I have to admit I've always like the five guys burger concept. They are definitely much more expensive than many of their competitors, but they still deliver a great burger. Reason I don't give them five stars is because they don't offer any alternative sandwiches (no chicken or veggie) or onion rings. You place your order face-to-face, no touchscreen. Both the tip jar and the tip screen will be waiting for you at the end of the transaction. If you get multiple burgers, they get numbered and placed on another receipt showing you what each burger is for easy identification. This place is very popular with the local high school kids and the music plays loudly overhead at this location. No alcohol sold here. Plenty of seating and Parking. I have been a fan of 5 guys for a very long time! I love that they are consistent with their food and the flavors never disappoint! I order the Cheeseburger with: Mayo Ketchup Mustard Pickles Onions Mushrooms I also order my little fries with no salt with a side of hot sauce that I dip my fries in. Tip: When I use Uber Eats, you cannot add a note to omit salt from the fries, so I call them and they always honor my request and I appreciate that! I want to give them a shout out; they are all awesome!!! This is located in a shopping center and there are plenty of free surface parking around the establishment. I had been longing for forever for one of their enormously huge hamburgers, and I decided today was the day I would break my calorie cutting days. Their burgers are great, and one needs to be prepared to burn those extra calories. Even the good stuff comes at a price! I can remember back in the day when they provided free peanuts and everyone would get a small bowl full then leave the shells all over the place. I think those peanuts have stayed gone since the days of the big event in 2021. I try to come here every couple of months, and it is definitely worth the wait. This was my first time visiting this location and it was great. I only have a burger every once and a while and Five Guys is my go to place! The restaurant was clean, spacious, and very courteous service. The burger I ordered was AMAZING! You can order it with all the fixings you like or however you want them to make it. They even have A-1 Sauce as an option. They have the peanuts too, so you can eat a handful or so while you are waiting for them to prepare your food. Great service. Five Guys before it started franchising like crazy, was quite a good spot. I understand why they did this from a business standpoint, but it's dropped the intimacy of what the restaurant used to be. Now it's all corporate feeling, instead of a family business. Their prices are way too high. I understand inflation, but even before it kicked in, they were raising prices too much. A hamburger and fries is a simple meal. This place is ultimately clean and comfortable. All of the employees are super friendly. Yet I don't think you get as much fries in the brown bag as you used to. Admittedly an opinion, but am pretty discerning when noticing changes. They need to be hot and fresh. What I received was neither. I ordered takeout at the counter and picked up my order immediately when ready. Burger patties were luke warm, bun was a soggy mess and fries were greasy, limp and barely warm. Wasted +$20 on a very unsatisfying, super high calorie meal. Not coming back to this location ever. I'm a huge Five Guys fan - their burger patties are always so juicy and full of flavor, and, they have a plethora of toppings that you can add with no extra charge. This location has friendly staff and they are always so awesome. I got the bunless option today, and you can either have a lettuce wrap or a bowl - I got the latter. The condiments, they actually put on the side for you, which was pretty nice of them to do. My husband got his usual hamburger with the little-sized cajun fries (which they always add another scoop and give you such a generous serving anyways). i love five guys! its right up there with burger king for me, but more pricey more like 4.5 stars the food is always great. wha ti have come to expect from the franchise. i got a lil burger and lil fries anywho i love this location, its down the street from where i get my groceries so it was just perfect when i needed to wind down and chill. my only critique is regarding their counter guy screaming out the numbers. their counter server just would not budge from the calling out the numbers. i was the only one waiting on my order at the counter and when he called the order out i didnt want to look at my receipt which was buried in an unending chasm in my purse. i had to keep repeatedly asking if the number he called out had the contents of my order. if there are a ton of people, then i understand this behavior, but i was literally the only person standing there for the order. there is plenty of parking. it is located in the strip mall anyways, i think i will come back to this location when i have a hankering for burger. its just too dang convenient! read more

This is my local Five Guys, and after 2 years trying to make it work here, I'm pretty much done. I've been frequenting Five Guys for over a decade at this point, and I've never experienced a location as disappointing as this. Firstly, they never remember if you've ordered a milkshake and don't make it concurrently with food, resulting in really long wait times and your take out food getting cold and soggy while you wait for the shakes. Secondly, Five Guys has always been renowned for its generous portion of fries, however, the portions here are absurdly small. Usually you get the paper cup of fries PLUS a generous overflow in the bag -- however, we RARELY even get a full cup, and NO overflow in the bag. This must be the only Five Guys in the world to do this, because I've never in a decade been shorted on fries, or not had a full cup, much less not had overflow in the bag. Like, c'mon guys. Burgers, fries, and drinks for two people here is like $30, give us the damn french fry overflow that Five Guys become known for! Comes off as cheap penny pinching nonsense. Finally, the fries are not seasoned at all and are constantly completely soggy. This has gotten markedly worse over the last two years. I'll happily pass by this Five Guys from now on. read more

