Chicken Katsu with mac salad and rice (oddly tasted like instant rice)

I tried the fish taco combo with salmon and Mahi Mahi on my latest visit. They were both prepared well and very tasty with lots of fish, fresh cabbage, carrot, mangoes and a slightly tangy cream sauce. It also included a very generous portion of their yummy seasoned fries. It was a delicious meal, and I'm looking forward to trying more items from their menu, like one of their Loco Moco options - thinking spam...

We found a different type of restaurant than our usual and we are super happy with the choice. They have a grill, so the seafood is cooked perfectly charred and smoky. Sides were great and the service was friendly. Highly recommend and will come back. I ordered the fish and chips and it hit the spot.

These guys are still amazing! Perfectly grilled salmon and very healthy too. Good service, clean environment, not too crowded.

Fish's wild is tucked at the corner of a huge shopping plaza. When you enter, there's ample indoor and outdoor season. You'll order at the front counter, and they'll bring the food out. I got the grilled barramundi (Asian sea bass) plate which was huge!! The fish was ginormous and the sides were also generous. It was filing and it felt like a healthy meal. The meal was homey, but honestly, it wasn't too special. Personally, I feel like I could make it at home, which is why I rate it a 4 and not a 5. Everything met standards, just nothing was too special! Great value though.

This place was delicious! Great seating and portions were bigger than expected! Love that it tasted fresh, and theres even beer and wine options! I got the chicken bbq and katsu combo, my boyfriend got the katsu curry plate. Both were way above expectations! Honestly, the mac salad tasted like it does on hawaii :) you can order by kiosk or register, and there's even booths to sit, which made it a much better experience inside! Also, they gave us metal forks and knives with a ceramic-like plates! Definitely a top pick for us!

Stoped in thinking I was going to order some type of fish as per the name but after seeing they sold Hawaiian food. Bringing from the islands I always gotta try so I went the safe route and got the bbq chicken. First impressions store is clean and quiet with some background radio music. Outside is a nice seating area of 3 tables. Food was quick and came out hot. As all food should be. The bbq chicken was cooked beautifully, still moist yet charred from the grill. Mandated in a lite sauce that brings out the flavor of the chicken thigh. But from here the side were not just disappointing but boarder line uneatable. The rice was dry and flavorless yet had some dark brown seasoning that did it no favors. The Mac was missing that sweet onion taste and had little to no, mayo and cider vinegar. The only reason we did not give 3 stars was the service was good and quick. I'll be back to try the fish plates but I'll be avoiding the side.

I honestly didn't know you could fine a fast food type fish restaurant with such fresh ingredients. My son and I went here for lunch and got fried clams and mahi mahi with veggies and rice. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The decor inside is clean and bright. It's not cheap but worth it for the quality of the food that is freshly prepared to order. Staff is super friendly.

Located in Cupertino, parking is plentiful and easy to find. The interior is super quiet. There's no music and the cooks don't make a lot of noise when preparing the food. Chicken katsu curry (4/5): quite spicy but sooo good. The chicken was tender and crispy. The portion was mighty sizable and the veggies were fresh. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Fish's wild is a great place for some delicious Asian fusion. The price is a bit high for what you get the quality of the food makes up for it.

Thankfully, there was plenty of street parking right around. We walked in and saw the good selection of food available on the steam table. We both ordered a 2-item plate; mine had the lechon kawali (deep fried pork) and the longanisa (breakfast sausage), while she chose the sisig (chopped up pork cooked with onion and jalapeños) and fried bangus (milkfish). Our plates also came with steamed rice and soup. Since this is a cafeteria style place, our food was ready to eat (though our server offered to heat up the bangus a little in the kitchen). The lechon was very good, not too fatty but still had plenty of crispy skin to go along with the meat. The longanisa was also tasty, very sweet and not spicy. My devoured the bangus, dipping it in spicy vinegar. Since we were in a bit of a hurry, we took some of our food home for breakfast the day. This is a very solid place for a quick meal. There isn't much seating inside, and there were many orders placed to-go while we were having lunch. Will definitely return the next time we're in the area.

