My wife and I have eaten there twice in the last week. Together we've had the Patty melt, the BLT and the Jr Cheeseburger with fries. The food is very good; prices are a little higher than we are accustomed (we live on the west coast and our baseline is Carl Jr.) The BLT was exceptional and had a lot of bacon pieces . The fries were hot and crisp on one visit and not so much on the other. The patty melt was exceptional but greasy, so extra napkins are needed. read more

I'm disappointed as Five Guys used to be something unique. Now with Elevation, Fuddruckers, and Smash along with a rapid rate of franchise locations, it's lost something special. I find them overrated and far too expensive. It's a cinch to use a grill, and the same ingredients for a hamburger. I'm not saying it's the worst, but I'm flat out bored here. Here's to them adding new drinks or something else, to regain its identity. The brown greasy bag has been consistent. It's a guess but seems less fries. I understand inflation is affecting restaurants especially, but this no longer is the excellent value it used to be. All of the employees are efficient and kind. Also the location is clean, which is a big deal. If you want to spend extra for a burger and fries, this is at least what it claims to be. As for the "ambiance," it's the same red and white tiles you find everywhere from Dairy Queen to the local pizza joint. I'm a huge Five Guys fan - their burger patties are always so juicy and full of flavor, and, they have a plethora of toppings that you can add with no extra charge. My go-to is the Little Bacon Cheeseburger with extra bacon, with raw and sauteed onions, mayo, jalapenos, and extra pickles. My husband gets the hamburger with the cajun fries. Did you know that if you get the Bacon Cheeseburger, you can request extra bacon and extra cheese at no charge?! The place is small, with a few tables, as most orders are to-go. Why the one star??? Please let me explain. Their food is awesome! Even more confused? Keep reading. I placed my order with their app. That went well. I selected curbside. Gave the description of my car. Great.....or so I thought. They give instructions to call their number when you arrive and are outside the building. So I arrive and call the number. It rings..... And rings... And rings and finally hangs up. I try again. Same thing. By this time I see two other cars had pulled up. All trying their phones without success. We all come in at the same time to pick up our orders. All had the same phone problem. We all let them know the issue. Someone goes to check the phone...and guess what? ITS UNPLUGGED! Good grief, that's how they solve problems, just ignore them? Oh heck no. I put an extra tip on my order for those who were going to bring it out. Now I am just out that money. BE WARNED, IF YOU SELECT CAR SIDE DELIVERY, SAVE THE TIP AS CASH, IN CASE THEIR PHONE IS UNPLUGGED AGAIN. It's amazing how one idiot can ruin a persons experience when the other workers were working so hard. Where was management? Just a fluke that NOBODY wanted curbside pickup and their phone never rings? Please remember there is another Five Guys to try just 2 miles down Rte 1 if you have a failure at this one. Five Guys is actually one of my fantasies but don't tell anyone. However the food version of Five Guys doesn't do it for me at all. Massively overrated. I give them a 2 instead of a 1 only because my shake was really good this last time I was there. But let's focus on all the other visits, when I got a burger. The good: They're not the worst burgers and fries in the world and this location has decent service, really good sometimes. They thrilled my college roommate that would drag me here almost weekly. The bad: They're overpriced for fast food, you end up paying quite a bit more than at other fast food burger places. They're enormously overrated. Their shakes aren't really that good (but better at this location for some reason). Their burgers taste absolutely bland and I can't believe they're anything that anyone raves about. So it averages out to 2 stars for this location despite it being better than some of the others, such as the Fairfax one and Buffalo ones. If they rename to 10 Guys maybe it'll be better for the food, or maybe more cooks will spoil the broth. 10 Guys sounds so much more fun. read more

