Thiefs... They called us to do work for them (on one of their customer's units) since they were "super busy" -then scammed us and didn't pay their bill to us. All of the bad reviews are true. Do not take your equipment to them, they are a bad business, they don't pay their bills, they ignore phone calls, and they even lied right to my face. We bought a new to us trailer and found an issue with the converter eventually determining it was missing. It is a fairly simple job to replace it I called 5 bears to find a replacement with the understanding that we were replacing the lead acid battery with LifePo. I called several times and described the issue and was told they would talk to service and get back to me. They did not. If they aren't going to say something simple like we don't have time to help you why should you think they will tell you what you need to hear if you do get your trailer in to be serviced? read more

I have never been so appalled by how the "owner" speaks to his employees. Yelling, cussing, degrading the young man who was in the shop. After hearing other people getting taken advantage of, insurance claims being over inflated (fraud), and the lack of respect and integrity to the customer and employees..... I cannot begin to recommend this place.... Stay clear. read more

So glad we found this place. Before, we took our camper to Camping World which was a big mistake. It took them forever to do repairs, and did shoddy work. When driving, we found 5 Bears very close to our house and we are so glad. They are a small company and my only complaint is that it sometimes takes a while to get a call back. But I think that may be because there is only 1 person in the office at one time. But that's not such a big deal to me. They are quick, reasonably priced and honest. I've never gotten such fast service at an RV repair place, even during off season. I asked them to take a look at a faulty sensor last minute. They did, and only charged me a fraction of an hour service. I know other places would probably charge a full hour labor minimum. I think they are honest and knowledgeable and do great work. We will definitely be going back for future work. read more

This is one of the worst run businesses. I have ever dealt with. The place is dirty as hell and the customer service sucks. They wouldn't return a phone calls and never finished the needed service. a zero is better rating. My classic 2005 VW Rialta winneb was transported to Five Bears RV Services at the request of State Farm for a covered loss, damaged carpet and floor estimate and repairs. Instead Mandy Wayeshe ransacked the rig, stole items, damaged the in dash navigational unit, sink cover Et al. Five Bears chop shopped near $15000 of equipment off the roof then parked the rig in the corner of their lot under weed trees, near a rivers edge, and blocked it in with damaged rusted travel trailers and diesel pushers in order to hide it. Mandy Wayeshe, aka as Amanda Wayeshe and her brother Frank Wayeshe then refused to let me have my RV and claimed I owed storage and estimate fees. They sent photographs of another customers damaged undercarriage to State Farm and told them I never 'undercoated' the rig, They told Kendall County Sheriff that I abandoned the RV and was homeless. To get my Rialta, not a total loss ( it was a $150 job) I had to pay the storage fees (State farm paid the estimate fee, but denied a valid claim they already bought). Mandy/Amanda Wayeshe and Frank Wayeshe are cons. I will be suing them shortly but know they have conned others. Read reviews on BBB. read more

Avoid! Dishonest business to deal with! Would give 0 stars if possible. We had a tree branch come through our RV roof around Oct. 28th 2022 per insurance I called around to get some quotes. I spoke with 5 bears and was told they could schedule a time to give me an estimate... At NO time was an estimate cost spoken of, and I was actually told "no problem if I did not go with them as they didn't currently have the space to service my RV and were in transition of procuring another facility". A couple days later I received a call that their guys could swing by on the way home from another job and take a look, they were here for 10 mins took a couple pics and said I would hear back. A month had passed now and on Dec. 2nd 2022 I received a quote from a competing RV shop, a couple hours later I also received 5 bears quote (a month later & $3k more). A day later I went with the other shop (other shop did my camper est. on Nov 28 2022) . A month later Jan. I receive a text message saying I owe them $115 for an estimate because I went with someone else? I stated my case that no fee was given at our first phone call, when the guys came, etc. and had there been I would NOT have had them out to give me an estimate! They stated they told me there was which is a complete lie but I did not record phone conversation to back it up. Today 12/26/23 I receive collections notice that 5 bears had sent me to collections for $150!! I would have no choice but pay it or have it tarnish my record, attempts to correct with 5 bears were futile. The way they handled this was extremely disappointing and we felt taken advantage of. I would not recommend them on any level and recommend getting everything in writing before dealing with them! read more
