    Little Cheeseburger
    Serene L.

I order the Little Cheeseburger and a small Canjun fries. The total came out to a little over $15 Little Cheeseburger The toppings I included was tomato, lettuce, onions. The burger tasted really good. I only wish they had melted the cheese a little more. Still very delicious. You can tell that the fries was made fresh and they had a lot flavor. There small is a lot more than what most places but that is taken to account that it was over $5. It is also made upon order. While you wait for your food to be ready you can help yourself to some peanuts. There were 2 boxes where you can scoop some peanuts onto a mini serving tray in the box. The inside is bright. I notice they have one of those fancy coke machines where you can customize different flavorings. Final Thoughts Food was good but a little bit on the pricier side but about the same if you went to a fancy burger place like Hops.

I'm a huge fan of five guys...fresh burgers, awesome fries. This location just opened, and I couldn't be happier. They have a friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant was clean, and service was quick! I'll definitely be seeing a lot of these guys!

There are more fries in the bag. I got a regular hamburger and the other is a double. Very good.

I'm so glad we did, because this might honestly be one of the best hot dogs in Winston. I got two dogs with ketchup, mustard, and onions, and my husband got two all the way (Carolina style). Everything was delicious. The line was a little long, but it moved quickly, and the food came out fast too, which I appreciated. The hot dogs themselves were top-tier in flavor, but I have to talk about the buns. The buns were perfectly toasted with butter you could actually taste, and it made all the difference. Seriously, I'm still thinking about these hot dogs. We'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend them to anyone who loves a good hot dog.

You don't run out of hot dog before you get to the end of the bread like some places. The chili is really good and they use red onions instead of yellow or white. And the slaw is good as well. And don't sleep on the smoke sausages. They are beef as well and so juicy. You get a choice of 5 toppings but I always get spicy mustard, texas pete hot sauce and grilled onions. You can get it split or whole. And did I mention how affordable it is? The only negative I can give is no fries, the combo comes with chips and a canned soda. You can upgrade to a glass soda for an extra $1. Give them a try and let me know what you think.

Over five years ago, I gave Joe's a chance, only to come away unimpressed. Five years is enough…read moretime to let the disappointment fade and to give them a fresh chance, right? As the name suggests, this is still an operation focused on takeaway dining, though there are some tables available on the sidewalk outside. I'd end up taking my food home on this trip though. Once again I decided to sample the Chicago-style hot dogs offered here. And there have been improvements since my first visit. The product now comes on an actual poppy seed bun, as it should. I don't think the bun was steamed though and that hurts the texture. The hot dog itself had a good snap and taste, and the through-the-garden toppings were loaded well onto the bun. Something's still missing about the overall taste though, as these simply don't measure up to other Chicago-style hot dogs I've had -- including many far away from Chicago. The build of the sandwich looks closer to being correct than it did five years ago, but the flavors are still wrong, and I wish they'd work to figure out what it is they're missing. I placed my order on site rather than calling it in, and the young lady at the counter was pleasant. It took a little longer than I'd expected for the kitchen to prepare my order; maybe they just don't get many requests for the Windy City dog and they're just not well versed in putting it together? This latest experience leaves me scoring Joe's somewhere between two and three stars, and though the food was better than last time I still lean towards the lower side of that range. Maybe their more Carolina-themed food would be better and result in a higher rating, but there are already plenty of places I can go locally for a hot dog fixed "our way," many of which would be at a more competitive price point and with better options for drinks and seating. I wanted to try Joe's because of the hot dog options they have that aren't widely represented elsewhere in this area, and in those respects I still can't find much to love here.

It is flavorful and tender, and the sauce takes it over the top. There burgers are first rate (go for the Smash Burger), as are the hot dogs, no matter how you top them off. I especially like the Chili Dog with mustard and onion, the Chicago style dog, and a simple dog with mustard and kraut! The Ribs are very nice, tender and loaded with flavor. There are plenty of tasty sides, and I love the Street Corn, the Collards, the Fried Okra, and Mac & Cheese. Joe's is the type of locally owned restaurant that I love to support. The food and service are first rate. Because it has little street visibility, it's location, is small with no inside seating, and is take out, a number of folks will never give this place a visit, and that's a shame. The burger here is as good as those at Alex's, Bobo's, Mr BBQ, and Dairi-o. The hot dogs are as good as those at Dairi-o, Mr BBQ, and Kermit's, and very close to those at PB's. The Beef Brisket is as good as any in the area, and far better than the vast majority. I highly recommend and hope you will visit.

Full disclosure, this place used to be a staple for us. When we moved to the Clemmons area years…read moreago, we would visit them quite frequently. And the food was always on point. To go orders were always fresh and cooked very well, and the few times we dined in, the service was good as well. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars has to do moreso with the past 3 experiences we've had with them. All were to go orders mind you, but there's been a drop off with the food. A few yrs ago, we ordered a chef salad that had all sorts of toppings with it. Unfortunately, the spiral pinwheel filled with meats and cheese had spoiled salami in it. I called and told them what happened and they made it right by comping our next meal there. We gave them another try and the food was ok. We normally get their wings, pizza, salad and maybe another side or 2, but that's usually our go to. The wings we ordered the following visit were dry...even the sauces they were tossed in couldn't save it. So we decided to give them another try tonight since it's been awhile. Ordered wings with a salad and onion rings. These wings weren't dry this time. However, they were not crispy at all. We expect the sauce to contribute to that some, but in this case, that made them more soggy and somewhat chewy? I may not be making much sense in my description, but let's just say I've had way better wings from them and from other places. The skin wasn't crispy at all. The salad was good....nothing out of the ordinary with this one. The only thing that stood out were the onion rings. Oh and their ranch. Their ranch, in my opinion, is the best around. It has to be homemade. I know its been awhile since we've visited them, but we may have to try a pizza from here the next time. I'm not giving them less than 3 stars because I also saw where they're understaffed currently so I do wanna give them some grace. They have plenty of food options there, but when their wings are cooked right like before, they're the best in the area.

I have a rule to never eat in my automobile. Not many option where people do eat in their car.Wooden stumps to side of place to sit but too hot for that.
