Today I thought I'd treat one of my many, beautiful daughters "Lauren" to Five Guy's. A burger joint recently located to LV, NV. Within the last couple of years anyways. I roll in and up to the counter, and glance at the menu. Having been dieting for the last couple of months, prior to the buffets, I knew I was coming in hard, like an eagle perched on a ledge, ready to devour anything and everything that comes within the grips of it's talons. This guy needed a burger, plus Lauren is a burger aficionado. Five Guy's seemed like a great place to grab a quick bite and as told, a good burger. That previous referral didn't include sticker shock. $7.50 a burger, pick your own toppings. Hmmmm. Regular fries $4.09. Milkshake $4.49, Regular soda $2.39 with free refills. I was about ready to turn and walk, but was lured in by the free peanuts at the doorway, and the need to burger down had me wondering if their product was worth their high prices. Jimmy John's was next door but Screw it, I was in the door munching on nuts, while discarding the shells all over the floor. After all, the signs said at the doorway, that Five Guys was Zagat Survey Rated, and voted best bargain by the Washington Magazine. I know, so what, and who cares. $28.09 for two. Two drinks, one fries, and two cheese burgers. Free nuts. Did I mention that? $14.00 dollars a piece. I want my daughter to enjoy this, so I'm not going to bitch, but I thought I hint to the lead cashier that their product seems a bit pricey for a imitation type diner, burger fast food franchise joint, with peanut shells all over the floor. Did I mention that? I expected to hear him say, Well sir, our beef is a 100% all natural fresh grass fed ground beef, with no antibiotics, hormones, etc., and our fries are freshly cut from responsible Idaho farmers that grow natural russets without the use of pesticides, herbicides, Fertilizers and such. etc. Also sir, Our shakes are derived from the finest dairy creams that money can buy that is sourced from the finest dairy cows in the state of Vermont. Grass fed dairy cows Sir. Sell me on why I should spend damn near thirty bucks on two burgers , one fry, and two drinks. Did I get that. Hell no. I got, "I wouldn't eat here". Your right, it's two expensive, and than the cashier had the balls to refer two other burger joints to me. Helloooo. WTF. My order was in. $28.09 later, the burger were double stacked fried greasy slop burgers, nowhere worth the price, This is not a step up from BK, Micky D's, and even Wendy's has them beat. The fries were better in quantity than quality for a regular size order, and the shake for $4.49 was all of 16 oz. Five Guys, you suck, and before you know it, you will be Zero guys. Best five guys in town when it comes to service!!! Diego really took care of us! Last time we went in for to go I ordered lil cheeseburger w extra mushrooms but when I got home only to realized there are no mushrooms on my burger. Then I called in spoke to Diego and he said he will put my name on the book and next time I come in he will take care of it. Called in today about 2weeks after, one lady insisted that she did not see my name there at all. Diego took the phone and told me just come in and he will take care of my order. So I ordered 3 burgers and 1 lil Cajun fries, for pick up. When I came in I was expecting to pay for my other 2burgers and my fries but again Diego took care of my whole order! To begin with, I wanted a good burger for cheap so I went to in and out, which was packed to the brim, the line was pouring out Into the main road, so I came to Five Guys because though they're slightly more pricey ($1.50) per burger, I knew they would be reliable. My girlfriend and I walked in and ordered a decent sized order and the cashier was very friendly and helpful. My second point to this great review is that there was a little bit of wait which was completely understandable with my order, and my girlfriend and I weren't even sweating it BUT without me saying anything the nice lady behind the counter apologized for the wait and even went as far as giving us a free milkshake of our choice. Now I'm very glad I went to Five Guys rather than In & Out because of the amazing service and quality of food. The food was cooked freshly as Five Guys always does, and I was very very satisfied with my experience. I'm not even going to consider In and Out next time, going straight to Five Guys. Been coming here for years with no complaints. The last 3 times I've been here they really have been giving me less and less fries. Why? I've always gotten the regular fries for $5 and it was always plenty to feed me and a friend. The past 3 times we got about half the normal amount.... wtf. Did you guys have a meeting or something? The burgers are pretty good. I don't really like the style of fries. It's kind of annoying that they only give them in to go bags. It's annoying that the cup that holds the fries is too small for the actual portioning of the fries. The burgers are over priced and so are the fries. I don't appreciate them bumping music either. I don't go in there playing my music, they shouldn't be playing loud rap trying to get us to leave. I get that they closed but then again it wasn't busy and the tables were dirty. We came in 20 minutes before closing so I understand that they play music after closing, but don't blast it for three people. read more

