    Empty coolant container

I recently purchased a 22 Rogue Sport in late January and have only driven it a few times. Unfortunately, my car started overheating, and I managed to shut it down before it blew the engine. I took it to Kraft Nissan, as I'm a college student at Florida State University. They informed me that the selling dealer had left oil residue on the engine and damaged the coolant hoses, which are swollen and leaking. They've attempted to contact Lokey Nissan to resolve the issue, but they're evasive and unwilling to take responsibility, despite clear videos showing the oil mess and other damage. I can't link the video to the review but have it. I don't have the additional $1,400 to cover Lokey Nissan's mistake. This situation is unfair and reflects the poor quality of service provided by Lokey Nissan.

Wonder if Paul Lokey ever hears about the complaints from his Nissan dealership because his GM doesn't care nor respond. Hearing "I'm sorry" from service advisors doesn't fix problems. Here's a copy of my email from a week ago. Dear Mr. Alatorre, This is not the first or second or fifth times I have experienced sloppy maintenance work by your mechanics and I don't expect, nor want empty apologies. I just felt it necessary to vent about this. I bought my Altima new from Lokey in 2016. The only positive thing I can say is the life time free oil changes are appreciated but that's about it. There have been so many times that I have picked up my car after a service or oil change only to find something wasn't done properly after getting home. These things may seem minor but it shows a pattern of sloppy work by technicians who are not paying attention to detail. For instance, missing tire valve caps after a service when all four were there before bringing in my car, or when all the original chrome caps were removed after a new tire install and replaced with rubber ones when there was nothing wrong the nice chrome caps that were originally on the car, and of course nobody bothered to mention this to me. The time I came home and told my husband something is rattling under my hood and found the air box cover was just laying over the filter, not snapped on, just bouncing around under my hood. I could go on about all these little things over the past 10 years but it's useless. I have complained on occasion to a service advisor who of course apologizes but it's just a matter of time before it happens again. The worst experience was back when the headlights were recalled due to a defect causing the bulbs to be so dim I couldn't see at night. I got different explanations from several different advisors over a period of time which I feel wasted time in addressing the matter. After finally receiving a notice in the mail, I sent in my portion of the recall card to the class action attorney who was handling the replacements and after many calls and emails between your dealership and the attorney's office, to find out why I hadn't heard anything I was told they had no record of ever receiving my card therefore I never got a replacement. I guess it was conveniently lost in the mail. Nobody at Lokey seemed to give a rat's behind, so I got screwed on that and my husband spent the money replacing my headlights and covers so I could actually see at night to drive. That is when I lost all respect for Lokey Nissan and I knew that my next car would not be a Nissan. So here we are on my last visit on Friday, March 27th, I dropped off my car for an oil change and multipoint inspection. My car has never leaked oil onto the ground, and is sitting in a newly poured driveway, so when my husband went outside the next day, he found a puddle of oil sitting under the car. Finding this oil right after my oil change immediately made me suspicious so I asked him to check it out and take pictures. He found the nut on the oil pan finger loose, barely holding on which allowed the oil to drip out. He gave it 4 or 5 turns until it was properly tightened. Now imagine that this wasn't discovered until my oil was gone and my engine was blown. Would Lokey admit to this error and replace my engine? OF COURSE NOT. Upon further inspection as you can see in the picture where my husband is pointing, there is one zip tie and nothing else holding the cover over the oil filter which they would have had to remove in order to replace the filter. Just another rush, sloppy job. So needless to say, the expensive repairs that were suggested on my multipoint inspection will be verified and performed by a respected private auto shop rather than Lokey, I just don't trust you anymore. Might I mention they didn't even reset my check oil light which went on indicating I needed an oil change. I didn't notice until my drive home so of course my husband had to do that as well. Please don't bother asking me to call you to discuss like I was told during the headlight ordeal; it's a waste of time. I'll be shopping for a new car this fall. Regards, Robyn Kantelis

I DO NOT understand why people leaving bad reviews there. I bought a car and most of the things were online. Came to dealer ship knew what I wanted and got a deal! That guy DAVID just incredible. I had a few things that I DID NOT CHECK and I sent him a text and you know what, they gave me answers and resolved my problems. I respect that. Maybe some people who are unhappy need to learn communication and know how to approach without an attitude. Mistakes are happening no one is perfect and what matters the most how much effort being put into resolving my problems that I didn't check. I appreciate your business and will work with David again when the time comes for a newer vehicle. Thank you!

I wish I would have come here sooner because my experience beginning to end was amazing. Anibal showed me the CHR, which was in truly pristine condition. I couldn't find a scratch or dent anywhere, unlike other CHRs I'd seen with some obvious wear / imperfections at other dealers. The tires were new and the battery was new / recently put in. The test drive went great, the car drove beautifully and it was actually a fun ride. Anibal was great to work with! I was up front with Anibal about the price point I needed, and he was up front with me about what he's capable of doing. I think he was quite reasonable in what he offered, so I happily bought the car right then and there! The purchase went quickly. I dropped off my current vehicle at home and took an Uber back to the dealership, during that time Anibal had the car cleaned again just to make sure it was perfect! The entire experience was great. I don't have a single comment or complaint. Anibal was honest and up front about what's possible and even helped me with the buying process because it was a little unfamiliar to me. I've heard great things about Fitzgerald Subaru and now I see why! A friend of mine leases their car through them exclusively, and another friend bought their pre-owned Jeep from them a few weeks ago. As someone who has been to several dealerships between Tampa & Clearwater, I can say this dealership was a breath of fresh air. Anibal was seriously great to work with, I cannot say it enough. He is what made the experience great, and the car has been a dream to have. I've had no issues since my purchase, the car is perfect. Fitzgerald Subaru, I hope you know how great Anibal is! Anibal, thank you again for everything!

