I've made two trips to this store - the first one with very good customer service, the second one with not so good customer service. Having never purchased golf clubs before, I went to Play It Again Sports on the recommendation of a few colleagues. On my first trip, I was referred to an employee who was very knowledgable about golf. The employee did an excellent job answering my questions and was able to set me up with a used set of irons and a putter, while giving me a good explanation of different products in the store. I returned for a second trip after my driver broke, expecting more good service. I asked one of the employees if they fix golf clubs. He abruptly told me that clubs are not fixed, and spoke in an attitude that he didn't want to be bothered. I asked if he knew where I could fix clubs, and he shot back that I should check Google. Then, I asked him if someone could help me decide if I should buy a new club instead of fixing it - which was when he sent me to the golf club section to figure it out on my own. I would expect an employee at a store that sells sporting goods, but doesn't fix them, should know where to fix sporting goods (the answer, which I got from another source, is PGA Superstore or a club repair shop at a local golf course). At the very least, I should be referred to another employee in the store who would know - if not information on repair, at least information on what I could purchase as a replacement. If I knew what to buy, I would go to Amazon instead of going to the store. And to be honest, I would recommend that you shop on Amazon instead of coming here. Good customer service which was sadly followed by an episode of very crummy customer service. I'd much rather spend more money at a place that treats me better than save a buck coming here.

When my car still wouldn't start, he invited me in to keep warm and comfortable while I wait things out. The team must've been aware of my failed jump, because as soon as I walked it, I was welcomed with a warm hello from the team. Warren especially was kind, we offered me a hot cup of coffee, a comfortable couch and ESPN on the TV. I felt like I was keep warm in a logged cabin while I waited for my husband to come my car rescue. Stuart and team were generous with their space. Needless to say, this shop will go above and beyond for you. I will be shopping at High Country Outfitters for all future gifts for my husband- they have all his favorite brands and out of this word customer service!

I found this store online when searching for soccer (fútbol) turf shoes for my Little. I ordered a size 13 adult instead of 13c for little kids and requested 2 day shipping since we had an event in a few days at the US Soccer Headquarters & Training Center. When I received the shoes on time I discovered my error. I went online and started a return and I was given the option to mail back for a fee or find a local store to complete the return. I soon discovered there are two stores in the Atlanta, Georgia (Doraville & Marietta) area. As much as I love shopping online, it is nice to touch and try on items until you know fit. When I arrived at the Doraville store almost 3 weeks after I generated the return QR code I did not have any problems. Mr. Oscer was helping someone at the register and had to research something. He greeted me immediately and kindly explained he would be with me in one moment. I was allowed to walk around with the box of shoes I brought from home and at some point chose to just leave them on the counter so I didnt have to hold them. As soon as Oscer was done he processed my return without any problems or complaints. He just needed my QR code and asked for order number. He was professional enough to let me know he was training the employee standing next to him. He asked if I needed help with anything else once the return was completed. While at the store I ended up purchasing some thinner socks that my child won't complain about. Oscar educated me on proper fit for shin guards and found a pair for my son that has more breathable material. I also learned about the World Cup official sticker collection and purchased a book and collector stickers.

Everything is set to be delivered in one week with the exception of the bench, which is a custom order. She also told me about the resale section and I got a brand new jacket at a sale price. I also always love that The gentleman in the shoe department was equally impressive, providing expert guidance that made my selection feel confident and informed. While they are much smaller than the Seattle's, they are more comprehensive gear shops around the Metro. This Perimeter REI is the best in our area. Sure, all Metro locations carry mostly same things plus or minus few inventory items / sizes. For me, it comes down to the staff and currently, this Sandy Springs REI has the most competent and attentive people. Recently, I ordered several hiking boots online and had to return one. I decided to return it to a store rather than by mail. I was educated on such huge staff knowledge differences on simple return process amongst local REI locations. It seems our consumer service level in most places have declined much in the past few years. However, as a Co-Op, REI has mostly kept up their service level even with my recent experience at another location. I appreciate Atlanta has many REI locations in a city that has very limited outdoor gear shops. One thing I absolutely find helpful at REI is their rock ramp to test the boots. Though when I was visiting many were shopping for OC sneakers. The staff here were more knowledgeable and helpful especially if you are early in your outdoor habits. Enjoy!
