Combo #2-2 pieces of fish with chips
    Anthony P.

After some surprisingly disappointing Fish & Chips meals in the UK, I came back to the Bay Area with a craving. This place came up in a search, and I made my way over to check them out. The place is in the corner of a strip mall. I arrived around 3pm yesterday (Saturday) and I was the only customer there. The place gives sports bar vibes, except that they didn't have TVs. I think it'd be great to add them and make it a spot to catch the local sports teams' games. The woman working the counter was friendly and the menu on the display was easy to navigate. I went for the #2 combo which came with two pieces of fish and crinkle-cut fries as chips. I picked tartar sauce and malted vinegar as my condiments. I received the food within a reasonable amount of time and it was cooked to order. The fish was cooked just right (tender and moist) and was perfectly battered and crispy on the outside. The fries were also excellent and I ate them all even though I was full. Overall, this was a positive experience. The restaurant had a variety of other fried seafood on the menu. I plan to come back with friends and try some of the other offerings.

After came home from London, I started to have some craving about fish and chips, searched for one near work in Sunnyvale and found this little place hiding in a corner of a shopping center. Went there for lunch and the place was empty on a Thursday, I think most people take out instead of eating in. I ordered a 2 piece for $14, and eat in because I wanted them hot and crispy. The order was made to order and they came out quite hot and crispy both fish and chips. They're so good, no fishy smell, the fish was so white and tasty with vinegar and tartar sauce. Enjoy every bite just like fish and chips in London. The only thing that fell short is the chips. They're crispy but not as rich and tasty as real fresh potato fries. Anyhow, it hit the spot and I liked it. Will come back here whenever I have a crave for fish and chips, glad it's not too far from work.

Had a random craving for fish and chips - this place did not disappoint. The onion rings were lightly fried and crispy! Some of the best onion rings I've had

Stopped by this spot due to the great reviews and because I love fish and chips, but I gotta say the fish and chips tasted like they were brought frozen and then fried (in that case I cna do that at home); it didn't taste terrible, it was just different. Good customer service and a lot of seating inside! This place is tucked into a corner of a small shopping center with a variety of foods and grocery stores, with plenty of parking.

10/14/2023 Bay Fish and Chips 826 W El Camino Real Sunnyvale, CA 94087 I went there for lunch in search of fried clams. I discovered that this is one of the only places that offer this around me. It is located at the corner in a small shopping center off ECR close to Hollenbeck Ave. The interior is spacious and dim. I ordered and paid at the counter and my food was swiftly brought to my table My clams and chips came with tubs of cocktail sauce and malt vinegar, tartar sauce is available. The doughy breading was a golden brown enclosing sweet tender strips of clam. The fries were good. I've been here before for the just okay fish and chips but it's a definite repeat for the clams.

Haven't had fish and chips in awhile and thought of this place. We ordered the 15 prawns, oysters ans chips, fish and chips, and fried mushrooms ans zucchinis. Our order was available in 10 minutes! So fast! It is a small restaurant, but don't let that prevent you from checking them out. The last time I came around Easter there were so many people waiting in line for food. I love the fried oysters; my favorite! I also enjoyed the prawns, fries, and fried mushrooms. The batter is perfection! Love their tarter and cocktail sauce!

Fish, shrimp and chips in the forefront. Extra piece of fish and and fried mushrooms in the back.

I was in the area for work and was craving fish and chips. Parking is plentiful and is shared with other establishments in the little plaza. I opted for the fish and chips with shrimp. I then added an extra piece of fish and some fried mushrooms. Everything retained its heat from start to finish. I was biting into it and burning my mouth. That's how solid their batter is. Could use some seasoning, but that's where the tartar sauce and the vinegar come in. Really nice lady working the register. I saw a bunch of people taking their food to go. A little hole in the wall that I'd definitely frequent if I lived in the area or just in the area in general.

