If it's not in store, ask if they can order it (lots of Melissa and Doug, creative play, sensory toys etc.) If you need sewing accessories (fabric, thread, knitting supplies, more stuff I'm forgetting, some machines) check here first, if they don't have it, ask if they can order it. If you need clothing altered, talk to Pamela! She does all sorts of alterations, and is very reasonably priced. She's hemmed several pants for me. Also the toys/clothing etc. for kids are competitively priced. Found it cheaper online? Ask if they can match the price, and also remember if you have a problem with an item, a question, etc., having a store to go to is incredible. No ai chat bots, just people who know from real experience. You can never beat that. Now the story side. I started coming here when my son was born 4 years ago. That's what me got in the door, needing early development toys and books etc. I never imagined I would get to watch the store grow to carry fabric and sewing accessories too, but it made sense because Pamela does clothing alterations. The entire staff has been so welcoming, informative, and thoughtful, it keeps me coming back for whatever I may need. You can't beat community. Going into a kids toy store where the people KNOW your kid, what you already have from them, how you could expand on that. Incredible. The other thing that I love is they only seem to carry the quality stuff. No one and done junk toys, but good stuff from good brands, like Melissa and Doug, while also having some funky and fun new stuff. That's my review! I could type all day about how cool this store is, but just go see for yourself. Bring your kid, go alone, WHATEVER! Enjoy it. We're lucky to have them in Vacaville.

Met Kevin, the Owner, who's been in business since the heyday of collecting in the 80's. He was extremely helpful, friendly, and didn't mind taking time to answer questions, which I had plenty of since the collecting industry had changed so much since I stopped. Over the next 3 years I bought numerous hobby products from Kevin. When COVID hit in 2020, the industry went crazy and caused prices to skyrocket. Kevin remained true and offered prices well below what he could of asked for at the time. I asked him about it and he told me he'd seen numerous highs and lows in the industry, and he wanted to take care of his loyal customers who would always come back. I have a great deal of respect for Kevin, and while I have stopped collecting new cards (I just purchase vintage), I still stop by from time-to-time to say hello. He no longer sells sports cards because the distributors got too greedy, and he didn't want to pass those excessive costs to his customers. He still sells comics though, and he is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with anyone who stops by. It's a small shop and if he doesn't have something you're looking for, he has years of connections and will either find a way to get it or point you in the right direction. If you're in the area, stop on by and take a look. You'll feel welcomed and want to come back. Not enough places like this anymore.

Out of all the OUAC's I've shopped and sold at, this is the absolute worst…read more I've gone there 5x and not once successfully sold. They don't have a computer system and are writing things down on slips of paper, only to lose them. They don't take your contact information, no text system, nothing. It's like this one single Once Upon a Child is stuck in 1980, while all the others in the area are 2026. I've called ahead to make sure they have a selling spot available before I drive 40 minutes there - They said yes, but I couldn't reserve a spot, so it got filled by the time I arrived. I've come close to opening - it would be a wait until 6-7PM with no guarantees it would even be done the same day. I came in once and said I had only 4 hours in the area, asking if it was possible, and they said yes. One small bin of 10-12 clothing pieces and a diaper pail. Took my stuff and info and told me to come back at 1pm. By the way - the person selling before me? Didn't ask for his ID, even though he was selling for the first time. Me? Asked for my ID and wrote it down on a slip of paper (i.e. my personal identifying information just sitting around for anyone, not secured in any way). I came back at 1PM as requested (actually, 1:20 to give them more time) and my stuff was sitting in the exact same place as when I dropped it. They looked at each other, confused, and just said, uh, well... we didn't do it. That was it. No offer of a different time, nothing. I just laughed, took my stuff and left. Unlike some other stores, they don't give you 24h to collect your payout/items - it has to be that same day, no matter how late they finish going through your items. I guess this place would be fine to sell to if you didn't have a job or any other commitments, or maybe if you lived like 3 blocks away so you could just hang out and wait for them all day/night.

I'd grabbed a drink from the cooler but when we got back to the car it had already been opened so I ended up having to toss it.
