The place is a little hard to find and the front entrance is actually in the back of the building (right behind Zion market). It's a small gym with weights and treadmills. The have a health bar with juices and snacks. Very clean and easy to get around. The average age of the people that work here is about 82 years old. They don't offer a lot of classes, so check the schedule if there's something you are interested in. Wifey really wanted to check out the Zumba class. I went with, to see if Alexis Wright was running this place. As uncoordinated as I was, I actually had a lot of fun. The people that show up to class are regular grandmas. I don't know what was more disturbing, the 60 year old lady that was giving me tips on how to shake my booty, or me learning that I'm pretty good at doing a body roll. A little about my credentials: I'm about 6'0'' and weigh about 205lbs. I wear a size 34/34 jeans and Large t-shirts. I'm not really a fatty, but all the carbs I consume just happen to all go to my face. People have told me I kind of look like a full moon. I work out about 3 times a week - mostly cardio and some light weight lifting.

I am a Jiujitsu competitor and he has been coaching me to develop more strength and endurance. My technique, endurance and, consequently, ability to lift heavier weights improved dramatically since I started. StayFit OC gym also regularly hosts Hyrox preparation bootcamps. My friend and I participated in the most recent one to prepare for Hyrox Anaheim 2024; it was both challenging and rewarding! Carlos was coaching me throughout the class AND he gently provided corrections and injury prevention pointers. As an endurance athlete, I really appreciated the flow of the Leg Day class. Each set is perfectly timed to prioritize quality of the movement mindfully, rather than speeding through mindlessly. Parking was super easy, which is always a plus. The space is also very clean with lots of breathing room! On top of that everyone in the class is supportive, kind, and ready to get swoll!!! Some trainers leave you to do exercises and aren't engaged, but Prince is locked in every session. We have workouts built into an app for days we aren't in the gym with him, suggestions for meals, calorie intake & advice on lifestyle changes for optimum health. He's pleasant to be around, always punctual, clear communicator & an all around good guy. My Fiancé and I look forward to our weekly sessions! I would give a 6th star if possible…read more I have grown up chubby and fat my entire life. I always found comfort in food, and never really cared to take care of myself. I more importantly didn't want to put in the work necessary to lose weight. Around June of last year I started feeling very sluggish and I was terrified I maybe had neglected myself too long and had gotten diabetes. Luckily, tests came back stating I did not, and I decided I wanted to make a change right then and there. I am turning 30 this year, and I cant imagine how much of my life I have wasted being inactive and unhealthy and I wanted to change that. My best friend actually started working out with Dung a few weeks prior to me making contact with him. I was always weary of personal trainers, obviously the time and money commitment, but more so I have the stereotypical jock/bully from HS image of trainers in my head. I started working out with Dung in the middle of June 2013. It was the most excruciating thing in the world for me at first. I couldn't breath and felt like I was sitting more than exercising. When Dung went over my nutrition plan with me, he really sat down and explained to me why he was putting me on the diet he was. He explained the science behind and just how exactly everything would break down into my body and the benefit of eating a particular way. Dung, is not your atypical trainer, he tests you to know and understand your limits, but he continues to push you. I've worked out with him for 8 months and he constantly finds new and challenging things for me to do. Where I find Dung to be an invaluable resource is on the nutrition side. He is always available for me when I have a question about something I'm trying to make or eat and has suggestions on how to make it healthier or why I cannot eat a particular thing and the affect it would have on my body. Over 8 months, I have lost 100 lbs. I came to Dung weighing 321 lbs and now weigh 220. I never thought that would be possible, and honestly when I started I thought 100 would be my goal, and I would get there in 18 months. Now I am pushing for new and different goals. I've become very addicted to the fitness life. I know its cheesy to say, but the best investment you can make is in yourself. For me, this experience has and will continue to be worth every penny. I am forever indebted to Dung for the impact he has made on my life and the change he has helped foster within me to make a better life for myself.

Derek initially screened me and did an intake, monitoring my lifting skill level and form. Now, 9 months later, my flexibility, mobility and form has greatly improved. I hit new maxes on deadlift, squat and chest press I haven't hit before, but it took someone evaluating me and seeing my limitations to be able to improve.
