This was the SLOWEST service I have ever received! I had an appointment for a tire replacement and it took four hours. On the invoice it showed all tires were checked. I get home and notice a bald spot on the rear tire and take my care back. All four tires needed replaced but no one checked them!!! It took two full days for four tires to get changed. I've purchased about 30 or more new cars in my life. Stopped by here and met with David - one of their sales associates. Test drove a Gladiator but decided it wasn't the vehicle for our home. I have never had such a great experience as I did in meeting with David. He was so helpful and wanting to find us a vehicle that better met our needs. I brought my Jeep in for service today - oil change. I had a 7:45 appointment, but arrived about 7:35. I was taken right in, very friendly staff, and my Jeep was ready at 8:10. This is my first service on my Jeep, I previously had a Ford. Service at the Ford dealer took a minimum of 2 hours - with an appointment - every single time. Horrible Service & Parts Department. I've had multiple issues with this dealership's service and parts teams. 1. Took hours before even looking at my Jeep despite having the first appointment of the day. 2. Mechanics set their tools and coffee mugs/water bottles on my Jeep's paint 3. Mechanics left a nasty oily rag sitting in my child's car seat and greasy handprints both inside and outside of the vehicle. 4. Mechanics failed to reattach my hardtop using the bolts following warranty work, forcing me to make emergency roadside repairs after leaving the dealership. 5. Bringing the Jeep in for scheduled maintenance work just to find out that the service department and parts department failed to coordinate, resulting in a 2-hour round trip for nothing because, despite what I was told when setting up the appointment, the required parts were not on hand. My visit here was painless! My Jeep is my baby so I drove way out of the way to try this place even though I live 5 mins from a different dealership. Loved the video inspection. I also loved being able to see the garage from the waiting area. Friendly and knowledgeable people. I got there 730am and was driving away about an hour later (just needed a tire rotation and multi point inspection). Will definitely come back here for future services. read more

Charged $451.00 for a new battery after my 2016 Renegade was towed in after hurricane Milton. You make your own decision. Apparently battery connected to entire electric system and Jeep has the code. Only Jeep can change a battery thus the cost. So, add $2,000 to the cost of Renegade at time of purchase for replacement batteries. Or maybe the dealership just plain ripped me off. read more

Why 5 Stars? While I haven't purchased a vehicle from Fitzgerald's Countryside Chrysler Jeep (yet!), but their service department is awesome. I moved to FL about 2 years ago and have owner Chrysler / Jeep products as long as I can remember, except that one time I owned a Chevy S10...but we won't talk about that (Chrysler Family...From Detroit). I was looking for a local owned / Family Owner Operator Dealership for I think you get more personal service than the Corp owned places. I now have been bringing in my wife's Town and Country and my Wrangler in for routine service, recalls and even some serious stuff over the past couple years and they do not skip a beat. From their greater guy who takes your keys, the service writers (Bill,etc) to even the tech who answers all my motorhead questions I have (Thanks Tommy!) they are really good. I would recommend making an appointment even for stuff like Oil Changes, etc. Since they are a smaller dealership, sometimes they have a hard time accommodating at the last second of the day for procrastinators like me the day before a road trip. Not a fault of them at all though! Also, if you do make an appointment, make sure you make it a morning one. The Sales guys always have donuts in the morning and the coffee machine is pretty good too. Thanks sales team! The interactions I have had with the Sales team when I have been in for service have always been professional and friendly. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at Fitzgerald Clearwater Chrysler Dodge Jeep, located at 28253 US Highway 19 N, Clearwater, FL 33761. On August 28, 2023, I visited your dealership with the intention of purchasing a car for my teenage driver. I pulled us in my new Nissan Armada and workout clothes. I had previously purchased a Jeep from your dealership and wanted to keep my loyalty to you as I was shown great service in the past. I was greeted by a salesperson named Dave, who I informed that I was looking to spend $45,000.00 on a car. I was eager to make a deal, as I had the day off from work. I told Dave that I was prepared to pay the dealership $45,000. However, Dave informed me that he was unable to assist me and that there were no cars on the lot that met my price point. I said, I see a few. Still no offer for the keys to open a car. I inquired about financing to compare rates between a new car and a used car, but Dave did not offer to get the keys to any of the cars or even open the doors, stating that they were locked. He again informed me that there were no cars on the lot that met my price point. I am disappointed that a returning customer was allowed to leave your dealership with a check in hand and not even be offered to open the door of a car. I am also disappointed that Dave was unable to provide me with any information about financing options. I expected more from Fitzgerald Clearwater Chrysler Dodge Jeep. About a month ago I took my 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trail hawk in because I had a service 4WD light pop up on my dashboard. the car was driving fine but I wanted to get the light addressed. when I dropped it off I told them there was an occasional knocking sound I would hear when turning my wheel as well. my husband received a call with over 12k worth of repairs that needed done. the service 4WD light was due to a bad PTU. we were quoted 3400.00 for this. We asked to verify it wasn't under warranty. we were told our vin number was not under warranty. i did some research and was being told it is under warranty. My husband asked them a total of 4X to verify it wasn't under warranty and we were told NO IT WAS NOT! "Your year was not covered under warranty" it indeed was under warranty and Dayton Andrews replaced it within days with no cost to us. they also did not mention any thing else was wrong with the vehicle after they did the diagnostic. Fitzgerald also quoted us $7200.00 for a steering gear. From my research this is $600-800. when i asked why the cost was so high i was told it would actually be higher than $7,200.00 due to shop supplies that weren't included in that quote. We were also quoted $1700.00 for the left CV axle. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO PAY IN ADVANCE!! (although the PTU was on back order with no expected arrival date-Dayton had one but if they didn't have that they were on back order until at least September) never in my life have i been told i need to pay in advance at a Mechanic shop. When my husband called back to inform them that the PTU was covered under warranty they were apologetic and offered to refund the diagnostic fee. they can keep it. id rather spend $300 to know i will never take my car back to these criminals again. i would advise anyone to stay away from this place OR at the very least always get a second opinion. Another frustrating thing-when i went to pick my car up i was given the wrong keys and my car had been sitting in the parking lot unattended and unlocked. read more