My go to 5 Guys location. Always consistent, always fresh and always delicious. Plan and simple they know how to make an amazing burger and fries. Everything from the size of the patties, to the way the cheese is placed, to the super fresh ingredients, down to the fluffy bun. Everything works in harmony and nothing over powers one another. There have been a couple times where I got home to eat my meal only realize they made a mistake with my order that ruined my night. I went to this five guys over a week ago and got a hotdog and a few other things with my friend. When I had a couple bites into the hotdog I felt something hard. The hotdog had a piece of plastic in it. The plastic was not even clean. The plastic was between the meat and the bun. I called corporate to make them aware, since I love this place. The manager called me and promise me to refund me the money, he only needed the 4 last digits of my card. 5 days went by and never got my refund. I called the store and they said that the district manager had to approve a $30 refund... I find that very hard to believe. Honestly, if they had not lie to me I would have never wrote this review. Five Guys vs. In n Out: Five Guys is the hands down winner. Now DC-ites probably have known this for years, but I'm writing this for the benefit of my California friends. If you have the chance to visit DC, do yourself a favor: skip the Smithsonain and Washington Monument and take a ride over to your local strip mall Five Guys. At Five Guys they use similarly fresh ingredients. There are about 15 different free toppings to choose from, as well as cheese or bacon which can be added for a nominal charge. Personally, I was impressed that they used fresh Jalepenos rather than canned. Fries are good and cut fresh at the restaurant. A "small" is absurdly large. I sampled the plain and cajun. I gotta recommend simplicity here--the cajun was too salty. So if you're a burger fan and visiting the nation's capitol I say RUN to your neighborhood Five Guys. read more

A solid three stars and I'll explain why as I see that this is everyone's darling burger joint in the DMV with all of the high ratings..... They do a pretty damn tasty burger here and they have pretty good fries. I always order the bacon cheeseburger and get the fries as well with malt vinegar and ignore the ketchup. The thing that turns me off the most about this NE chain is the prices. I find the prices here absolutely ridiculous, it will run you well over $10 if you get fries, drink, and burger. Come on people, you don't even have the best burgers in town or the proximity of the area. I can go up to Firefox Grill which is in the same plaza on a Sunday and get a half price burger and fries which is cheaper and tastier. Z Burger is also much better as well. I haven't been to Rays hell burger yet, but I have heard they're better too. Therefore, I only go once in a while (which may be once a year?). I've been up and down about Five Guys for awhile now. Don't get me wrong, its a pretty good burger. Nothing to write home about. There are a bunch of toppings to choose from and thats always a plus. Yes, I usually get the bacon because bacon is God's favorite food. The peanuts while I wait is always a good time killer. The staff here are always friendly and get your order right every time. I don't get the fries here. I'm not a huge fan of fries, they are just a filler of sorts anyways. I still haven't had In-N-Out burgers or fries, but from what I hear, it's going to edge out my Virginia-based burgermen. Five Guys need a bun thats a bit more withstanding to the amount of toppings that are usually ordered on these burgers. They can be a bit challenging to eat unless you keep them in the tinfoil. What can I say? It had been a VERY long while since I'd been to a Five Guys...long enough that I really couldn't recall what the food was like. I just happened to be in this neighborhood, scoping out the office of a possible future new doctor (DON'T...LAUGH. Oh, yeah, like YOU never went to the Cheesecake Factory after leaving your doctor's office.) I hadn't eaten for the better part of the day and I was RAVENOUS. I really didn't care where I was going to go, but I knew I needed to get something and pronto. Once I'd walked around to the front part of Pinecrest Plaza and started scoping it out, that's when I saw the red-and-white checkered sign for Five Guys, and suddenly it wasn't even a question about what I was having for dinner. For those of you who've already been, I don't have to tell you what to expect. Though most of the tables and the lobby was pretty clean, there were a few that had greasy wrappers, crumpled paper bags and peanut shells all over the place, (they keep an open container of unshelled roasted peanuts for you to nosh on while you wait for your order.) This place is like Johnny Rocket's, but with better music and about four times less items on the menu. Burgers, hot dogs and fries - that's all Five Guys does and they do it WELL. I got a Bacon Cheeseburger all the way (but no hot peppers), a large order of Cajun Fries and a large drink, which came to just over $12.00. It seems kind of steep, but the burger was HUGE, with a ridiculous amount of crumbled REAL bacon on it (try finding the bacon on your burger in most other places.) Your order is always served in a take-away paper bag, and the fries came in a huge styrofoam cup. I thought that was the order until I looked inside the bag. The overflow from the fries nearly covered up the burger! They gave me enough to actually make up an extra order of fries (remember when Mickey D's used to be that generous?) Of course, it wouldn't have made much difference if the fries had sucked, but these were fresh, hot, and seasoned just enough so that you really didn't need ketchup. (I had some anyway.) I know, I know...rant, rant, rave, rave - so it might've had something to do with the fact that I was starving, right? Could be...but I've had enough crappy burgers to know when I taste a good one, and hungry or not, Five Guys makes a damn good burger and the fries to go with it. And not to blaspheme against the Fast Food Godz, but the meal actually satisfied me enough that I didn't feel the need to hunt down dessert somewhere else when I was done. Hopefully, the other Five Guys locations are just as consistent. You'd probably be better off find the one nearest you than going all the way out to Annandale. I will probably still go there when I have to see my doctor again, (but let's make that OUR little secret, shall we?) but as far as a casual visit, I'm pretty sure Tysons/McLean has a couple, too. read more

This bad boy is nestled away in Annandale, a place I don't get to visit very often. I decided to stop by with an out of town guest to give her a taste of 5 Guys. This particular location is much larger than it looks like from the outside AND HAS THOSE COKE -A-COLA MIX MACHINES. Bacon cheeseburger is a must hit. They loaded tons of toppings on to my burger, a single order of fries fed three people (with left-overs). Great location, if you're in the area looking for quality burger, find this one! read more
