When I ordered a large drink cup was put on counter I was not asked what size I wanted. When I asked the manager on duty why she did this her response was her boss told her to do it like this. Nothing Special. Too much florescent light, no decor other than bragging banners that cant be verified. Fries too expensive. Burgers nothing to write home about. The cold Buttercrust bun was kind of a disappointment. Outside dining was noisy with traffic, and the smell of carbon monoxide. Service started OK, then was less than positive. read more

Wonderful! Simple menu and clean atmosphere. Our cashier was very friendly. The burgers are made fresh right in front of your eyes. You pay for the burger and are not charged for the toppings, even if you get them all. Fries are cooked in peanut oil which taste great and is cholesterol free. Yum yum. read more

Decided to try this place out and it was very good! The burgers are definitely worth the price. And if you notice on the menu they have "small cheese burger" or "little bacon cheese burger" it's not little it just has one patty! And the other regular burgers have 2 patties. They also give a lot of fries. A regular order of fries can feed two people. Only reason I didn't rate this place a 5 star was because the seats aren't comfy.. prefer booths but that's just me. Corpus Christi 5 Guys. It's named that, because it takes 5 Guys to make one hamburger. There were 5 people behind the counter, and only 2 people in the restaurant. Yet they managed to mess up my order. So after I returned it and waited another 15 minutes, the guy behind the counter actually tossed at me onto the counter. Too expensive and too rude. I had the bacon cheese burger and tried each of their fries, they offer original and Cajun. Cajun fries were very good, I liked the dry rub. Original fries were okay, I think the only reason I liked the fries with Cajun on them is because the spice made them more bearable to eat. The burger was good and juicy, the bacon had a very good texture. However, for me and a guest, just ordering a burger, fries, and a drink each, it was $25. Pricey for what you get. Five guys only gets two stars from me today. In the past, it was good, but quality at this Corpus location seems to have dropped off, and here is why. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger for myself, and my wife also ordered the same. When I opened my wrapper, all I had was bun and toppings, with no meat. I look at my wife's burger, and she has two patties on hers. The cook put my burger pattie on my wife's burger and left me with nothing. And people who work in the fast food industry want $15 dollars an hour??? Continuing on, the mega portion of fries thing is getting real old. I used to like the huge portion of fries, but now, getting my hand and arm scalded by hot grease to get my burger out of the bag just isn't fun any more. I would imagine the profits would go up if they would back off on the huge portions. A look into the trash container on the way out confirmed this. And they just aren't crispy either, just greasy, over salted, and kinda mushy. But that is what you get when you leave the peel on the potato and you don't double fry the fries. I had to get someone to refill the ketchup containers, as apparently these are not monitored anymore. Also, this location has very poor air conditioning, so expect to be hot and uncomfortable while eating. Price is on the high side also for burgers and fries. Like I said, I used to like this place, but there are many other options out there with a more comfortable atmosphere and better prices. Grrreatt!!! The burgers were better than, say, last night's barbecue. Why? The stuff that around the meat is good. The toppings were fresh, the bun was really, really good, with a lot of texture. The meat patty was thick and juicy, but not greasy. To go with the burgers, we got two orders of large fries, one Cajun and one regular. The fries' flavor and perfect salting were da bomb. The Cajun fries were spicy as expected and really, really salty, so i recommend the perfectly salted regular fries. I mentioned earlier that we got large fries and each order came in a paper grocery bag. The four of us eating couldn't even make a dent . Two orders of large were enough for about 20 oil field workers after a long day. And to wash it all down, you get custom flavored drinks from the touch screen fountain drink thing. Came here today wanting a dog. Wasn't too impressed. I had the bacon cheese dog with mustard, ketsup, raw onion, & relish. I didn't care for the relish. It was too sweet and spicy for my liking and the bun was split on both sides. I couldnt tell whicj side to hold up. The fries were fresh but the cajun fries had too much seasoning (also too spicy ). My daughter wanted a malt and they didn't any that, but did say they were getting one soon. I also liked the fact that they had peanuts to snack on while your waiting. Tons to choose from as far as drinks. They have two of the new coke machines that you can flavors and three teas to choose from as well. My fiancé had the burger and he compares it about the same as In and Out, which is amazing in book. Clean inside, but only one toilet in the women's restroom which is strange to me. Best burger and fries I've ever had anywhere. The dining room can get crowded and little loud during peak times, but it's worth it.

This place is pretty pricy for burgers, but I think it's definitely worth it. The burgers are pretty big and the I love their cajun seasoned fries, a small fry is more than enough for 2 people and I usually tell them to go easy on the seasoning, otherwise the fries are drowned and it's way too salty. So, we have enjoyed 5 guys for awhile. However the last few times we got home with our to go order, it was wrong. And, our fries were very oil soaked and limp. Being a to go order does not seem to be the reason since in years past they were still quite nice upon arriving home. maybe the order should be repeated to the customer ? maybe oil needs to be changed more often since another review seemed to have the same issue? read more