We have not felt welcomed or comfortable in this particular location (After our purchased). Every time I brought my Jeep in, I was confronted with an attitude and a sky high bill. It really is a shame because when we first bought our Jeep, we were treated so well. I guess when you start having maintenance issues, the "real" personality comes through. I really don't know where to start. I took in my 2014 Jeep Wrangler (52k miles) a couple of days ago because it was not shifting properly. I waited while they test drove it. They came back with a quote of $3000 for a new clutch. On the list was a couple of other "related" items like a new flywheel. I decided to get a second opinion, so told them I would be picking my Jeep up, and not to do any work. I had to pick it up after normal service hours, so the keys were in the sales department. When I picked up the Jeep, the guy in the sales department was flat out rude. I asked the person with me if I was just imagining it, and he said no, they were very rude. I just received a call from where I have taken my Jeep to for the second opinion. Flywheel is perfectly fine (that was $642 + labor at the dealership!). So I would have paid close to $1000 for a flywheel that I did not need what so ever. On top of it, my total cost is now $1000, instead of the $3000 quoted by the dealership. Beware, they may want to add items to your service bill you definitely do not need. I will never go back here again. read more

Well, at first I thought this place was great...than I came back in to buy the Jeep that I was looking at and it was a whole new story. Tthe sales guy was trying to guilt me in to buying a different jeep with less options for more money. I noticed the Jeep I wanted was no longer on their websites inventory list, but the day before I was coming in to buy it I asked the sales guy if it was still there and he said yes. When I arrived the next day, he told me they sold it the night before, but he found one similar to that one that he can get from another dealer. So I take a look at the specs on the Jeep and see that it has fewer things than the one that I wanted and was a higher price. So I try to negotiate a little, but they tell me they can't go below invoice on it and they can add in the other stuff I want, but of course I have to pay for that too and the price just keeps going up. When I told the sales person I had to think about it, he seemed to get a little annoyed and after a couple of minutes was like..."ok you thought about, let's do the deal" I said to him that thinking about it meant I would get back to him on it. He then said that I didn't appreciate everything he was doing for me to find the one he found and how he looked all over within a 300 mile radius. I told him that I did appreciate it and he said no you don't or you would buy this one. I said I appreciate it on a personal level, but financially it didn't make sense to now pay more for less. He tried to tell me that it would only be like $6 more a month over a 6 yr loan. Then the GM came over and was saying how they couldn't go lower or he would lose money. So I said well, you would only be losing $6 a month if they spread that loss over 6yr, like the sales person told me. I could see the sales guy getting mad and his face was getting red. I said to him well if this one doesn't work and according to him "supply was very limited" that I might as well just wait until the 2014s come out and he did not like that at all. I actually thought he was just going to get up and walk away without even shaking my hand when I told I will have to go home and think some more on it. Bad move since I was going to buy the 2014 from him once they were accepting orders. Oh well, his loss. My wife even thought that the sale guy was very unprofessional. Anyway, when I got back home and got on the jeep website I found the exact jeep that I wanted (the one the sales guy said wasn't available within 300 miles) only 102 miles away and then I found 3 more 149 miles away. I guess he wasn't looking as hard for me as he made it sound. In the end everything worked out and I got the exact jeep I wanted for less money from a different deal. Very long story shortened, the fantastic service department went above and beyond to help me with the warranty of my battery (I bought it at another Jeep dealership). They called the other place and had the info sent over and were extremely nice to me through out the whole ordeal. Changed the battery under warranty even though it wasn't bought directly through them. Amazing customer service. Would give 10 stars if I could. I truly appreciated their help! read more

