Ciabatta Crab Sandwich sub with Sourdough.
Jimmy P.

The ciabata crab sando with Jalapeno Poppers is my favorite combo. I tried it with the sourdough and it was so good. Shoutout to the wonderful and friendly staff. Javi, Jesus, Tony, Chewy, Pinky, Polo! The chocoflan is a must order

We dropped by during happy hour and tried their oysters, fish taco, chicken wings and fries, and fried fish. The oysters were 10/10, juicy, fresh, and plump meat. They were 1.75$ each. The fish taco was ginormous with grilled fish and two tortillas. The fried fish was nicely battered and tender. The chicken wings were solid -- nothing to write home about, just basic but a solid option if you're not into fish (or want fries, which is why we got them). The service is great, friendly staff!

2 gigantic pieces of fried fish and coleslaw

Very nice servers, friendly and helpful. Generous portion. Wanted fish and chips, replaced chips with coleslaw (a bit too sweet). Fish was super fresh and not too greasy. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Shrimp Device with lots of fried tortillas. The clam and mussels portion appeared more than 2 dozens. Broth was so good with lemon, butter, and garlic. Plenty of parking front and back. Neighborhood spot. Choco flan was a bit thick.

On a visit down to visit the in-laws in the South Bay, SIL suggested this place for a late lunch Saturday arriving around 2:35pm. Located in Stanley Square which consisted of several storefronts with a parking lot in the back. Across the street from the US Post Office. The four of us had a nice booth by the front entrance. Ordered off a two page laminated menu. The four of us each ordered seafood - * hubby had the three piece fish and chips. Huge fillets fried perfectly. And hot. * I had a cup of clam chowder and fish tacos. The soup was creamy but lacked clams. The soft tacos were just enough. * SIL had four deep fried oysters and prawns. One of her go to orders. * BIL had a green salad and rainbow trout. Everything looked fresh. * hubby & I ordered beer and BIL had hot tea. Service was friendly. It's a family owned business. Conveniently located near Hwy 280 entrance.

Yesterday I got the Combo Shrimp and Crab salad and some clam chowder and a Crab sandwich with some fries. That was a FEAST and enjoyed every single bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is small/medium size with outdoor tables available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Easy to find off a busy Hwy 85 in Cupertino California. I decided to go order so I could come home and fill up my belly and mouth with some great seafood. There were two males and a female working there handling all of us hungry customers. They are bilingual spanish speaking individuals. I have also been to the Morgan Hill location. If you are looking for the authentic, fisherman wharf type of seafood. Give this place a try and guaranteed you will enjoy it.

We don't eat a lot of deep fried fish and chips, but when we do (like tonight) The City Fish is our favorite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is small, but clean, the service is efficient; and the portions are BIG, moist and delicious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My first time and I probably ordered too much. Everything was good. The oysters Rockefeller is not as good as Tadich Grill's in SF. But for the price of the OR here which is only $20.50 for six pieces, it's really very good value and worth it. As I was leaving I saw a board outside on happy hour prices indicating a single fried fish was cheaper than what I had paid for. Other than that, everything was delicious and satisfactory. Looking forward to another meal here.

Two piece combo with clam chowder

Hadn't had fish and chips in a while and happened to come across this place! So happy it's down the street from work. I ordered the combo with two pieces and the clam chowder. With tax and tip, it came out to around $20. The order includes fries so it was a pretty generous amount of food. I love how flaky and crispy the fish was. A little under seasoned, but so yummy with the tartar sauce, malt vinegar and lemon. The clam chowder was so rich and flavorful. I also appreciate how full the cup of chowder was lol. The fries were nothing magical. I took it to go, but the employee who took my order was nothing but helpful!

You'll find parking near the rear of the restaurant. They have shared parking with neighboring business. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you walk in it's a small restaurant but they are producing some delicious food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I started with the crab cakes they tasted fresh and made to order. Then Moved on to the fish . They were large, filling, and had the normal toppings. The oysters Rockefeller wow so cheesy and delicious . I also got the fried platter with the shrimps scallops, fish and some French fries . All good battered perfectly amd fried to perfection. Wow all around good I even got a pasta to afterwards The service was attentive and the food came out in decent time. 2 young men were servicing the tables when I dinner in and they provided great service not only to me but to everyone in the establishment. Alot of great options I didn't get to try, I will surely return

Fish & chips

Review is only for their tempura style fish & chips. The batter was super crispy, even after the drive to bring it home 20 minutes later. I had known of their DTSJ location, but didn't know this location has been around for years as well! Very decent fish & chips (3 piece fish plus chips for 18 bucks which came out to 21 bucks total with tax). I was impressed that the it stayed crispy and did not get soggy (I left the container open). The chips (fries) were seasoned and mostly still crispy as well. There is street parking and a parking lot in the back as well. Even had 2 comfy looking tables and seats outside. Would love to come back and try other items and see if they're any good as well.

I love this place. Best fish n chips around, better than some fancy coastal restaurants! Prices are very fair, in fact a bargain. I've eaten here 4 times now and have always been fully satisfied with the service, quality and quantity of food [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not a fancy place, dress casual and just enjoy the food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Grilled fish, really liked how minimal the mayo was in the coleslaw
Jay P.

Have had this place bookmarked for years! We came to Anza flea market and finally had a chance to come for lunch. Overall I liked this location more than the Morgan Hill one. The main draw is the fish and chips and these are closer to American style than they are to UK. The fries are a nice medium cut and were great. Fish was slightly over fried but still tasted good. We got 3 pieces of fish for a family of 4 and while it was enough fish there weren't enough fries, next time we would get 2 orders. Sea bass: grilled with a paprika blend. Well cooked and easily flak d with a spoon we got them with a side of coleslaw and tomatoes with basil. Loved the coleslaw, even though it was sitting in a lot of liquid. A nice light hint of mayo and the cabbage tasted super fresh. Wife got the clam chowder, heavy handed on the cream and would pass in it next time.