The layout is much like a "Panda Express" style, or what is traditionally known in Filipino culture as a *turo-turo* ("point-point") restaurant. You line up at the glass counter, pick whatever combo size you want, and they plop the portions onto your plate as you move down the line. It leans m heavily on the greasy side, but it delivers that exact, deeply savory Filipino flavor profile that you just crave. The Winners: The pancit (noodles) was good and hit the spot. The beef with gravy, the classic Beef Mechado (stewed with potatoes in a rich tomato-based gravy), was another highlight, incredibly flavorful. The Critique: (Timing is Key) You should try to time your visit right. If you catch them right at a transition or later in a service stretch, some items can sit a bit. On our last visit, the deep-fried pork belly (lechon kawali) and the chicken adobo were unfortunately on the dry side. Next Time's Order: The Lumpia Shanghai (mini fried pork spring rolls) are light, crispy, and a crowd favorite. Definitely add a side of those on your next trip! It's an unassuming, local gem that serves up great flavor; just try to get there when the batches are fresh out of the kitchen!

The produce section was not as extensive as those at other Asian markets, but it was still adequate. However, the store carried many unique candies and snacks that I have not seen elsewhere. Notably, sakura flavored products were especially common during my visit. There were two large sections dedicated to premade meals, including rice bowls, hand rolls, onigiri, and sushi. The rolls seemed overly heavy on the rice, with relatively little fish filling. The prices also felt somewhat high for the portion sizes. However, the store offers a 20 percent discount on sushi and bento boxes daily after 6 PM. I ordered the nigiri combination, which included salmon, tuna, and scallop. The scallop was plump, and the tuna was sliced thickly. The salmon was slightly thin but still rich and fatty. Overall, the fish quality was good. The sushi rice was above average, with a distinct vinegar flavor despite being refrigerated. The total cost for the eight pieces was close to restaurant pricing, though the convenience factor partly justified it. I would rate this market a 3.5 out of 5 but rounded up for the good sushi rice. I would recommend shopping elsewhere for produce, but this is a good place for snacks and premade meals, especially after 6 PM.

I walked in, relieved to discover it was a poke spot, and decided to have lunch there. I ordered a bowl with white rice as my base and two proteins: tuna and yellowtail. To my surprise, I could add five toppings, so I went with crab meat, mango, cucumber, edamame, and scallions. I don't recall the exact sauces or sprinkles they put on, but the bowl was enormous--which explained the nearly $30 price tag! I grabbed a seat by the window overlooking the parking lot. The chair was a bit snug, but I didn't mind as I dug into my fresh, flavorful poke bowl. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The staff member helping me was new, shadowed by the manager as he assembled my order, but he did a great job! After another grueling 90-minute Bikram Yoga session, I debated between returning here or grabbing Taco Bell, which was much cheaper and in the same shopping center. Despite the price difference, I chose the healthier option. Since the restaurant was packed and I was eager to get home, I decided to order to go. This time, a young woman helped me build a bowl with half purple rice and half white rice. Purple rice is a highly nutritious whole grain, so I was eager to try it. It had a ougher texture to chew than white or brown rice, but I still enjoyed my lunch. For protein, I chose tuna and spicy tuna. I rattled off a long list of toppings before realizing I'd already hit the five-topping limit. I wished I could swap one of the mangoes out, but instead, I paid the extra $1.25 for an additional topping. The young woman was efficient, and I was out of there in no time. Overall, I'm a fan of this restaurant. I can definitely see myself coming back after future Bikram Yoga sessions in the 'torture chamber.'

Luckily, I'm pretty familiar with Asian foods and flavors, so I was able to figure it out on my own. I also added a vegan note in the comments of my order for good measure. Most restaurants with a build-your-bowl model have different pricing for the vegetarian and vegan options because tofu is much less expensive than items like steak or salmon. However, here, it's one price for every bowl. I placed a pickup order; it was ready right away, and the woman at the front was very nice. Here's what I got: Purple Rice, Grilled Vegetables, Grilled Corn, Grilled Tofu, Beets, Chunk Tofu, Edamame, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Jalapeño Ponzu (Spicy), Classic Unagi, Sauce on Top, Onion Flakes, Garlic Flakes. Everything was really flavorful, and I loved the contrasting textures. Although it was a bit on the pricey side, the bowl was super filling, and the portions are very large; they definitely don't skimp on the toppings or tofu. I wasn't able to finish it all. I will say I didn't see unagi sauce, but I could taste the ponzu. I was under the impression that most commercial unagi sauce is vegan, but maybe they use something non-vegan in theirs? I checked with Gemini, it said: when unagi sauce is prepared using traditional methods, fish-based flavor enhancers, or hidden animal byproducts might be used. Either way, if theirs is non-vegan, I appreciate them following my note and not putting it in my bowl. Overall, I think the food was really good and I could see myself ordering again.
