Carne Asada Super taco. I was disappointed. The inner tortilla wasn't crispy, and the beans were kinda hard.

I was craving super tacos! I've been to Lopes Taqueria in Sunnyvale, but I haven't been to # 3. I requested the inner tortilla to be crispy. When I receive my order, it looked so appetizing, but the beans were hard and the tortilla wasn't crispy like I requested it. I was so disappointed since I wanted to fulfill my craving.

The food is so good here. I've come here maybe three times and it's been great each time. The salsa is on the spicy side so I could only have a few chips with it but that's just me. The cashier was nice and helpful. The food arrived quickly. It's a small taqueria with a food tables. There's a steady stream of people coming and going but it doesn't feel crowded or loud. They have TVs which had news playing the last time I was there. I'll definitely be back.

My new favorite. Used to go to Tacos El Paisa.com up in Oakland but I can't justify driving 1 hr up to my old stomping grounds to get buche tacos when we have fire MX food down south. Thankfully my partner found this place and the rest is history, when you get onions extra you really get a TON of extra onions, too much. Otherwise delicious. I wish they would let you choose what salsas you want though, they give me red when I usually only want green. The buche/tripa is crispy and delicious otherwise. Will be back.

Lopez Taqueria is a small Mexican restaurant that deserves more recognition. Coming from SoCal, my expectations for good Mexican food were low in NorCal, but Lopez Taqueria proved me wrong. Customer service was great, helpful, and fast. The restaurant itself is welcoming and feels homey. Prices are reasonable and I noticed they offered a lot of vegetarian options which is nice for those who don't eat meat. In SoCal, vegetarian options are very limited when it comes to Mexican restaurants so it was nice to see. I ordered the California Burrito with a Mexican Sprite. The burrito itself is big and they offer sauces (red and green). The burrito was so good that I forgot I even had the sauces until I was halfway through. The avocado were actual slices instead of the typical mashed up version, which was nice because it tasted more fresh and had more flavor. The meat was tender, moist, and packed with flavor. The fries were even seasoned and were soft in the inside. What stood out the most were the fries and I truly wish I could've gotten the carne asada fries just to eat the fries themselves. Tortilla was warmed and tasted fresh as well as being light. The tortilla actually held everything together and there were no "leaks". The sauces caught my attention as well because they weren't your typical red and green sauces. These ones tasted homemade and had a different flavor than most. The red tasted more of a Smokey Chipotle which was my favorite and the green was more of a zesty lime almost. Both were not too hot and complimented the burrito very nicely. The Mexican sprite was good too :) Overall, not even lying but this has to be the best burrito I have had so far. They blew my expectations out of the water and my partner had the same reaction. I wish I took photos of the insides of the burrito, but all I could think about was enjoying my meal. I will definitely be coming back.

Cannot believe there are 3 locations of this place. I am a regular at Lopez taqueria, but today decided to try out Lopez taqueria 3. Ordered my usual super burrito with asada, and wow the flavor is so consistent, taste exactly the same and good as the other location! Portion is great as always, and goes well with the 2 sauces they give: Green and red sauce. However, this place I feel took a little longer with my order. My go-to place for a quick and decently priced burrito. Their plates are also really good!

A very bad taste and an end to my Lopez burrito experience

I was thoroughly enjoying the burrito until I bit into a pebble halfway through. That's a red flag Although my previous experience with this chain of taqueria has been good, this is the end of my loyalty to this location.

I was in between activities and needed a place to get a To-Go order fairly quickly. I recalled this joint being near Sunnyvale's tennis/pickleball facility. This location is pretty narrow in size and sparse. Customers will find table/chairs, a refrigerator of drinks, and a small ordering counter. The "magic" must happen behind the wall, past the counter. Anyways, ordering was very easy and my order came out in less than 5 minutes. More importantly, it was a generously sized burrito that was good tasting. 2 types of salsas and 2 limes were provided. I wished, though, that they had included complementary chips. Perhaps I should have asked for them.

