Ordered few sandwiches to go. A lot of selections of meat and toppings. Price are very reasonable as for the Gulch, where everything seems overpriced. Sandwiches were prepared very quick. The portion of meat were very generous and good amount of all the toppings as well. However, roast beef was somehow too dry, other meat were good. In fact Grilled Chicken was very juicy. Also, some toppings were mixed up, and hot peppers were in most of sandwiches when we asked to put only one of our orders. Overall, we enjoyed our sandwiches. read more

Called and spoke to the manager and he let me know that the mistake had nothing to do with the customer service of the restaurant. Pretty good sandwiches with fast service. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, which was tasty; I just wish they put more of the chicken salad in the sandwich. I liked the option of having a thin-cut version of the multigrain bread. It was toasted well and tasted delicious. Hubby enjoyed his turkey fresco sandwich; it was packed with flavor, but needed more mayo. The giant chocolate-chip cookie was on another level! It was soft, gooey, and freshly baked. I haven't had Potbelly in a good while and the bf has never tried it so when we were on course for a late dinner, we decided to come here. Parking is difficult especially when all the cars are in a rush to get somewhere so you can't slow down enough to find a good spot. If you come across a garage in the vicinity, just go in. You're going to have to walk some anyway. It was completely empty when we got there, but some people trickled in after us. The staff weren't the most enthusiastic on a Friday night which made me a little worried for my sandwich. We shared the following: Grilled chicken and cheddar - On the small side, but packs a lot of flavor. The peppers are actually quite spicy and the bread was toasted well. Buffalo mac n cheese - Uhm...no. First off, the portion is tiny for the price. It's basically one scoop of mac with chicken sprinkled on top. It was cold, flavorless, and messy with cheesy remnants smeared on the side of the cup. We were both very disappointed to say the least. I normally love Potbelly's, but this shop bombed out on every front. Slow and apathetic service, and the Italian sandwich was more hot peppers than meat. (I usually love this sandwich and order it all the time at other potbelly's restaurants. I think the folks making the sub just weren't paying attention.) To add insult to injury, when I got out my camera and took a picture of my sandwich, the manager jumped out to say no photos. Now sure, it's a private business, they have that right. And no one wants to be bothered by a photographer when they work or eat. But I wasn't facing or photographing the employees or other customers (I don't think there even was another customer in the place). When I asked about the reasoning, he just said "company policy." Fine, but use some common sense and basic kindness in thinking about when and how to enforce the rules. The manager ("Paul"--I asked because I'm following up with Potbelly's about it) was irksome enough about it that I just left without finishing half my meal. Thumbs up to Potbelly's in general. Looks like this restaurant chain is pretty famous down there in MD. I saw a couple of these while in DC this past weekend so me n gf decided to try it out. The place was clean looking, a few tables to sit at. The staff was friendly. I had ordered the Wreck, it was a combination of a few meats, Roast beef, ham, and turkey I believe. I had it on whole wheat bread and then they toasted it. I put onions on it coupled with the Italian seasoning. I was surprised when I took my first bite that it was a little bland, even with all that meat and seasoning, it was bland. =( Maybe it was just this certain spot.
