Love this place! One of my trainers took me here when I wanted something healthy to eat. This place is super clean. The menu has a lot on it do I could get overwhelming but I stick to the grilled chicken, rice and veggie combo. Everything is so fresh and their pile of broccoli is legit, fresh broccoli. I like it so much I often place an order for delivery on door dash which can get expensive or I drive 15 min to go here. The prices are cheap! I think it's only $6 for my meal I know they are known for their fish which I haven't tried yet. I'll update once I do. I hope they open up more locations in Sunnyvale read more

Have been coming here since about six months after they opened. We had previously eaten at the one at West Gate in San Jose and were delighted that they opened one near where we live. Grilled salmon and mahi mahi has always tastes good, cooked to our requests, and nice portion sizes. The fish taco combo, we always get the mahi mahi, is a great value and very good. I tried the fish and chips, wasn't sure what the fish was, but didn't care for it or the coating. Just this year I decided to branch out and try some of their other dishes, and I've really been kicking myself for waiting so long. It's a fish place so it didn't occur to me that the other dishes would be this good. Short ribs are flavorful, not overly sweet as they sometimes can be, and cooked just right. Spicy chicken, the best I have ever had, and I tend to try it everywhere it's on the menu. To die for. The sauce is just delicious, just enough on the chicken, and a huge portion which I eat every last bite of with gusto. I tried the red curry chicken, I found it tasted primarily of coconut rather than curry, so I'll stick with Thai restaurants if I want that kind of food. Their grilled zucchini is excellent, tasty steamed veggies, always fresh attractively presented salad, never once have they served limp or old looking romaine lettuce, and their fries are always freshly made. I'd take a pass on their garlic bread however. It was buttery and garlicky, but the bread itself wasn't that great. There is a young woman, I think her name is Maddy, she has reddish hair, who is very friendly, patient, and accommodating as she takes our order. I'm old and sometimes get bobbled up when giving my order, so I appreciate that extra nice touch. Overall, this is a solid four stars for us. Can't go wrong with the grilled fish, the grilled fish tacos, the short ribs or the spicy chicken. Since we're here once a week, I guess that means we really like it! read more

First impression: better than expected. We were craving seafood, and normally we'd go to a restaurant close to our home. However, we were certain that it would be very busy on a Saturday night, as usual. A Yelp search turned this place up. We went in with middlin' expectations. It's an order-at-a-counter kind of place, and while it's not fast food, it's also not a sit-down-for-fine-dining kind of place. We got a smattering of dishes - fish and chips, grilled barramundi with steamed vegetables, a grilled salmon bowl, and popcorn shrimp. Fish and chips - I really, really liked this. Thin fillets of a white fish with a panko-style breading as opposed the more typical battered fish. Very hot, very crispy, and not heavy feeling Barramundi, grilled with lemon pepper - a nice, clean flavor; not too fishy. Perhaps a little oily, but maybe that's the nature of the fish and not the preparation. Steamed vegetables as a side was a good choice, and it wasn't overcooked and mushy as is often the case. Garlic bread was also good. Grilled salmon bowl - this is probably the best deal on the menu. It's a generous piece of fish - not as large as the plates - served over rice and steamed vegetables. Only $7.50 and it's really just the right amount of food for an adult. Popcorn shrimp and chips - got the kid's meal, didn't try it, but my daughter liked it. The person at the counter was very helpful. We asked about sizes, and he retrieved some plates to give us a sense of what we were ordering. As he cleared some of the other tables, he chatted with us and asked how we were enjoying our meal. Prices are quite reasonable. The barramundi plate was $14, and you would easily pay nearly twice that at a fancier seafood restaurant. read more

Three of us came here and were all pretty impressed at the quality and taste of the seafood at this casual-looking joint. The space is pretty new, very clean. Has casual seating but is much much nicer than like a fast-food joint with some high top tables and a couple of booths. The fried fish and chips here are REALLY GOOD. It's perfectly prepared and a good size for $10. The have a few grilled fish plates that range from $12-14, which is a good deal considering the size of the cut and also that they come with two sides. My husband had the Barramundi, which we had never heard of before but were glad we tried! Their grilled fish can be prepared with one of 4 different types of seasoning- we had it with the Cajun seasoning and the fish was perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, and well seasoned. I had the taco combo - they let me choose two different tacos and I had the Mahi and shrimp taco. The Mahi cuts were generous and I personally liked that it was grilled and not fried. The shrimp taco I didn't like as much, but I might have been really full by then from stealing off of everyone else's delicious plates. Will be back! read more