Solid with great portions. Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Friendly and efficient service! Ordering is quick and your food comes out in just a few minutes -- the staff also does. Great job of handling the constant flow of dine-in and take-out/delivery pick up orders. **Decor & cleanliness, 5/5** Clean, everything is always well-stocked, and there's a hand wash station in the back. **Price & portion, 5/5** A lot of the portions here are HUGE -- burritos are legitimately as thick as your forearm and the super tacos are heeeefty. **Taste, 4/5** My fave thing so far has been the regular taco! The corn tortillas are fantastic -- great flavor, crunch, and toastiness. The lengua and chile Verde are both great; generous, tender portions. The super taco is huge but felt pretty unbalanced. The tortillas with cheese and no onion ended up being super heavy and the tortillas themselves were reeeeally tough for some reason. Fish taco is also a very generous size and similar to the super taco, but I was hoping for a crispy breading. The breading was really thin and the entire inside got soggy. Super well seasoned though with piping hot, flakey fish inside, so go for it if you don't mind the lack of crunch! Overall, happy that I've found an easy go to for regular tacos and excited to try more things from their menu!

No shrimp in my burrito. Paid extra. But a good burrito

My sister tried the al pastor soft tacos and carne asada soft tacos and really enjoyed them. I tried the fish soft tacos and shrimp soft tacos. I had high hopes for the shrimp tacos but they were not as moist as I was hoping for so I was a bit bummed. I'd give them another chance though. You could stumble upon it through Yelp (as we did), discover it while staying at the adjacent Treehouse Hotel, or simply hear about it through word of mouth. The parking situation is an interesting one. After turning into the driveway from Mathilda Avenue, you have two options: turn right for valet parking or left into the Google parking lot. There are plenty of spaces available, though parking there is technically at your own risk. The restaurant told us they had not heard of anyone being ticketed or towed. We first dined here shortly after it opened in 2025 and were immediately impressed by the beautiful grounds. The hotel's eco-conscious gift shop, housed in a glass greenhouse and featuring a colorful vintage VW Bug, is a charming touch. The short walk to the restaurant feels especially relaxing on a warm, sunny day. This has become one of our favorite places to bring friends or host girls' lunches. With three distinct seating options: the dining room, bar, and patio, there's an atmosphere to suit just about any occasion, whether you're dining as a couple or gathering with a larger group. I would recommend visiting during lunch or dinner service and skipping the in-between hours. During that time, only the bar area is open and the menu is more limited. To fully experience what Valley Goat has to offer, lunch or dinner is the way to go. Despite the name, the only goat dish on the menu at the time of this review is the Goat Empanadas. My friend was initially hesitant to order them, but David, our wonderful server, and I encouraged her to give them a try. She was glad she did. There was no gamey flavor whatsoever; the meat tasted more like beef, and the accompanying sauce was excellent. Over several visits, we've enjoyed everything we've ordered and are delighted to have a restaurant of this caliber in our Bay Area backyard. Chef and co-owner Stephanie Izard, winner of Season 4 of Top Chef and an Iron Chef title, owns a total of nine restaurants, primarily in the Chicago area, along with locations in Los Angeles and one at Orlando International Airport. Since we enjoy traveling for great food, we'll definitely be adding some of her other restaurants to our list.

The service was quite slow throughout the evening. We ordered the goat empanadas, wood-fired Mary's chicken, sprouted cauliflower, eggplant, and sticky pork shank. What surprised me most was how similar everything tasted. From the appetizers to the main dishes, the flavors seemed repetitive and lacked distinction. Each dish looked appealing, but none really stood out. Overall, the food felt uninspired, and I didn't get the sense that much care had gone into developing unique flavors for the menu. Given the many 5-star reviews, I was expecting much more and left feeling disappointed. The ambiance is lovely, but I would not return for the food. Don't be misled by the photos, they were far more impressive than the actual dining experience.
