Food is ok but not worth $8 a burger. Half the time the bun is always soggy and mashed as if it was slapped together, literally!

What people see in this place is beyond me. The burger comes to you all smushed and greasy (and I'm ok with a greasy burger, but this is an absolute grease bomb). They give you a stinkload of fries, but they suck too (they need to change their grease more often). And I don't know if I am catching everybody on a bad day, but while the other reviewers say the staff here is friendly, that hasn't been my experience. Plus, the place is usually filthy. Do yourself a favor... go across 67 and get a Whataburger. read more

I think it's okay for a burger joint in Cedar hill. I got the little bacon cheese burger with fries. I wish they cooked the jalapeños. If you want a good burger and in that area I would check it out :) there's also lots of shopping around the area so it's a good location. read more

It pains me to write this. I have never actually had a Five Guys Burger. But I had a business meeting on Tuesday and the person I was having lunch with suggested I pick a few burgers from Five Guys. My luncheon was at 11:30 and they don't open until 11 so I ordered early online to ensure that my food would be ready and I would make it to my lunch on time. It was overpriced, but whatever. I received a text at 11 to let them know when I was on my way so they could have my food ready, I did this. I then received a text to let them know when I pulled into the parking lot so they could start my fries. I also, did this. I was very pleased up to this point. ** I arrived to pick up my order only to find the door locked and discover that their grill was down** No one called me, no one cared about my order at all. I had to call them!! I was told "oh yeah, we have your order, but we can't make it, the grill is down" I asked about a refund for the $32 dollars I was charged for 2 burgers and fries and was told I would need to talk to the GM who was not in. I eventually called back and was able to talk to the GM, he offered to remake my burgers if I would come up there, but I live 30 minutes away and no longer needed those burgers at that time. He was polite, and I have talked to him since then, he has offered to remake that order for me anytime, but I was told that I would need to talk to a Area Manager about getting a refund. IT IS FRIDAY NOW AND THE AREA MANAGER HAS YET TO CALL ME!! I have called the corporate numbers and been told that they filled out a report and someone will call me to get me a refund, BUT NO ONE HAS CALLED ME! I really tried to avoid writing this review but no one at Five Guys seems to want to help me get my refund. Or at least no one with the ability to help me. Worst Customer Service EVER! This is always a goto place for us when we're craving burgers. It's great that the burgers are prepared fresh, as are the fries. Portion sizes can be somewhat deceptive, so if you can't eat a massive burger in one sitting, order the junior burger. Same thing on the fries. A tiny fries can be split be 2 people easily. I always get the junior bacon cheeseburger and add an assortment of toppings. It's great that you can customize your burger with toppings that include mushrooms and grilled onions--not always an option in fast food burger joints. Love that they have the fancy drink machines. You can customize your drink to whatever you want. The only concern you might have is the price. It can be a bit pricey, so sharing things like fries helps to manage the price. Plus, it keeps you from unnecessarily throwing away excess food. read more

I've always heard great things about this place. Today was my first time to try. It wasn't busy today because of the holiday, but I drive by often and its usually packed. This is hands down the best burger I have ever had! I have been to all of the great burger places in Dallas and Five Guy's is without a doubt my favorite. I got a single bacon cheeseburger with mustard and mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle, grilled onions and grilled jalapenos. Burger was perfect and seasoned just right. Veggies were all fresh and they didnt scimp on anything. The bun was grilled which I love. I will be a regular. My husband has been several times and not only does he like the burgers he says thier hotdogs are delicious. I didnt even see that on the menu but I will for sure be back. By the way, the staff were all very kind, but the guy at the register was a hoot! He was super nice, funny and very helpful in walking me thru the menu. Very clean also! GET yo'SELF SOME FIVE GUY'S! Very disappointed with this location. I usually go yo the one in Plano since its close to my job, but decided to try this one since its closer to my house. My mom ordered a burger with lettuce in place of the bun. Well we got home only to realize they forgot the lettuce! They also forgot some of the toppings so she was very disappointed to say the least. She also ordered a cherry shake which she said was really good until she started tasting bacon in it! My mom does not eat pork by the way. My burger was also missing some toppings, but it still tasted pretty good. I think i will just stick to the plano location after this experience though read more