Delicious, however for some reason their app isn't working to order online and that's annoying. I called in twice (once I hung up because the phone was laid down and I had already waited several minutes) the second time I had my order placed and when my husband got home the burgers were cold and the cheese hadn't even been melted. I really do love this FiveGuys location. They are super clean, respectful, helpful, and just all around great! Oh that and it's next to my crib lol. FiveGuys is a bit expensive but whatever it beats a nasty ass FastFood burger for sure. I went with my wife and we got 2 cheeseburgers and fries. Even when you order a small order of fries they really hook you up. Food is fast and the quality is fresh. Visited on our way home from Reagan National to pick up my 17-year old son for his summer visit. Had read a few days prior that this was one of the locations where milkshakes were being tested, and thankfully it was a convenient stop. Our first visit to *this* particular Five Guys, although the boyfriend and I are seriously huge fans of the chain. They were busy, it being lunchtime on a Sunday, but the staff was friendly and very capable of handling it. Both of my guys ordered a milkshake, then we shared two small orders of fries (one cajun, one plain) and each of us got a bacon cheeseburger with our own choices of toppings. The burgers, were as always, divine, they got our orders perfectly right. The cajun fries disappeared faster than the plain, but we ate almost all of both. Both my son and the boyfriend *adored* the milkshakes. As a matter of fact, both suggested *rather strongly* that I Yelp this meal to provide definitive positive feedback to continue producing the milkshakes :D Tables were clean despite being packed, restroom was clean. But this review is more a statement of support for the crew there on the 1:00- 1:30 on June 6th 2020 if you go in there don't be an ass. Watched an elderly gentleman constantly ask the woman who is handing out the food where his order was. For fast/casual they do serve up a damn good burger, though it's greasy as can be (might be the reason it's so good‍). People also rave about their fries but I'm not much of a classic fry fan unless they're loaded up with something heavy lol all or nothing I guess. I've called to place a order and they ask what do you want then put you on hold for 2 minutes . and when i picked up my food , they only greet females . if your a guy they just put your food down and walk away. I was just having a burger, and fries which I didn't need. But here, I got something far more filling at lunch recently. I witnessed someone going "above and beyond". A young mom with a wiggling 2 year old was finishing lunch, and the manager scooted over with wet towels to help her clean up. He took her trash to save her the effort, then, as she departed with her daughter and giant purse filling her arms, he dashed ahead of her to hold the door for her. Outstanding. This rating is 75% for the service, 25% for the food (although the food at 5 Guys is dependably good) Was in town from CA visiting my fiance and we decided to eat 5 Guys for lunch before I left. Right upon walking in, we were greeted by the friendly cashier/manager(?) I'm not sure what he was...he was like a middle aged man of Middle Eastern descent. Anyways, our food came out piping hot and it was really tasty...I wouldn't have expected otherwise. That same manager(?) walked around and checked on everyone dining in, which I thought was really professional. He had such a great attitude that it was just contagious. Decided to try this out for lunch on at Saturday around noon. Getting in and out was a little tricky and someone decided to park in a non-parking spot and eat inside which made it even more awkward. I got a little bacon cheeseburger with mayo. raw onion, pickles, and jalapenos. By the time I got home the burger was a little soggy, but I have had it before so I know that this happens when you try to take them home. I tied my fries up inside of the paper bag so the condensation made them a little soggy too. It was a tasy burger though all in all. read more

I agree, great burgers. But I only give it three stars for the atmosphere. Kudos to the Five Guys for offering free peanuts while you are waiting - but this isn't fantastic food or great service. They do all orders as cook to order, so they are definately fresh food vice fast food. And if you order one size smaller than you think you want, you'll get what you expect - except a whole lot better. And free refills on sodas are available. Now for the rest of the story: The food is okie, but not fantastic. They use a metal sheet grill, and not a charcoal gril. So you get a little more grease. At the price point, no problems. Also, the fries tend to be greasey rather than crisp. I actually like that they left the skins on the potatoes, and that they are also done/cooked fresh with each order. But the place is pretty "iffy" when it comes to being clean. I doubt they have anyone cleaning tables, since it's mostly self bussing of them - and to be honest - most people who leave their wrappers don't think about those that follow - so just be prepared to have to clean up after yourself - and possibly the person before you. Heck, I'll give them the fourth star for the quality and size of the burgers... but they really need to send someone out to clean up every five to ten minites to get anything more. Cheap eats, yeah... but just don't expect much more than a burger, fries and a soda. Better yet, use them for take out or a burger on the run - then you won't be as disappointed as I was with the eating area. read more

They had plenty of staff hard at work and a short time later we were on our way again. We went to this location for lunch today since it was on our way to a jobsite viewing. They had the order taking at the front door, all employees were masked and wore gloves. The young woman who took our order was pleasant, cheery really which made the visit in these times nice. We ordered, she took my credit card and told us to wait by our vehicle. A few minutes later she came out and handed me my credit card which she wiped off and sanitized in front of me, nice touch! We had ordered a small cheese burger with the works for me, a small burger with the works for my coworker and a small fries to share. The food came out quickly, the order was right. I can tell you a burger with the works and half a small fry is more then enough and I am a big eater. It was all delicious. I really appreciated the attitude of the staff also, they were great.
