    Combo shrimp and & Crab
    Miguel L.

Yesterday I got the Combo Shrimp and Crab salad and some clam chowder and a Crab sandwich with some fries. That was a FEAST and enjoyed every single bite. The location is small/medium size with outdoor tables available. Easy to find off a busy Hwy 85 in Cupertino California. I decided to go order so I could come home and fill up my belly and mouth with some great seafood. There were two males and a female working there handling all of us hungry customers. They are bilingual spanish speaking individuals. I have also been to the Morgan Hill location. If you are looking for the authentic, fisherman wharf type of seafood. Give this place a try and guaranteed you will enjoy it.

My first time and I probably ordered too much. Everything was good. The oysters Rockefeller is not as good as Tadich Grill's in SF. But for the price of the OR here which is only $20.50 for six pieces, it's really very good value and worth it. As I was leaving I saw a board outside on happy hour prices indicating a single fried fish was cheaper than what I had paid for. Other than that, everything was delicious and satisfactory. Looking forward to another meal here.

On a visit down to visit the in-laws in the South Bay, SIL suggested this place for a late lunch Saturday arriving around 2:35pm. Located in Stanley Square which consisted of several storefronts with a parking lot in the back. Across the street from the US Post Office. The four of us had a nice booth by the front entrance. Ordered off a two page laminated menu. The four of us each ordered seafood - * hubby had the three piece fish and chips. Huge fillets fried perfectly. And hot. * I had a cup of clam chowder and fish tacos. The soup was creamy but lacked clams. The soft tacos were just enough. * SIL had four deep fried oysters and prawns. One of her go to orders. * BIL had a green salad and rainbow trout. Everything looked fresh. * hubby & I ordered beer and BIL had hot tea. Service was friendly. It's a family owned business. Conveniently located near Hwy 280 entrance.

We don't eat a lot of deep fried fish and chips, but when we do (like tonight) The City Fish is our favorite. The location is small, but clean, the service is efficient; and the portions are BIG, moist and delicious.

I love this place. Best fish n chips around, better than some fancy coastal restaurants! Prices are very fair, in fact a bargain. I've eaten here 4 times now and have always been fully satisfied with the service, quality and quantity of food Not a fancy place, dress casual and just enjoy the food.

You'll find parking near the rear of the restaurant. They have shared parking with neighboring business. When you walk in it's a small restaurant but they are producing some delicious food. I started with the crab cakes they tasted fresh and made to order. Then Moved on to the fish . They were large, filling, and had the normal toppings. The oysters Rockefeller wow so cheesy and delicious . I also got the fried platter with the shrimps scallops, fish and some French fries . All good battered perfectly amd fried to perfection. Wow all around good I even got a pasta to afterwards The service was attentive and the food came out in decent time. 2 young men were servicing the tables when I dinner in and they provided great service not only to me but to everyone in the establishment. Alot of great options I didn't get to try, I will surely return

We came here for lunch after a hike and enjoyed the dining experience. If sea animal meat is not considered real meat, then this is a great spot for Lenten Friday, which partially explained why it was so busy. This was my second visit just like my previous one replenishing from a hike except i got company this time. My scallop and fish w/fries was excellent. The batter was light, meat fresh and ample. The crunchy biting effect was satisfying. The fries however was not the best I've had. The solid starchiness inside might prove they used frozen potatoes. Tasted Seabass in my son's plate, it was amazing! The delicate fish fillet was seasoned to perfection accompanied by creamy mashed potato and fresh, generous salad. Staff were friendly and attentive. Our server kept refilling soda drink for us. Interior decor was sea themed and retro. Vibe was vivacious. Will try their happy hour next time.

In a restaurant clearly full of local regulars I felt right at home. The service was excellent, the two gentlemen running the front of the house could not have been nicer. I wanted to try the chowder and something else from the non fried side, and the waiter recommended the lobster roll. It was packed, loaded, creamy and delicious. I enjoyed the coleslaw as well. But both were second best to the service! I couldn't even finish the lobster roll it was so huge and when I accidentally left it on the table in the to-go container my man tracked me down outside in an instant to catch me. Nice bunch of folks running this place. You can tell there are a lot of people who have been coming in here for a long time, which made my random dart throw at a restaurant today more enjoyable. Thanks for the hospitality and good bites! 6 stars.

    Fish & chips

Review is only for their tempura style fish & chips. The batter was super crispy, even after the drive to bring it home 20 minutes later. I had known of their DTSJ location, but didn't know this location has been around for years as well! Very decent fish & chips (3 piece fish plus chips for 18 bucks which came out to 21 bucks total with tax). I was impressed that the it stayed crispy and did not get soggy (I left the container open). The chips (fries) were seasoned and mostly still crispy as well. There is street parking and a parking lot in the back as well. Even had 2 comfy looking tables and seats outside. Would love to come back and try other items and see if they're any good as well.