City fish is amazing for seafood lovers. Anytime I crave seafood this is my go to for fresh stuff. I love their food, I love how quick their service is and the staff is very attentive to you and explains the specials of the day very well. The atmosphere is very simple, diner style and Hu good for 4 people in a group. I am sure the can re-arrange tables to make room for larger groups. The clam chowder is yum, I even love their fresh sea bass and my kid enjoys the fish and chips. The crab cakes are great too. I keep cooking back here and if anyone loves seafood this is the place to be.

Fo you offer gluten-free fish and chips?

Does the clam chowder have bacon or any other meat in it?

No bacon, no pieces of obviously non-clam meat. Don't know if there was chicken broth but it didn't taste like it, and clam broth would be more normal.

How far out do you deliver to? I'm in Mountain View.

Don't believe they deliver, best bet is to use a food delivery app

Does the batter have dairy (cows milk) in it? How about the fries , are they battered also and with dairy? (Dairy allergy here)... thanks!

I don't know but the batter is very light - like a tempura batter. It's really good. Calling…

Is it cod or something else for the fish and chip?

It is Cod and it is a big piece. Enjoy!

We are ALWAYS so impressed with the yummy food (we always get 2lbs shrimp/2lbs crawfish combo in Medium Cap't Loui sauce with garlic noodles, garlic bread, and Cajun fries). Wifey and I are stuffed after this but will cleanse our palate with complimentary popsicles in the freezer by the entrance. So yes, the seafood boil and food is absolutely phenomenal. But even MORE impressive is the generationally excellent customer service, in particular from Aung and Edward. They are true servant leaders and I noticed they take care of each and every patron as if they were family members or royalty. 4.5 Stars Rating (:…read more Been hearing about Cap't Loui for awhile now, but haven't tried it until now! I usually go to Cajun Bistro for seafood boil, but I find the quality of the seafood there to be inconsistent, which made me want to try a new place. I got the 4lb combo with crawfish (frozen, fresh is $5 extra), shrimp, and clams, including corn, sausages, and potatoes. We also got garlic noodles and a calamari basket with cajun fries. For seafood boil sauce, we opted for the cajun instead of lemon pepper. I wasn't sure if I would finish everything, but it was INHALED. I really like the seafood quality here, but sauce-wise, I prefer Cajun Bistro for the garlic butter sauce. Cap't Loui does not offer that sauce, but it was still delicious overall. Service is timely and our food came fast, so thats a big plus. Only complaint I have here is that I wish there was more sauce in the bowl. The bowl had too much food, so I couldn't dip or soak my seafood in the flavor.

We really enjoy going to the Cupertino location as we prefer the vibe and delightful ambiance. We were greeted kindly by the hostess and seated to our liking. Our server Frederico (sp?) was superb! He was knowledgeable about the menu items, friendly and approachable and he was very attentive. We started off with a drink and steamed edamame. My husband had a watermelon mule and I had my usual Shark fin. Both really good! If you like a cocktail with a little bit of sweetness to it, Either one is great. I believe the watermelon mule is a summer seasonal drink. The edamame may be a simple appetizer, however it is perfectly steamed and a great addition to a cocktail. I ordered the house salad which I really enjoy. It not your ordinary house salad. It has shiitake mushrooms, tomatoes, edamame, sprouts, miso dressing over greens. So god and well placed together. I also ordered the grilled salmon chowder and what an amazing mixture of flavors. So delicious! My husband ordered the Verlasso Salmon with Thai Brussells sprouts and creamy mashed potatoes. He really enjoyed the combination of flavors. We followed our meal with their signature coffee and we split a Crispy Dulce de Leche (banana cheesecake) spring roll with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce. Oh my goodness....so amazingly delicious! Overall a great experience especially being treated well by the server, the food runner, and the table busser person. My friend made reservations, and we were seated quickly in a nice booth. The menu is a bit small, but the choices are excellent. I had the two taco platter with one steak taco and one breaded cod taco with chips and salsa and a side salad. It was completely scrumptious. The steak taco had a slightly spicy chipotle-type sauce on it that gave it a nice flavor. The cod taco had a big piece of fish lightly breaded with a different kind of sauce that was also very good. I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed the side salad. I'm not much of a garden salad person, but the salad was extremely fresh with delicious edamame and miso dressing. I loved it. My friend also had the two taco platter, but she chose a sea bass taco with pineapple and a breaded shrimp taco with black beans and fries as sides. She enjoyed it. The waiter explained to us it was his first day and was attentive and polite. One dish came out incorrect, and he apologized profusely and took it back to the kitchen immediately to be fixed. It wasn't a big deal. I'll definitely be back to Pacific Catch.

But when I saw that this far-from-ubiquitous chain had opened an outlet right near my home, I figured I'd try it. And I was pretty satisfied. First off, they have a lunch special, which is smaller than their regular combo. Second, you get two out of a choice of half a dozen shellfish: I picked clams, which are really easy to get the meat out from the shell, and crawfish, which aren't so difficult to extract the tail meat (the only edible part worth the trouble) from either. Comes with potato and/or corn. Third is that the food comes with not only a bib and a towelette, but clear plastic gloves. I put these on and felt no difficulty in eating off them, and they did keep my hands clean. I like that. Although there are two levels of spiciness below "mild," I found the mild to be not too spicy, and the Cajun seasoning was delicious, worth scooping up in my gloved hands after I'd finished the seafood. Not too large a meal - maybe next time I'll have a full combo - but tasty. Attentive service - someone was watching to see when I was done, and came over right afterwards.