I've eaten here a handful of times for a quick bite. The staff is always friendly and the prices are reasonable. They also have a good selection of meals, but I always seem to default to shrimp or chicken katsu. The amount of greens they give in the bowls are a lot - it makes me feel like Im doing good and chose a healthy meal even though I'm really eating fried chicken with it. The plate came with roasted zucchini, steamed veggies, and tilapia smothered in garlic butter sauce. At first, I looked at the fish and thought it wasn't the proper amount, but when coupled with the various veggies, it ended being the perfect amount of food. The fish was juicy and tender, and the garlic butter sauce was delicious; the veggies were good, too! The seasoned fries were really good, and you definitely get your money's worth. Additionally, everyone from the cashier, to the cooks, and the busboy were very nice and smiled every time I made eye contact with them. I ordered one each of the mahi-mahi and shrimp tacos. Each taco was $3.25 since I ordered them a la carte instead of the combo. The mahi mahi was cooked excellently and was still very juicy and flaky, just as it should be. Both the shrimps and fish were grilled, which makes it even healthier than most places that deep fry their fish. The tacos had a bit of a kick with the jalapeños but balanced well with the sweetness of the mango in the salsa. Overall, I would order the tacos again. read more

Love this new place. So glad to finally have a healthy fish/seafood semi fast food in the area. Been here twice now. First time there, the guy that took my order had me repeat my order about 3 times. I don't know if he was nervous or just not paying attention, but that was annoying. After getting over this, my family & I received our orders and really enjoyed our meals. The second time, a lady took my order and it was much more smooth then the first. She also walked around afterwards to see how customers were enjoying their meals. The atmosphere is nice and the place is clean. Food is what really shines here. It's not fast food cheap, it is seafood after all. However, it certainly exceeded my expectation with the quality and quantity that is delivered. They are currently waiting for their alcohol license to come in; I'm looking forward to having some beer on tap with my meals. I'm sad to report our second and third visits to Fish's Wild were nothing like the first. The staff was not that friendly, and the employee didn't offer recommendations for seasonings. The cashier appeared to have a cold and was sneezing all over the place while taking orders. We tried the "wild fries" this time, and they were really unpleasant! They were super greasy and completely drowning in a goopy sauce. I understand this type of dish is supposed to be heavy, but they tasted nothing close to Animal Fries. I regret eating them even though I was starving. Our fish dishes were mediocre at best. My salmon was overcooked and tasteless, and my friend's wrap was completely dry and funky tasting. I didn't get a good general impression of the sanitary practices in the kitchen... As much I was excited for the new neighborhood addition, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. read more

The food I had was pretty disappointing. Caesar Salad with Grilled Mixed Fish - the lettuce in the salad was fresh. The fish was simply flavored. Not tasty enough for me to get again. WOW!! We happened to drive by and noticed that they finally opened! Hubby and I went in for dinner and just made it before it got too crowded. Seems this place has a following from other locations! We've been to the one in Saratoga which is why we were excited about this place. I got the Seafood Cesar Salad! OMG SO YUMMY, so BIG! The different pieces of fish were grilled and TENDER and JUICY!! Seasoned perfectly so I barely even used my dressing!! Hubby got the tacos - the mahi mahi and shrimp - haven't seem him devour his food so quickly! We were literally standing in front of the store but almost walked away thinking FW is a steakhouse given the current signage. As we sat down, the server walked by our table to show us the order from the next table over - it was the Seafood Curry and it looked so good, I changed my order. SALMON PLATE (4/5) - Really good, a bit over-cooked and heavy-handed with the salt. Salmon doesn't need much of either of those. Steamed vegetables on the side were unusually tasty. Most places cook them until they're mush. Not here, perfectly al dente and flavorful. SEAFOOD CURRY (4/5) - Solid creamy coconut-milk based curry with good seafood show. Shrimp were sweet. Served with brown rice that the server recommended and after trying the rice, I know why. Something addicting about that brown rice! I am a fan. This place hits the spot in terms of what the marketplace needed - a straightforward, affordable seafood grill.
