I was gifted an older (~19 year old) higher quality True treadmill by family that couldn't use it anymore. When it was delivered, it was making some rough noise when turned on, so I knew I needed to find someone for maintenance. When I called Genady, he seemed very knowledgable as soon as I said the model number, which was pretty impressive for such an old unit. When he arrived two days later (yesterday), he not only knew that it needed a little tune up, but that there was an unusual synthetic "sleeve" around the front roller of the unit that he said tends to slip. He cut it off, cleaned up and oiled the machine, and now everything seems great. Very thorough, friendly, knowledgable, and communicative. Would very much give a recommendation for his services. Our elliptical was making strange noises and not operating smoothly, so I gave these guys a call. My message was returned with an hour by a very nice man named Genady. He asked me several questions about the elliptical and what it was doing. I got the distinct impression that he really knew his stuff (although, to be fair, you could probably impress me with a technical description of a pencil sharpener). We scheduled an appointment. He called the day before our appointment to let me know he was in our area and would be available if it was convenient for us. I was away for the afternoon but my husband was home. We have an older industrial grade treadmill at work, and the belt tore. I located Genady on Yelp, and left him a message. He called me back shortly, and took the model name and serial number. From that info he was able to give me a rough estimate on how much parts and labor would be. It sounded very reasonable, so we scheduled a time for him to review the treadmill. He came out on the scheduled day, and was on time. He ran through several options with me, and then gave me a timeframe for his return trip to replace the belt. Well he just left 20 minutes ago, and the repair was completed without a problem. I called this service because my treadmill was not working properly. my kids were playing with it and the incline setting was stuck on to constantly try and lift the drive belt. Anyway, he came over next day and fixed it so that it was not doing it. He was dressed clean and was very professional, he gave me a quote for the repair but since I bought it used the repair came to more than what I paid for it. Plus he warned me that the treadmill all together was not made to be ran on daily for an hour (between me and my wife we run at least 1.5 hours per day on this thing). He offered for us to buy a used unit from him and even said he would give us the service call as credit toward the new one since it was not worth fixing my old one. The belt slipped off my ancient elliptical. I emailed Genady through the website and received a phone call almost immediately. He stopped by the next day and determined that the wheel needed to be replaced. It was questionable whether or not he could get parts so we decided I'd replace it with one that Genady was expecting. He would deliver the new-to-me machine, taking the old one for me. The price for service is very reasonable as was the ballpark figure for the new one. Found this company via yelp. Read the reviews and called Genady (owner). He came over and fixed our treadmill in an hour. Gave us some advice on maintaining the unit and fixed the problem. We had guests over and one of their kids had somehow shoved plastic into the wheel base which was affecting the motion sensor. Genady fixed the unit at the price ($95) he quoted (service call) but he was upfront that it may cost more if parts needed to be replaced (which they didn't). We'll definitely call him again if any of the other units need service. read more

OMG, Genady's 27 years of experience paid off for me! I had a treadmill and an elliptical moaning and groaning, and expected major trouble. He waxed the deck of the treadmill, inspected the motor and lift shaft and determined the problem to be minimal. Then he found the cement the treadmill was on to be slightly unlevel, so we folded some thin cardboard, placed it under both legs of one side and the treadmill ran perfectly. The sounds of the elliptical were the result of faulty assembly, not tightening the frame screws enough. Genady was so knowledge, I feel I lucked out choosing the right company. He lubricated both pieces of equipment, spent a little over an hour here and the cost was $95. Well worth it. read more

Genady is super nice, FAST, and very helpful when it came to teaching me some stuff that I didn't know about the treadmill. I called him because our treadmill had started making noise. He replaced the front roller, but immediately after, the noise persisted, and it started having new issues (the belt would seize up occasionally). He came back out (didn't charge me for that trip) but said that basically everything else (rollers, motor) were going as well. So I spent about $300 or 2 service calls and the front roller and now I'm just going to use the treadmill til it dies, because it's not worth putting that much money into it. read more

I recently bought a used Precor 546 Elliptical and a Vectra 1600 Online weight set. The elliptical needed a new set of belts and the Vectra needed to be put back together after we had moved it to our home. I called Genady at Fitness Equipment Repair and within 24 hours he traveled 75 miles to my home to repair both. If you're familiar with the Vectra, you know that this is a good quality gym but requires a level of expertise to put together that most people don't have. I am not happy with this company. I called him to evaluate my treadmill. As soon as he came to my home, he came close and squeezed my arm (too close for comfort) and attempted to come near me in the same way the entire time of the appointment. I felt scared.