Terrible customer service. My jeep needed a whole new brake system after 5 months of driving. I only put 6000 miles on the vehicle. The rotors, calipers, brake pads and struts all needed to be replaced! I called dealership and talked to a rude fitz staff who kept bouncing me around to different employees making me explain my story over and over. Fitzgerald stands by the so called double check used vehicles before they sell them. If they double check why do all these items need to be replaced after only 5 months of HIGHWAY DRIVING! NO INNER CITY DRIVING! I advise people to stay away from this dealership because of their rude service and not standing behind their company policies. This company is ridiculous. I went to the dealership to look at a Lexus Jeep on a Thursday evening. Spiros ended up being the salesman who helped me - I was ready for a pushy, dishonest salesperson, but Spiros was a Lexus owner himself and a wealth of information. He suggested I take a test drive and feel the car out, now I'm more of a sedan person so it was a little jarring driving a bigger car, especially when it's just for me - but the pricing was right on. So I drove it and wanted to think about it. Closed on a condo that Friday and came back Saturday am to look at the Lexus sedan and the SUV. I test drive both and ended up buying the SUV, it's a great car - Spiros even helped me shop for insurance, he never rushed me but allowed me come to my decision naturally. I told him I needed to drop off my rental at the airport and he offered to pick me up - while some places offer they on their listing and don't honor it, Fitz auto mall didn't even advertise it bot are so good natured that they did it, without hesitation. Also, the GM at the front desk would always say hi when I came in and that felt, natural and friendly, never forced. Also I stopped by the weekend after my purchase and Spiros helped me find the USB port and again the GM said hello and asked how was the car. This place feels like an honest dealership, nothing but praise for them!! read more

Can't say enough great things about this place. On vacation and my engine light comes on in my 2012 Grand Cherokee. I called and they tell me to bring it in immediately. They pull the code, hook up to the computer and update the software. 15 minutes later they tell me it appears to be a glitch and to call if it happens again. I have purchased 3 vehicles at Fitzgerald and had great experience, but can't say the same for service at the Chrysler Jeep. I lost wheel key for my Ram and needed the old lugs removed so I could replace them. I called Dayton Andrews and they said come in and they'd see if they could match the key, I arrived and they saw me immediately but were unable to match the key, in and out 5 minutes. I tried Fitzgerald next, they checked to make sure they had the lugs which they did, then sent me to service. At least a one hour wait just to find out if they could remove the lugs, with possibility that I would wait and still not be able to fix the problem. No thanks. Next I tried Suncoast Jeep, again they got me in immediately to see if they could remove the lugs, this time was successful, in and out in 30 minutes with new locking lugs. Great people! I brought my 2010 Jeep Wrangler in for service here in April 2014 - simple oil change and tire rotation. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I ended up encountering some wheel imbalance issues a week later when I drove it above 60MPH... I imediatley brought it back and they were able to figure out the issue was the fact the the tires where not rotated freqently enough from prior years when I lived up in New England. They balanced the tires for free and rotated them back which helped a good deal. Jaimee was very helpful and made a follow up call to ensure I was satisfied. Clean neat dealership, I will definitely use them again! Lesson learned with Jeeps: rotate the tires on every oil change with out fail! read more