I called this specific location right now to ask how much a simple meal would be and whoever I was on the phone with was clearly irritated with just one question as he said, "hold on" and then proceeded to say "oh my god" 3 times with attitude. My rating is not about the quality of the food nor the quantity. The burgers are huge and tasty, and the french fry orders are generous to the max. It was obvious after my first visit that I only needed one order of fries for two people, there was so much left over! But you see, my wife doesn't eat red meat so I get her the veggie burger. I place my order online from home, where you can customize everything and see exactly what you order. There are a wide variety of toppings to choose from, another plus with 5 Guys. But my wife does not like mushrooms. In fact she HATES them. But on 3 out of the 5 times I've been to this location, they put mushrooms on her burger. 3 strikes, yer out. I caught major grief for this, will not risk a 4th time. It seems they make the veggie burgers in auto mode, just the same way every time, otherwise how to explain the same mistake 3 times? Is it really too much to expect that an order will be filled as placed, that they'll actually read it and follow it? I wrote directly to the restaurant and did get a response from a manager there, apologizing and offering me a free meal. But I was given no way of collecting it. No matter, I will not be back even for a freebie, it's just not worth the grief I get for not unwrapping her burger right there in the store to check it before leaving, just too much trouble. This is by far the worst place I have ever been to in my life. I am a vegetarian, so naturally I ordered a veggie + cheese sandwich, minus the mushrooms and onions. After I paid $22 for 2 meals, a young girl in glasses called me up to the counter and said, "are you sure you don't want the mushrooms and onions, because it will just be a cheese and pepper sandwich?" I said, "yes, I want a grilled cheese with peppers basically." She said ok and her and her VERY unprofessional (staring constantly) coworkers began to make my meal. When it arrived, it was freezing cold. Looked disgusting. It Wasn't grilled, obviously. I didn't even bother to have them remake it because I was so repulsed already by the behavior of everyone there I knew I would flip out. Needless to say, I let it be. I took 1 bite of it and nearly gagged. I asked my girlfriend if she would finish it. As she started to eat it, I heard one of the gentlemen Say, "she ain't even eatin that sandwich." I knew it couldn't have been me they were talking about. Then i heard the little girl in glasses say, "I told her it was just gonna be peppers and cheese, WOWWWWWWWWWWWW." When entering you have to figure out the way to front counter. I watched several people walk around due to how compact everything is here. The food is just as consistent with any other location and that was a plus. The tables are right on top of each other making it an uncomfortable dining experience. There is the smallest aisle to get to the front if you need to use the restroom, refill your drink or pick up your food. I also feel this place to be dirty. It is. I love this location!!! Working for l INO for 2+ years, it's understandable that I can be picky about my burgers. However everytime I come here these guys (and girls!!) Out do themselves. Just ordered my food and went to get a drink. Almost all the flavors are out, and the tea machine only spit out straight syrup. I went to tell the girl behind the counter, to see her texting on her phone, with her gloves on and on top of a food prep station. That alone was breaking a lot of health codes. I then try to find a clean table to sit. All of them had food on them and there were only 2 other people inside when we tried to sit down. Maybe get off your phone and clean the lobby. I hope this burger is worth the money cause this may be my first and last time ever going to a five guys. Well tried to eat that abomination of burger. Good burgers, grilled mushrooms, and onions are a good touch, self serve peanuts is kinda nice, gives you something to munch while you wait. Fries are really good, and they give you a lot, enough to share. The only real negative is not so much for other people, but not a fan of stacking the garnish and patty so it looks really tall. Not into eating a baseball-shaped burger, and assembly is inconsistent. That is the only negatives, the inconsistency of assembly, and would prefer a larger patty rather than stacking it higher. Really, I don't know how anyone eats 3.5" wide by 4" tall burger? A triple must be impossible. So I just stick to the little burger, and they are good. read more

If you want good burger - can't get any better at any price. This location like most has a great staff that normally you don't comment on regarding a fast casual but these guys were engaged, witty and offered great service. The burger (small bacon cheeseburger with mayo-lettuce- raw onion- fresh jalapeño or the Jim as I call it) is great. Fresh, hot, juicy and done on a great bun. I ask for my Frys a little well done and they crisp them up which is another plus in the service category. Then the staff wonders the the joint asking how things are and offering refills and such. I ordered for online pick up on 6/20/20 around 6pm and walked into this location to pick up my order. Myronne, the person working the bagging station and handing out the orders, was super nice and very helpful! First, my boyfriend was handed his milkshake from a different employee prior to getting our food. The milkshake was spilling over around the cup, so my boyfriend walked up to the pick up station to ask for napkins, employees ignored him and once Myronne noticed he was waiting for something, he stopped what he was doing and asked him if he needed anything. Once our food was ready, he again was very kind asking us if we wanted anything extra or if we needed peanuts. In the middle of our conversation, another employee who seemed to be Myronne's supervisor, interrupts our conversation to publicly reprimand him about a different order. During our wait in the store, this same "supervisor" yelled at him across the room to say he was going to write him up for another reason. While I don't know the entire day situation, the 10-15 minutes in the store was enough for me to know that Myronne is a very nice, friendly person, that serviced customers quickly and with a smile. 5 stars for the amazing service and food, Myronne. 4 stars for the overall experience. read more

