I wanted a good burger tonight but I lacked the will to find a new burger spot so who else would I go to over ol' faithful? Little bacon cheeseburger all the way and a little cajun fry please. The workers seemed a little laxed but they can sure throw down at this location! My burger was seasoned well and was piled high with toppings & the fries were also hot, crispy, and plentiful. Though a mundane detail, tonights batch of taters came from Rexburg, Idaho. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I like that that sort of transparency. As always there are peanuts to snack on in the meanwhile but I skipped that tonight and dove straight into my meal and finished off with a cookies n' cream milkshake. You can't go wrong with Five Guys.

Whenever a new Five Guys opens up, I love the gleaming white walls, everything is spic and span clean and the staff are eager to please. I really hope that the management can keep this one up because the ones by us have fallen by the way side and are a mess. Just walking into this one is like a breath of fresh air with every table and chair wiped clean and precisely aligned like a military marching formation. Opening a restaurant during the pandemic is a risky business. They've taken this into account with barriers between the booths, but the high top tables in the middle are wide open. The burgers have gotten pricier since the last time we've had them. $9.29 for a standard 2 patty Bacon Cheeseburger, but at least their policy of all free toppings is still a thing. If you want a single patty burger, that's considered a small. You can order your burger All-the-Way, which is topped with ketchup, mayo, mustard, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, lettuce, tomato & pickles like my wife does. Because I only like mustard on my hot dogs and mayo on my deli sandwiches, I like to customize my burger with grilled onions & mushrooms, green peppers, BBQ sauce and topped with pickles. They smash the fresh beef patties on the grill, layer the American cheese on each to melt and always cook them to well done. The bacon is deep fried extra crispy and the whole thing is wrapped in aluminum foil. It's better to eat in and I open up the foil as soon as I get it, because the heat makes the bun a gooey mess if you take it home. Don't forget the fries, which are fresh cut daily and you see the origin of the potatoes posted up on the board next to the register with the bags of potatoes piled up along the line as you enter. They're usually fresh fried to order and served in a paper cup, but they always add an extra scoop of fries in your bag, which is generous. If you like your fries spicy, get the Cajun seasoned fries. If you see the fry guy or gal putting the seasoning in your bag, ask them for an extra shake. If you like your fries New England style, grab a bottle of malt vinegar by the condiments. And don't forget to get your own tub of ketchup to double dip as much as you want. I almost forgot about the peanuts! While you're waiting for your order, you can scoop up a boat of AYCE roasted peanuts to shell from the box by the drink dispensers. And it's free refills on the drinks as well, so mix and match to your heart's desire from the electronic single point Coke fountains. They also serve my favorite Gold Peak Iced Green Tea from a separate dispenser. Don't forget to refill for the road!

Food is fresh and the facility is immaculate. The burger melts in your mouth and the bun is very soft. Very clean!

I admit it, I love the skin! We ordered a bucket of 8 pieces, and chose mac and cheese and cole slaw. We also ordered a side of jalapeno corn bread. There's really no good news here. The chicken was so dry inside, we couldn't eat it and thrw out all 8 pieces. The mac and cheese wasn't terrible, but I've certainly had better. It too was dry, and was basically one big piece of mac and cheese. The cole slaw was..... interesting. It was an odd pinkish color (red cabbage?) with really no sauce that I could find. My hunt for great fried chicken,,,, withnthe damned skin on..... continues.

The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a restaurant in Nashville. The menu and the drink list really transport you there as well as the live music. The band was so good! I'm on a diet and the waitress was able to work with the chef to accommodate my needs. I was so impressed. I will for sure be back again. I ordered the sweet potato bowl with brisket, tomatoes and onions. I had one drink, whiskey pig bourbon, was very good. The restaurant has a fun cocktail list and a lot of bourbons. Can't wait to take my husband here

Our server Jacqueline was very sweet and attentive. We had ordered a cider flight. 3 out of 6 tasted like an IPA and we asked to swap it out. They were very accommodating and swapped it without question. Our guests' Bloody Marys were strong and spicy. We tried the short rib skillet, short rib sliders, American breakfast and breakfast burrito. The short ribs were soft and tender and the garlic Parmesan potatoes were AMAZING. (My mom actually went and spoke to the event manager to make sure we could have them at my shower.) The bacon was crispy and eggs cooked perfectly. Brunch prices were very reasonable considering the portions and quality. Overall, it was a great brunch experience and we can't wait to come back!