This place SUCKS!!!!. This was not the first time we've visited this location. Never had an issue with previous staff until now. The staff didn't bother to look at the register when we were ready to order. Front staff attendant taking order had an attitude towards us for getting there close to closing time. I know it's late in the day but it's no excuse for not attending customers. I tried to call and have a conversation with manager Byron, but rudely hung up the phone. I had a small burger and it was really good, the meat very flavorful and the bun fresh as could be. I'm sure glad I ordered small fries because there were a lot of them and a larger order would've left me feeling really stuffed. I thought their texture was a bit odd (reminded me of In & Out Burger's fries, which I'm not crazy about) but they were okay. I learned the lesson to read the menu carefully, because when they asked if I wanted everything and I said 'yes,' I didn't realize that included grilled mushrooms! I went shortly after the place first opened and I think most of the employees were still trying to figure it all out, because it took a really long time to get my order. The burgers are small, but pretty good!! A little pricey, but for what it's worth, it's a pretty descent meal. They give you more than expected on a small fry, so I can't complain. I don't normally eat fast food burgers, but finally decided I needed to give this place a try after hearing all the hoopla about it. I'm not sure what all the hype is about, but this was a very mediocre burger. The meat was good, but had little to no seasoning. I had to add salt to give it flavor. Five Guys must be very proud of these burgers to charge close to 6 bucks for a regular double meat that added up to maybe a 1/4 pound. This is normally the price I would pay for a 1/2lb burger at a sit down restaurant. Nothing special here, as it's a chain restaurant. My cheeseburger was pretty good and the French fries are as good as advertised. As anyone will tell you, this joint is pricey but they try to make up for it with quality. They are successful for the most part. First time here love the burgers one thing I will say if you specialize in burgers there should be more choices.

Had the "little" bacon cheeseburger, fries and a drink. And while the burger isn't necessarily little, it was absolutely delicious. The bacon was crisp, the condiments fresh and tasty, and the meat very flavorful. The fries were far too mushy and too many, but still tasty. Both soda machines were out of ice, but it IS summer in Texas, so that's not unheard of. Biggest problem was the price. Twelve bucks! That's pretty steep for a "little" burger combo. So, make the fries more crispy and give me less, and drop that price a couple bucks, and then you'll get five stars. read more

Maybe this is a Texas thing, but I have to agree with everyone. While living in LA, everyone kept raving about how delicious Five Guys was, so it has been on my list for a few years to try. I finally got around to it today, and I have to say that I was a bit underwhelmed. While I appreciate the sheer size of the "Little" fries (it was really big to be little), and thought the size of the burger was fine, the cost just did not meet up with the quality of the beef. And that is where I think the Texas issue comes in. We are very lucky to have exposure to wonderful cuts of beef and it is not hard to get a damn good burger. I can tell you hole in the walls that will serve you a burger so good that you'll contemplate slappin' your Momma. The one thing I think Five Guys, or at least this location, has going for it is the great customer service. The young people working in this location are so sweet and are very personable. I like that. Also, I do like that you can choose as many toppings as you want. Too bad the mushrooms seemed to come from a can (yikes). read more

Stopped in a couple of months ago, just to try something new. I absolutely regret it. It was around 1:30 PM on a week day and there was hardly anyone there. I ordered a basic, small hamburger and small french fry, no drink. It still cost around $10.00. Too much for the quantity and quality. The burger was greasy and a bit smashed. I found the flavor to be average but the texture of the meat was unappealing to me. My real problem was the french fries. Five Guys make a very big deal about how wonderful their french fries are, with ads all over the walls and windows when you walk in. They were some of the worst fries I've ever had. I believe this was not the fault of the fries, but very poor cooking. The fries I received were limp, oily, and room temperature at best. They were very gross. I threw almost all the them away along with most of the burger. A waste of my time and money. I would never go back. read more

This is the second time I have visit the place and the second visit made me even more disappointed. I will not be coming back. What the heck does this place have against lettuce? The FREAKING price I paid for the burgers it should came with a bed of lettuce on top of it . It barely had two tiny pieces on it. It does not even qualify as a good amount of lettuce.
