Stopped in for a quick bite and as expected,5 guys didn't dissapoint. This location has the same as others in the area. The parking area was spacious and clean. Inside there was plenty of customers and employees dmiling and prepping food. The prices are comparable to upper end fast casual. My double bacon cheese burger was made to order like all food served here. About 10 min later I unwrapped my sandwich and the piping hot freshness smelled sooo good. The first through the last bite was so delicious. It was just filling enough to not need anything else for a few hours. I will be back to this place, one of the better locations in the kc area. I highly reccommend coming hungry, you wilk be stuffed by the time you walk outside.

I waited for my order, and went I got home I saw that they gave me old stale fries!!! If they are charging premium prices I expect premium quality. I had to throw both order of the fries away. Absolutely terrible for the price they are making people pay! I should have checked before I left, but I shouldn't have to.

I still don't get it. I tried this location to see if I just wasn't visiting the right place. Nope. I'm not saying that is wasn't a decent burger... but what is this hype? Everyone swoons and wets their pants when this place gets mentioned. I got the cajun fries only to discover they are the regular fries that get a light coating of cajun seasoning right before they hit the bag. No special cooking process... just a different salting. I don't dig their fries. They are limp and mushy. I would recommend skipping the fries (save yourself about 3 bucks) and eating the free peanuts. If you have to have them, just buy one order and share ....with EVERYONE. The burger must be a double or you will be really disappointed. The double is about the size of regular burger. They do wrap the burger in foil and that makes the cheese extra melty and the bun soft. Ok for a buger fix, but not outstanding. PS PRICEY (5.39 for a double "regular" cheesebuger) and they don't offer combos.

    Regular fries. Yum!

My order was wrong and the employees were so incredibly rude. If this is the way they treat customers, I'll never go back!

Our guests were so pleased. I've never loved a dog so much!! Also, having a vegetarian husband didn't go over well with most of the caterers we talked to. However, when we made the request, they were happy to come up with a custom "dog" with veggies, black beans and sriracha... it was so great. YUM! It was good and well balanced for a vegetarian. They were friendly, easy to work with and the food was DELISH! We love you Brock Hops!!! If you have planned a wedding, you know there are many details to work out so each vendor can make it easy or they can make things harder... Thanks for adding value to our weekend wedding. Definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed!

Super excited to see they will be at the next Yelp event (December 2013).

Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and our food came out quickly. I ordered a turkey club while my dad got one as well, and unfortunately we both had the same issue. The turkey was on the dry side, and it was sliced much thicker than I personally prefer. I tend to like a thinner deli-style sliced turkey, so it just wasn't my favorite sandwich. My mom ordered one of the salads though, and honestly it looked better than my sandwich. It was loaded with fresh toppings, and she said the ranch was excellent. If I come back, I'd probably skip the sandwich altogether and give one of the salads a try. Overall, I can definitely appreciate what they're going for. The prices are fantastic, honestly unheard of in present day, and that's the main reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3. It's a true local spot, and I wouldn't mind giving it another chance to try something different from the menu.

But they don't just do pizza, there is an array of sandwiches, burgers, and of course their famous wings (beware of the Death Wings, like, REALLY beware). The kitchen is pretty much right in front of you and pies are getting slung constantly. That Rockin' Red sauce has that rich tomato base and it goes perfectly with that toasted crust flavor that only a pizza oven can provide. Toppings are seemingly anything (I'm a sucker for fresh mozz & meatballs) and while one slice is enough for many, two is just a sweeter spot. Beer on tap flows with local, regional, & known brands. The drink menu is pretty lengthy and beers will rotate with the seasons. If you're unsure on what you want, then your friendly server is very likely going to give you some good options. The whole place seems to be held together by stickers & customer 'art', so it gives Grinders a divey atmosphere but delivers a five-star product. Parking is Crossroads, pricing is reasonable but the value is far more than the price point(s), and there's a reason this place gets national exposure. It's that good. And if weather allows, then eat out back. Underrated KC patio.

It took us a while to get through the menu because of all the fun burgers they offered. I kind of wish I tried something else because a smash burger is pretty straightforward, but delicious regardless. I also got a yummy gin drink (i'm blanking on the name) that was prepared in a cute cocktail glass. And of course, we had to get the truffle fries which were to die for. Great service, he got us in and out of there on a busy night without rushing too much. Higher end burger place with prices that reflect that, but nothing too ridiculous. We explained why we had chosen the restaurant, offered flexibility about seating and service, and asked for a manager. The answer remained a flat no. With appointments afterward, we stayed in a freezing dining room just feet from the outdoor seating we had requested. There appeared to be only about three other occupied tables, which made the inflexibility even more frustrating. I understand operational limitations. What disappointed me was how dismissive the response felt. We left feeling like accommodating our request was an inconvenience. The service staff were fine. The food was unremarkable. With sandwiches around $17 before adding tots and drinks, our lunch came to approximately $34 per person including a 20% tip, before tax. For the overall experience, that was poor value. Our office is a block away. This could have become a regular lunch destination, but I won't be returning. Customers do not owe a restaurant their business. It has to be earned. A prime Power & Light address doesn't make up for dismissive hospitality. BRGR, do better.