First off, I hold Tap Room to a very good standard as I have been to the Huntington and Bayshore locations and have had great experiences however I was not a fan of the Farmingdale location food wise. I went about three weeks ago and had a pretzel and a whiskey burger. The pretzel was delicious but the burger was tasteless. I thought that maybe its an off-day or something. I came back this past week and had the 20 for $20 wing special. My wings were dryer than the Sahara Desert. I chewed them and had to spit them out. I feel bad saying this but im still going to come back. The food is typically good, great deals on drinks, the staff are always friendly, but the food lately was not good. I will definitely be back for a third try.

My brother has always wanted to try this place, but we never had a chance to actually step foot inside the Library Cafe. As the name suggests, the restaurant sits at the site of the old town library, and the bar area has tall shelves and a rolling ladder to pay homage to the name. To maximize the restaurant week menu, three of us tried different appetizers. The ahi tuna taco was the best of the lot- crispy shell and nicely prepared tuna filling. The Thai calamari was a little too overcooked and the sweet sauce was cloying. I didn't get to try too much of the French onion soup because my dad almost inhaled it whole, but it was gooey and comforting. I had the honey-soy glazed salmon with broccolini. The salmon was a little dry, but the glaze and cashew went well with it. Maybe a touch of spice could have improved the dish. The broccolini was nicely textured and not too bitter. My mom's fish and chips were underwhelming, though the not-proper "chips" were well fried and seasoned. It was not served with vinegar either. My brother had the Buddha bowl which he enjoyed and felt was a good health conscious option. I did love that they allowed my dad -- who was not feeling too well-- to order just an entree while the rest of the table had the restaurant week menu. I know some restaurants require all members of the table to order off the prix fixe menu sometimes. He had the burger, which was cooked very precisely to medium-rare. We did have dessert though we were stuffed at this point. The sticky toffee pudding cake was lovely, moist, and so decadent without being overly heavy. I ordered the wild berry cheesecake, and while the clearly house made berry compote was a nice touch, it was just a little underwhelming next to the sticky toffee pudding. Overall, we had a good time at the Library Cafe, and though service was a little slow due to sudden rush of diners, it was a fun little weekday dinner. I did see signs for their happy hour, which I'd love to try-- especially their cocktails named after writers!

Never went to a bar that needed a rolling ladder to access the top shelves. The high ceilings ( believe it was a renovated library ) even allowed for a small sailboat to be displayed above the main entrance foyer. Shout out to the staff. We were immediately welcomed by the bartender and informed we could sit anywhere rather than wait to be seated. Our server Annie was exceptional: welcoming, friendly and attentive with some appreciative suggestions from the menu. The menu, excluding the St Patrick's March Menu, was your typical American bar pub food fare: appetizers, sandwiches, burgers and limited entrees. Started off with the onions soup which was cheesy but light on onion slices but very good. Passed on the St Pats March Menu ( except for the Guinness beer ) and stuck with sandwich options. The sandwiches came with a side ( other sides available with an up charge). The sliced steak sandwich, roast beef French Dip sandwich and classic burger were all cooked to perfection and served with either a salad or waffle fries. The Library features an extensive cocktail menu with creative names of famous authors and even novels. In addition there is a separate open air event area ( above and overlooking the restaurant floor ) for private events or parties. Overall a great place to grab a drink and enjoy some good food that's reasonably priced. Definitely will be back when in the area again. One note Street parking is limited but there are municipal parking lots nearby.
