Ricky is amazing! I'll explain how this happened. I train consistently with the 'bells' (kbs, barbell and dumbbells). One day, I was putting my weights away and I tweaked something in my shoulder blade. I had a nagging pain for about 2 weeks. I was at critical mass - had to do something. This past Friday, I contacted Ricky (solely based upon yelp reviews) in the morning to see if I could schedule a same day appointment. I was able to text him (which was great) because skillful massage therapists are always busy working. So, it can be challenging to get an answer immediately. I understand this dilemma well. Thankfully, Ricky had something at 630pm. I scheduled a 30 mins half table session. Let me tell you, in less than 2 minutes, he found the spot that was aggravated - I immediately asked for an hour. He obliged as he didn't have an appointment right after me. Thank goodness!!! He did a deep tissue massage and my muscles were sore thereafter. However, it was definitely what I needed - skilled and focused attention. I will definitely return over and over again! Again, I train hard and work full-time. Let me say Ricky is a very pleasant person and is quite good at deep tissue massage as well as upper back and neck. My wife and I have used him a few times. The reason for only 3 stars is because Ricky is not good at returning text and phone calls. We had a massage appointment set with him to come to our house on Dec 1st at 6pm for 2 massages. We set the appointment on Nov 4th while he was finishing up our massage. I text him on Nov 6h making sure he put the appointment on his calendar. On Nov 10th he text me back says he did, set for 7 and 8pm. On Dec1st I text him at 7:00 asking if he was on his way. At 9:30pm he text back that he didn't realize today was Dec 1st. Really Ricky? Then tells me he was having car problems. He did make up for it by coming over at short notice to give my wife a massage on Dec 3rd. Though an hour massage was cut to 35 minutes because he had another appointment. I was understanding. Issue is my wife has severe lower back pain and Ricky only spent maybe 5 minutes working on her lower back. He kept going back to her upper back and shoulders and neck. She told him 4 times it is her lower back causing her pain. We made 2 appointments for Dec 8th at 6 and 7pm while he was here. On Dec 8th I text him at 11:30am making sure our appointments were still on. My wife called him at 4:00p.m because we still had not got confirmation from him. Call went to voicemail. At 6:43pm he text back says yes, just getting a bite to eat and will be over. I cancelled our appointments as we made other plans since we had not heard back from him. Ricky is a great massage therapist! I've been to many massage therapists over the years and he gave me one of the massages I have ever had.