I really wanted to love this place, but just wasn't impressed at all. Was here Sunday, Jan 3, about 11:45 am, and the young man that took our order had absolutely no interest in his job. Didn't greet us as we went to the ordering station. I even mentioned this was our first time here and he made no response at all! I do need to say though there was another worker in the lobby cleaning tables and he was super friendly, which delighted us after the stone face at the counter! My daughter and I each ordered the little cheeseburgers fully loaded. I guess fully loaded is what made the bun a soggy mess. The burger itself was tasty and very big, but we couldn't get past the falling apart soggy bun. Also we ordered a large Cajun fry to split which was way too much ( Mr personality failed to mention this to us) they were fairly good, but a little too salty. I love five guys burgers, but I also expect the same great service I have had in the past. I went to this location in the first week they were open. Well, I can say that the service wasn't what I was used to. They made a lot of mistakes and were slow. I supposed that this location would just not be as good. However, last week my co-workers wanted to go there. I didn't want to because of my past experience, but I went anyway. Well, it was a very different experience. They were helpful, fast and it was like going to any other location. I talked to my friends about it and they actually said that the first few weeks of a food location is when the business learns which employees are really hard working and who is not going to do the job right. Glad they finally opened a location near my house. Between them and Chili's, I can't decide who has the best chain burgers (in this town). They are hands down better than In-N-Out. First of all, the staff is very friendly. I love the fact that their burgers come plain and you tell them what you want on it. It makes things a lot easier. Their fries are fresh and cooked perfectly. And the burgers are prepared wonderfully too. The cheese is always melted. And the burgers and fries both taste great. Now the couple of issues... the price is rather high. It was almost $14 for a Cheeseburger, Medium Fries, and a regular drink. I hate the Cocacola Freestyle machines. They are neat looking and it's a good concept, but the drinks just don't taste right. They also taste of multiple flavors, because I'm sure the jets are the same that they all come out of. Too many places are going to this, and it's disappointing. And when I got there, the dining room was a bit of a mess. Floor needed sweeping and several dirty tables, but they started cleaning as soon as I sat down. It is a great burger and fries though. Ok, so now that I actually have the time to write my review here I go...I was sadly disappointed after my visit to FIVE GUYS. The food was not exactly as good as I expected. The "order your way, the way you want it" didn't not exactly go according to plan. We visited on a Saturday, midday. It wasn't exactly very busy. When we got our order it was completely a different order! We both ordered a single specialty cheese burgers, we ended up with a plain cheese burger and a double with all the requested add ons. Then then lady asked me if she gave me the dressings/ add ons, If I just wanted to add them on myself! Really? Uh no! So while my kid ate her burger, I waited for mine to be remade. Bummer. The seasoned fries where really good. I just which they had a better outdoor seating arrangement. In the end I was left with a burger that feel apart, messy hands, and disappointed I didn't to to IN "n" OUT. I'm not sure they deserve a 2 star, wish there were half stars. read more

I have been to this location of Five Guys many, many times. I always come back because the food is so tasty and it's the closest location to my home. However, after having at least 5 bad experiences here, I will not be returning. Every single time I've come here with my boyfriend, they have messed up on at least one of our burgers. They'll completely mix up the toppings on our burgers and we end up having to take them back so they can remake them. Today we went here for lunch, I ordered a hamburger, my boyfriend ordered a little bacon cheeseburger. When we received our order, the burger with the toppings I ordered was a little cheeseburger. The burger with the toppings my boyfriend ordered was a bacon hamburger. We noticed right away that my burger had cheese as I strongly dislike cheeseburgers (and cheese in general because I'm slightly allergic to dairy.) so my boyfriend brought it to their attention and they started making me a new one. Normally I would've just taken the cheese off and ate the burger anyway, but the cheese was melted onto the patty AND it was a little burger, instead of the regular that I ordered, so there was only one patty instead of two. Then we noticed that my boyfriends burger was also wrong (no cheese and two pattys instead of one) so he brought that to their attention as well. The manager, we believe her name was Wendy, tired to argue that we were wrong and that the burger we thought was his was mine, but he calmly explained that this was not the case and showed the receipt to prove it. She rudely argued until she finally gave up and re-made both of our burgers. I would also like to point out that I have heard this same manager talking about the employees in a very rude manner on several occasions. I honestly don't know why she continues to be employed here because it seems that every time I come in and she is working, the whole team seems unmotivated because she is so mean to them, telling them how replaceable they are and that she doesn't need them. I think it is completely unprofessional that she said these things in earshot of a customer. My recommendation: if you want a delicious burger with similar high-quality ingredients in this area with excellent customer service, don't waste your time here and go to In 'N Out down the street. Next time I'm craving a Five Guys burger specifically, I'll be going to the location on Eastern, even if it is further from home. read more
