're scooping it up once you've destroyed every last bit of ribs. This was the opposite of that. I won't go I to detail about the other stuff but donuts were so thin that they were 100% crisp and nothing soft to bite into. The bean curd dish was deep fried and another miss. Overall I'm never going back and I will tell anyone looking for dim sum not to go there. They've been open a year and I really hope it improves otherwise it's just another lackluster dim sum "option" in South Surrey. Would honestly give zero stars if I could, and that's pretty harsh. read more

There was a worker here with an extremely bad attitude like she stepped on dogshit this morning and also got up all in my face when I didn't give a 20% tip. Not even sure if that was the owner or the waiter at this point, she was being loud and drastic about it and made me feel awkward as hell. I ordered by phone. The staff answering the phone had adequate communication skills but had limited knowledge about dishes/items in their menu, eg. ingredients, type of noodles (egg noodles, rice, wheat?). For a new Chinese restaurant offering FUSION cuisine as opposed to classic Chinese, it would be best to have a phone staff who can clearly explain their "fusion" equivalent to a the typical Cantonese Seafood Chow Mein. What I received was very different from what I expected. Based on this one confusing and disappointing experience, I will be going elsewhere for Chinese food. read more

Really wanted to try and find good Chinese food in my area. The sweet & sour pork had a watered down sauce, the ginger beef tasted rancid and the person on the phone didn't understand what I wanted when I asked what dish was their chow mein so what I got was close and at least edible. Three dishes cost $57 and we threw most of it out. Will not be back. Called twice too. Once, they said they were "resting" so call back at 4:30pm. Then I called back at 4:30 and they said they had no delivery. Not good service. Terrible food. read more

The food (if you get it before fainting from hunger) is actually quite good. Unfortunately, the wait staff seems to have limited knowledge of the menu and cannot explain some of the items. Lots of miscommunication. They need some professional servers. Dim Sum was an epic fail. read more

Was looking for good dim sum, as there is a lack of good Chinese restaurants in Phoenix. This location used to be where I came, but I hadn't been into White Rock since lockdown, so the new name and menu did not phase me. We ordered five dishes, and waited. And waited. After about 30 minutes, one dish arrived, and was quite good. 30 minutes later, dish 2 arrived, and was also tasty. Another 30 minutes before dish 3 arrived... In the meantime, we had seen several large tables arrive after us and get fully served before we got dish 2 or 3. We mentioned after dish 2 that we would like to have the rest of our dishes come together, and we're told that "some dishes take longer to make", which was particularly frustrating when we saw that the larger tables of Asian families were getting exemplary service. We spoke with the table next to us, who were a group of 5 Asian adults, and they were getting the same abysmal service that we, as 2 adults, were getting. We finally canceled the last two dishes and left. I gave the restaurant 2 stars as the food that we did get was good. However, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is accustomed to decent service. Perhaps they should stick with just one menu. read more
