Driving to Harrisburg, Pa, our car blew a tire on I 84. My wife limped it down the breakdown lane while I looked on my phone to see what our options were. I had a choice of Sam's Club or what looked like a local shop. I called Fishkill Tire. They said they were fully booked, but when I explained the situation, they said they'd try to get us in. They were a little further than Sam's Club, but they turned out to be the right choice. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Putting a couple tires on our car required them to stay after closing time, but also gave me the opportunity to watch how they operate; like clockwork. They're very efficient, and they all work well together. They had in stock, high quality tires of the right size, and they didn't cut any corners even though it was getting late. They did everything that should be done. Perfect. The price was very fair to boot. They fixed us up and got us on our way with no further issues. I worked nearby so it was convenient and I never had a problem until they started with the "upselling". Once I was charged $10.00 to "Rush" a tire delivery and nobody even called to tell me it had arrived, (waste of money). Last time they called to tell me I need an alignment, that I approved, and 30 seconds later I get text saying my car is ready? Probably another waste of money, most likely won't return. read more

I used to take my care here often for repairs and such. I have to say I am not impressed with the service here. They have " fixed " my check engine light problem for around $500 only to have it reappear about a month later. When I told the worker this he said there is nothing wrong with the car mechanically so just come back next year for another inspection. Well I did only to be charged another outrageous amount and still not have it fixed properly. I was frustrated with this but decided to try them again after I got a new car. I called to make an appointment for an oil change on Saturday ( because earth to Fishkill Tire the majority of people work full time!!) only to have them tell me they don't do oil changes on Saturdays. REALLY?! How stupid. Oh and they close at 1pm on Saturday as well so why bother. I was also there another time checking out when the manager came up and asked one of the workers for one car's keys. The worker told the manager that the customer had just come in and he told him it was okay to go in the back and pick up his car. The manager then started yelling at his worker saying that " he wasn't finished working on it.. and why would you let a customer go into the back and pick up his own car?!"..... YIKES. This was a little frightening that a customer would be allowed to simply take his care when they were not even done working on it. Came in without calling ahead for help troubleshooting a minor issue. No mechanics were available, so a man I assume was the owner or manager took a look right away. A quick two-minute fix and I was on my way. He even refused payment! They've got a new customer for life. read more

They never try to sell me things I don't need and most recently when I was there, were very understanding of my situation and went out of their way to help me at minimal cost. We went up a bumpy mountain road in our car, we heard a crack and a rip. Then on the way down it was obvious we needed a mechanic as the clanking from the rear of the car got louder and louder. Got a flat on our very new Audi Q5 and the place came recommended by the AAA repair guy. The shop didn't have the tire in stock but they ordered it right. even though it was 5:00pm they say they would be done by the next morning. at 9:00am the next day we got a call the tire was changed and the car ready to pick up... A friend of mine referred me to this shop. My sons own a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer and we had it towed there because it stalled in the middle of street. They diagnosed it and found that it needed a new fuel pump injector and a battery. They kept us informed and the truck was ready in a few days. Well, the truck broke down again on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 and again we had it towed to this shop. They informed us that they were extremely busy and won't be able to get to it for a few days. On Tuesday, April 24th, my son receives a text that his truck was ready. No phone before to inform us what was wrong with it. So I had my son call and tell me what the problem was and it was the heater hose for the coolant. So the next day, Wednesday, April 25th, I went to the shop. The cost was minimal so I just paid for the repairs. Two days later, while my son was in the BX, his truck broke down and it was the heater hose. How could that be? It was just replaced two days ago. So I need a NEW heater hose, thermostat and coolant. I said to myself I have to hold Fishkill Tire & Auto repair responsible so I go there on Saturday, April 28th and explain to the technician what has happened and he just refunded my money with no questions asked. I had a whole argument ready and it wasn't even necessary. So it just made me wonder....Did you guys installed a used hose? Did you even perform the work at all? I should be able to drop my car off at a shop and trust that the work needed to be done will be done. I no longer have this trust with this shop and will not be going back there. read more

I dropped by and my tire was fixed in about 30 minutes. They found a large tack that caused the slow leak and patched it up. I've been here before many years ago and my family still uses this place. I didn't have any real issues other than I called and asked if they could change out 4 tires that I had. They said to come in before 10 am and they'd have me in and out. Got there at 9:30 am and waited an hour for my car to be moved into a bay, watched as they removed the wheels and then watched as that mechanic(technician) walked away and did nothing. Finally at 12:30pm, I asked them to call me when it was done because I had been here for 3 hours for an "in and out" job. Once I asked for them to call me they said To wait a minute and then the tech came out with my paperwork. All was done well, I was just frustrated that they said I'd be in and out and it took three hours to dismount, mount and balance 4 tires. I'd still go back but just wouldn't wait. Price was fair except I would have felt better if they said it was a three hour job. Not in and out. read more

Went there today, because a chain service center changed my oil yesterday, and they informed me that my alternator was going bad. They said it must be replaced.