This place is good if you're looking for some fried fish or just fried stuff in general. I ate here with my friend and the menu is simple, which is nice . You can get fried fish, calamari, fries and other seafood. Service is quick and you walk up to counter and order. You sit at table and they bring out your order within minutes. I've had fish and chips at a lot of places. I found the fish to be good, however a bit on the oily side and lots of batter. This place is good for going to grab a quick lunch, not spend a lot of money and quick service. Not a bad spot to eat, and food was a good size amount. I'd go back for more if around the area and not spend much on a meal. Parking is in a free lot and pretty easy to get to.

The staff brought the menu, we said it was our first time here, how do you order. I think he was either new or just shy but he didn't explain much how to order, other than I asking questions. My coworker and I ordered their 2 lbs; 1lb shrimp, half clams, half calamari with a free side of Corn. In a bag/plate, it already includes corn and potatoes. We asked how many corn there was, he said there was ONE. When the plate came, there was 4. We could of ordered something else for the side if it was clearer. I wish there was more clearer instructions on ingredients when we already said it was our first time dining in. Also there was only ONE single potato. My coworker also ordered a side of Garlic noodles. Everything was super delicious. It was the amount of spicy mild that we like. The environment was busy, but clean. Parking was easy to find. Just more explaining about what you offer, where the gloves are to eat, rather than you just pass us this tray of stuff. A need of more customer service would had been nicer.

But when I saw that this far-from-ubiquitous chain had opened an outlet right near my home, I figured I'd try it. And I was pretty satisfied. First off, they have a lunch special, which is smaller than their regular combo. Second, you get two out of a choice of half a dozen shellfish: I picked clams, which are really easy to get the meat out from the shell, and crawfish, which aren't so difficult to extract the tail meat (the only edible part worth the trouble) from either. Comes with potato and/or corn. Third is that the food comes with not only a bib and a towelette, but clear plastic gloves. I put these on and felt no difficulty in eating off them, and they did keep my hands clean. I like that. Although there are two levels of spiciness below "mild," I found the mild to be not too spicy, and the Cajun seasoning was delicious, worth scooping up in my gloved hands after I'd finished the seafood. Not too large a meal - maybe next time I'll have a full combo - but tasty. Attentive service - someone was watching to see when I was done, and came over right afterwards.

They're good, but not the best I've had. With my combo 1, I got head-on shrimp and clams with the atomic sauce and mild spice. I heard the atomic was a combination aka Whole She-bang etc. which is what I normally get from seafood boil places. It was ok, nothing too special, very chunky sauce with lots of garlic. The mild spice, however, was really more like a medium spice as it only took a couple of shrimp to really feel it. For my head-on shrimp, most of the shrimp heads were already like detached from the body which defeats the entire purpose of it. They were also on the small side which I know it's by the pound but it's noticeable. It was very underwhelming in terms of that. The clams were good, not much to say about those other than they were absolutely drenched in the chunky sauce. Overall, this place is ok. Nothing really stood out to me compared to other seafood boil places.

This was good and 2 orders was enough to feed about 10 people with one slice each. The server did take away the leftover pieces without asking if anyone was going to eat it though. For the main dish, I got the Penne con Pollo. The dish was a bit bland in my opinion and was not really memorable. My dish was one of the last ones to come out and before it came out, a server had come around with a bowl of parmesan, offering it to those who already got my order. However, since I got my dish after, I never got the chance to ask for parmesan. For dessert, I got a slice of tiramisu, which I also thought was okay. There was uneven amounts of lady fingers (took a photo of the better side but the opposite side was mainly just cream). Probably could use a bit more dusting of cocoa powder as well. I did feel that the service felt a bit rushed and disorganized (such as forgotten utensils), though it may have been a one off day.

The fish was just okay, and the bean paste stew was a bit disappointing, it lacked flavor. Note: Just my personal preference, I didn't love the shredded rice paper sprinkles on top of the pancake. While it was likely added for a crunchy texture, it unfortunately wasn't crispy. By the end of our meal, the place had gotten crowded, and I noticed many people ordering the marinated raw seafood.
