We stopped by Utah Home Fitness to rent ElliptiGOs actually, a sort of bicycle meets elliptical machine invention. We rent them for four hours through a Groupon and actually had a lot of fun riding them. It was a little difficult to get used to at first, but after awhile the ElliptiGOs were great fun. If you haven't seen one in action, Google it. If you need equipment for your home gym, Utah Home Fitness seems like the place to go. I was impressed. Support local business.

Then informed that they don't have any repair person available to cover their warranty. Was told that I need to call an outside company then pay for labor but of course parts are free. What kind of warranty within a year is that? This is a very poorly run business that sells high end fitness equip and once the sale is made you are on your own. Angel asked right away if he could help me. I told him what I was looking for,. He was very patient with me. Since the store is set up that the sales associate has to go in the back to pull the shoes/boots from inventory. I put a lot of miles on Angel today. I think I tried on every possible hiking boot that they had available. The answer was always nope this one isn't going to work for some reason or another, mostly due to comfort. I was about to walk out again defeated when he said "Why don't you try these Bearpaws they look similar to the boots you have on." I said "Sure, let's give it a whirl." He came back empty handed saying they didn't have my size in stock. He quickly added that he could see if another store, in the valley, had my size, and he could have the boots transferred to that store. He called around, the store in West Valley had my size. He said I could drive all the way across town, or I could come back when they transferred. I opted to come back. I didn't want to drive across town, in traffic, to try on a pair of boots that I wasn't sure would fit me or not. He said it would take around 10 days. Just to come across town...ummm ok. I wasn't in a rush so it was ok I would have to have to wait. Angel was so helpful in this seamless process. I was also able to find a new hiking pack similar to the one I've used for years. It was a disappointment that they didn't carry the same style, but that isn't Angels fault, and the pack was similar enough that I'm sure I will enjoy it just as much. Fast forward a few days later my boots were in to pick up. That's faster than the 10 days I was told. I told them I would be by on the weekend to pick them up, well actually to try them on to see if I liked them. The next day someone else called to tell me my boots were in, I told them I had already spoken to someone, and I would be by this weekend. So the weekend came, and again I went hiking in my old boots. I stopped by to check out these Bearpaw boots. What a difference a week makes when it comes to customer service. I had to ask for help. I asked if Angel was there, and they said he had the day off. I told them what I was there for, and the two sales associates at the counter looked at each other like "what is she talking about". Someone found the boots, and handed them to me...and I was left on my own. After trying them on, I decided to buy them, and try them out. They were similar to the ones I already own, and hoped for the best. The cashier surely wasn't friendly when she rang up my purchase, which is the case with most Big 5's. Big 5's are a lower end discounted sporting goods store with a self serve vibe. When you shop here you know what you're getting or you should.

I had phone conversations and documented in emails that I would like to purchase the additional 36-month warranty. I even noted this on my credit card receipt with my signature agreeing to pay the extra fee. This past week (2/26/21), I noted my lift motor is no longer working. When I contacted Fitness Equipment Source and spoke to Mark Clayton, I received the response that they do not offer 36-month warranties but only 24 months. So devil's advocate, even if I only purchased 24 months extra, this would still mean that it should be under warranty until 4/6/21. This company seems to fall under buyer beware!! USE DISCRETION when purchasing with them!!! I will be reporting this to the BBB.

I have emails from him stating each item he would refund and is hasn't, period. Funny he posted a email where I argreed he owed $2900.00 but he failed to point out that it was for a single item, not the remaining balance. This is what I have been putting up with for 3 months, he picks and choices what he will honor. I'm not looking to convince anyone, only warn you. I am currently filing a law suit to get my remaining funds and talking to the Salt Lake City Police Department about fraud charges against Mr. Mark. You guys can make your own choices, that's what's so great about this country. But when you run across a guy like this it's your duty to report it and hopefully keep others from getting burned. First piece of advice, DON'T pay for everything up front. Pay half down and half when you get everything you ordered. And yes, email all talks so everyone is on the same page. Doesn't always work because I have Mark agreeing to pay the $15k in numerous emails but I guess he doesn't feel obligated to his word. Good luck anyone that deals with this dude.

When we go to the checkout line I told my girls they could each pick out a ball from the small bin of balls. I then bent down to look at something on a shelf. I heard an associate very rudely tell my girls that the balls needed to go back in the bin. Not knowing what to say they started to apologize and the associate repeated "balls in bin!" My girls did as requested and walked over to me. I found it extremely rude and unprofessional that the only interaction we had with any one of service was someone scolding my daughters for holding balls that I said I would buy them ‍. The store was nearly empty and I can understand why. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend doing any business with this store, unless you want to have your kids leave crying. .

I chose 1 year but you can choose from a good variety of options up to three years! 5 star experience... While I walked about I was asked by a floor monitor if they could assist me with anything... I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.