Grilled fish, really liked how minimal the mayo was in the coleslaw

Have had this place bookmarked for years! We came to Anza flea market and finally had a chance to come for lunch. Overall I liked this location more than the Morgan Hill one. The main draw is the fish and chips and these are closer to American style than they are to UK. The fries are a nice medium cut and were great. Fish was slightly over fried but still tasted good. We got 3 pieces of fish for a family of 4 and while it was enough fish there weren't enough fries, next time we would get 2 orders. Sea bass: grilled with a paprika blend. Well cooked and easily flak d with a spoon we got them with a side of coleslaw and tomatoes with basil. Loved the coleslaw, even though it was sitting in a lot of liquid. A nice light hint of mayo and the cabbage tasted super fresh. Wife got the clam chowder, heavy handed on the cream and would pass in it next time.

City fish is amazing for seafood lovers. Anytime I crave seafood this is my go to for fresh stuff. I love their food, I love how quick their service is and the staff is very attentive to you and explains the specials of the day very well. The atmosphere is very simple, diner style and Hu good for 4 people in a group. I am sure the can re-arrange tables to make room for larger groups. The clam chowder is yum, I even love their fresh sea bass and my kid enjoys the fish and chips. The crab cakes are great too. I keep cooking back here and if anyone loves seafood this is the place to be.

Came in during Cupertino's City Fish's Happy Hour Mon - Fri 3:00 - 5:00! Had a nice variety of Oysters on the half shell, Wings and fries, Prawns and Bread. Javier and Jesus always offer friendly and efficient service. Will always keep coming back!

The lobster roll is amazing, packed with fresh, generous portions of meat. I highly recommend this place.

    Dinner! Clams and mussels.

Does the clam chowder have bacon or any other meat in it?

No bacon, no pieces of obviously non-clam meat. Don't know if there was chicken broth but it didn't taste like it, and clam broth would be more normal.

My coworker and I ordered their 2 lbs; 1lb shrimp, half clams, half calamari with a free side of Corn. In a bag/plate, it already includes corn and potatoes. We asked how many corn there was, he said there was ONE. When the plate came, there was 4. We could of ordered something else for the side if it was clearer. I wish there was more clearer instructions on ingredients when we already said it was our first time dining in. Also there was only ONE single potato. My coworker also ordered a side of Garlic noodles. Everything was super delicious. It was the amount of spicy mild that we like. The environment was busy, but clean. Parking was easy to find. Just more explaining about what you offer, where the gloves are to eat, rather than you just pass us this tray of stuff. A need of more customer service would had been nicer.

What can I say about The Anchors Team, Carlos and their amazing gracious care for their guests?…read more Nothing but PURE perfection! Tonight was my first time to the Saratoga location. We live in Downtown San Jose and remember when Anchors opened at San Pedro Square. We so love that place. Great Food and perfect service. Carlos was working there and was always so pleasant and made sure we were always well taken care of. Life gets in the way so we spent less time out at San Pedro so the last few times we went we went to get our favorite seafood we did not see Carlos. A few months ago I was caring for a client's pups and we needed dinner. So my husband Wayne went into Saratoga to go to Anchors to pick up some dinner for us. He gave me the best news that Carlos was at the Saratoga location. I was so excited because I had missed seeing "our friend". He always made us feel some comfortable. Wayne wanted to go to Anchors Saratoga to celebrate his birthday tonight! Who am I to say no? When we walked thru the door I was so happy to see Carlos ! He welcomed us with such a warm smile and was attentive to every detail including welcoming Wayne by his name! We had the most delicious calamari appetizer I have ever had followed by Creamy Lemon Garlic Seafood Pasta - TOTAL PERFECTION!!!!!!! *side note! First night was a Thursday. I ordered the fish and chips which were ok. Nothing spectacular. The scene was dead and there was maybe only 7-10 other people in the entire pub. Second night I came was on a Saturday. I only ordered drinks. There was a bigger crowd but barely, 15-20 people. Overall my opinion of this place is positive and yet I was disappointed that it wasn't better. It's in a great location. There's hotels and condominiums in the area all within walking distance. The atmosphere is great. The staff is awesome! It has so many positive aspects that should make it a regular hangout spot but for some reason it's failing. I'm giving it 5 stars because I feel it deserves better. People should give this place a shot. There is a dart board that is free to play which I think is awesome. A big patio area for large parties. The beer prices are very reasonable. Suggestion to the establishment: They have an AMI juke box, but on both nights the volume was turned down pretty low which kind of made me feel like I wasn't getting my money's worth. Turn it up!!! This place needs to figure out if it wants to be a restaurant that serves beer or be a bar that serves food. Personally I think it needs to realize that it needs to focus on being a bar. There's 15 other restaurants within walking distance from here and that food is 100 times better. This place should focus on getting the customers that leave those restaurants for after meal drinks.

Anchors has a very small patio with about 4 tables and if you're coming at 11:00 AM, one person will be in the shade and one person will be in the sun. After reading fellow yelp reviews, we decided to try the salt and pepper calamari and of course the fish and chips. Both were delicious and I would say that the salt and pepper calamari stood out just a bit more in flavor. The fish and chips were fresh and nicely battered, but still could have used a little bit of seasoning. We found ourselves using the tartar sauce frequently. Surprisingly, the fries were actually pretty good. Service was a bit slow on the patio, even though there were only a few patrons both inside and outside. Otherwise, we would definitely visit again.
