The guys working at 12 this afternoon were awesome. They were really taking pride in their burger and fry making which was pretty cool! You see so many workers at fast food places looking miserable but these dudes were singing, laughing, just having a good time. I loved it. I have never been her before and decided to give it a try with my little sister. She loves it. I wasn't that impressed. I will say they have good burgers wish they had more options for toppings if I am going to pay $7+ for a burger. We decided to get the Cajun fries. Way to much seasoning. I am a big fan of five guys. That said, this location is a little bit underwhelming. It seems the food always takes much longer to prepare, the staff is not quite as friendly, and the location is always a bit dirtier. Although the food is consistent with other locations, the flavor is just slightly less tasty. Although this isn't the best possible review, this is purely location specific. We went here and they got our order wrong and they also had a salesperson from sprint try and sell us a phone plan while we were trying to eat dinner. She went up to quite a few people and did the same thing. I'm surprised they allow this in their restaurant. It was very rude. read more

I'm all for free fries, but when you throw burning hot fries on top of the burgers, that's not fun. Digging through greasy hot fries to get a burger ruins the experience and your fingers. The burgers are good but not worth what you pay. 4 people cost $50! For that we could go anywhere else and will go anywhere else. read more

Totally sucked!! Had lunch there today. Fries were soggy, at best 2/10. Burger was OK (4/10) but no better than you'd get at Burger King or Wendy's. In-N-Out Burgers are MUCH better at half the price, unfortunately they're only available on the West Coast. Worse yet, they give you no tray even if you eat in, just a cheap, greasy paper bag, thus when you're done there's no convenient place to put your trash. Bottom line: I would not eat there again even if they gave away the food for free. read more

Not your standard fast food burger.. The burgers are huge and juicy. Fries are greasy and not crispy. They make the burger after you order them and so The wait could be longer some times but its worth it for the burger alone. One of the better fast casual burger joints. They don't have a chicken option but they do carry a veg burger. The people are always smiling and great you , service is a notch better than what you expect from fast food joint . read more

Five Guys is great, but this location needs to work on their fries. Every other place I've gone to, they give you a ton of them. My fiancée and I could easily split a "regular" order. The Dinkytown location, especially, you get, like, an absurd amount. Here, though, they don't go as nuts. I have to order a "large" and even then, we split the fries up and say "is that it?" Maybe this one is doing the "right" amount, but compared to the other ones that I've been to, it feels like they're being stingy. At the same time, though, their fries aren't even that good. They've always been mushy and undercooked here. Now I like my fries extra crispy, and that's just not how Five Guys does things, but they're usually still tasty. Here, though, they usually taste like raw potato, and the bottom third of the cup is a mush of squished together fries. Again, this isn't a problem at other locations. I love that they opened a block away from my apartment, and everything else is great. I especially like the fancy soda fountain. Just get an expert fryer from Dinkytown or Edina to show them how to cook and portion the fries, and they'll be perfect. read more

I placed a large order for pickup, when it was time to hand out the food every single person had the wrong item! We had asked for each order to be numbered and every single one was wrong. After countless phone calls to them they finally got back to us and offered 5 free burgers to make up for the 25 wrong ones. They did figure out it was a problem with their computer system and took full responsibility but felt no need to refund us any money!!!!! I have been doing this for 3 years and have never had such horrible customer service. Although no one got the food they ordered because we didn't figure out the orders were wrong until everyone had started eating the burgers were good but he fries were soggy and horrible! I'd been meaning to come here for awhile, and I'm glad I got around to it. Friendly, clean, the peanuts to munch while wait are a nice touch but don't come anywhere near if you have peanut allergies. The burger was great for a fast food joint; I had the little burger and it was a fine size. I had the cajun fries because I like spices but I wish I'd tried the regular; they weren't too hot but the pepper seemed to overwhelm any other flavors. Also, I ordered a small and they gave me a small mountain of them. Generosity appreciated, guys, but we both know I'm going to eat every fry I'm given. If this was a typical portion then a small fries should do for two people, easily. I like the setup where you can watch the food being assembled too. read more

My sister and I stopped by this 5 Guys for the first time last Friday. The food was excellent and hit the mark set by the other locations in the cities. This place had great food, takes a little too long for the food but overall great place to eat if you're not in a hurry. Fries can be a little too salty so if u don't like a lot of salt might want to stay away from fries, for sure the seasoned. Had a wonderful experience and great food at this store this afternoon. Largely in part of great employees, and one in particular, Tommy. I believe he was the manager on duty today and I wanted to leave some feedback saying what an excellent job he did. His crew was clean, organized and working hard and he personally took some of the best care I've ever had in a fast food establishment. He single-handedly has won over a new regular and I promise I will make this a top food destination for my family and I (as if I needed another excuse for Five Guys). Even the receipt they gave me did not match my order, or the incorrect order they gave me. Not sure what went wrong but very dissapointing as I was looking forward to my food. read more