As a former employee in the automotive industry, I have really high expectations from dealers. Our entire experience at Lexus of Clearwater was OUTSTANDING! It really exceeded our expectations. We have purchased many other luxury brands, such as BMW, Audi, and Acura, and have never had a comparable experience. This was our first Lexus purchase, and we are very impressed with the VIP treatment received. Sean Moore, Sales Consultant, was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Sean made us feel comfortable through the process. He really went the extra mile at delivery to ensure that Lexus Enform was activated and took the time to go over additional features and controls. Tyler Newman, Sales Manager, provided excellent customer service throughout the process. Renee Miley, Finance Manager, was pleasant and personable. She took the time to explain all of the financing options -lease v purchase and went above and beyond to ensure that we got the best rate available. I purchased all of the warranties for this vehicle as well (a lot of money) then I went ahead and because of the wholehearted kind person I am I show love. I went ahead and recommended LEXUS OF CLEARWATER to my brother in law and sister and rest of my family. THEY WENT AHEAD LISTENED TO ME WENT AHEAD AND PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2023 RX350. Then went back and purchased a 2026 LX. So I purchased 2 BRAND NEW VEHICLES from LEXUS OF CLEARWATER. WENT AHEAD AND SUPPORTED THEM WITH BUSINESS AND NEW CUSTOMERS.... SHOWED NOTHING BUT LOVE TO LEXUS. Slowly found out my warranties are not good for nothing so they charge you for things that don't hold no value to you or benefit you in any shape way or form. For example purchased the TIRE AND WHEEL PROTECTION got curb rash and a flat went in to get help and got told I wasn't covered .... SO IM PAYING LEXUS OF CLEARWATER ALL THIS MONEY FOR WARRANTIES ONLY TO BE TOLD MY WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER MY VEHICLE... upon purchasing this vehicle ANTHONY THE SALES MANAGER OR ONE OF THEM STATED ANYTHING HAPPENS TO MY VEHICLE TO BRING IT BACK AND THEY WILL YAKE CARE OF ME.... Complete lie. Lied to my face with that one. Go in for help and get disrespected in return... now I'm finding out my vehicle is not covered for repairs .... So I'm paying Lexus THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Now Lexus wants to tell me I can't go back because apparently I'm asking for too much when I need my car worked on. THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM SOLD ME FALSE HOPES AND PROMISES. THEY LIED AND DECEIVED ME THEY ARE STEALING MY MONEY AND THEN DENYING ME MY WARRANTY. LESSON LEARNED, SHOWED NOTHING BUT LOVE AND RECEIVING NOTHING BUT DISRESPECT IN RETURN AFTER SUPPORTING THEM AND BRINGING NOTHING BUT MONEY INTO THEIR BUSINESS... WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK AND DOING ANY KIND OF BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO DO THEIR RESEARCH AND READ THIS REVIEW. So sad cause I wanted purchase another vehicle for my pops as well as my sister who needs a car... but now I will have to choose another dealership to do business with... really thought Lexus was better than this and would of thought the customer service would of been better. DONT LIE AND DECIEVE YOUR CUSTOMERS WHO SPEND THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY IN YOUR DEALERSHIP ON YOUR VEHICLES WITH THE INTENTION OF JUST SCREWING THEM OVER. It's is really disrespectful to the people who actually want to do business with Lexus and want peace of mind not to end up writing reviews such as this and feeling like Lexus never really cared about them just wanted to steal their money and then deny them service. Especially when they are paying an absurd amount of money for their vehicles and expecting it to be well taken cared of by the company they did honest business with or at least THOUGHT THEY DID HONEST BUSINESS WITH .. really disappointed in LEXUS OF CLEARWATER. Did so much for them only for them to say screw me so easily as if my support and business meant absolutely nothing. Thanks Lexus of Clearwater...

After several days of phone calls and emails encouraging me to come in, the dealership prepared a written proposal for a new 2026 Hyundai Elantra SE with my 2012 Elantra Touring in trade. The agreed out-the-door price was $19,993.46, and my wife and I came to the dealership on July 4 fully intending to complete the purchase. After spending considerable time completing paperwork, the deal was stopped at the last minute because the illumination for my odometer display had become intermittent. The odometer itself still records mileage correctly (approximately 51,500 miles), but because the display was not illuminated at that moment, I was told the dealership could not verify the mileage electronically and therefore could not accept the trade. I was even told that, for all they knew, the car could actually have 150,000 miles. Since then, I have spoken with Hyundai technicians at other dealerships, as well as members of Fitzgerald's own service department. All advised that vehicle mileage can generally be retrieved electronically using Hyundai's diagnostic equipment, depending on the vehicle, and Fitzgerald's service department even invited me to bring the car in for that purpose. What disappointed me wasn't simply that a problem arose. It was that after aggressively pursuing my business and preparing a complete purchase proposal, the dealership showed little interest in exploring a reasonable solution before canceling the transaction. I later purchased the same 2026 Elantra SE from Hyundai of New Port Richey for $19,499.80 out the door--nearly $500 less than Fitzgerald's proposal--and the odometer issue was not treated as an obstacle. I also wrote to Fitzgerald's General Manager describing my experience and asking whether the dealership wished to revisit the transaction. I received no response. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend Fitzgerald Hyundai.
