I also got a yummy gin drink (i'm blanking on the name) that was prepared in a cute cocktail glass. And of course, we had to get the truffle fries which were to die for. We chose BRGR in Power & Light for a six-person birthday lunch specifically for the patio. When we arrived around noon Thursday, we were told the patio wouldn't be opening despite the sunshine and mild temperatures. We explained why we had chosen the restaurant, offered flexibility about seating and service, and asked for a manager. The answer remained a flat no. With appointments afterward, we stayed in a freezing dining room just feet from the outdoor seating we had requested. There appeared to be only about three other occupied tables, which made the inflexibility even more frustrating. I understand operational limitations. What disappointed me was how dismissive the response felt. We left feeling like accommodating our request was an inconvenience. The service staff were fine. The food was unremarkable. With sandwiches around $17 before adding tots and drinks, our lunch came to approximately $34 per person including a 20% tip, before tax. For the overall experience, that was poor value. Our office is a block away. This could have become a regular lunch destination, but I won't be returning. Customers do not owe a restaurant their business. It has to be earned. Unfortunately, BRGR really missed the mark today. Apparently the AC wasn't able to keep up - certainly can't blame staff for that one, but man. It was so uncomfortable, it added to us cutting our dinner short. Our server did greet us kindly and was quick to refill ice cold water - thank goodness! The staff members we encountered did their jobs, however, there was much they could have done to make the customer experience better too, such as smiling, a friendly greeting (other than our server), and offering solutions for problems. Problems that needed help: - the person delivering our food moved very slowly, didn't greet us or smile, barely audibly spoke the names of our plates as he put them down, and didn't say a word as he turned with a flat face and walked away. I hope he's doing okay. The interaction had a lot of room for improvement. But our orders were basically correct. - food at 5:30pm tasted like it had been hanging out in the kitchen for quite some time, waiting for someone to order it. - Brussel sprouts were hard on the inside and soggy on the outside. How? I'm not sure. - Fries were undercooked and barely seasoned. - And the new "award winning" 2026 Devil In Disguise burger is not worth trying. The description said "deviled eggs, pepper candied bacon, parmesan, bread crumbs, dill, chives, onion bun." The hard boiled eggs were tough, not fresh feeling. The "candied bacon" was 3 pieces, each the size of half a postage stamp. Didn't see Parmesan, dill or chives anywhere. They did include a sauce on the bun, like a relish or mayo with pickle chunks, which wasn't in the description. Confusing. Awkward to eat. I've had plenty of restaurant experiences where the food was less than par, but what struck me was the lack of follow-through by our server or anyone else. They just said "oh, I'm sorry" and took the food away. I was surprised at the lack of problem solving such as "can we remake the burger for you with a few changes?" Or "what can we do to make a new burger what you were wanting?" At least a manager to come say, "I'm sorry your orders weren't to your liking, is there anything we can do for you to make it right?" If management reads this review, please remind your daytime staff that presentation (even for kitchen staff serving the orders), food quality, professionalism, problem solving, and customer service matter. BRGR has one of the best burgers in the city! I was headed home for the evening when I stopped in for a quick dinner. I had the New BRGR which is my personal favorite. It has bread & butter pickles and Russian dressing. I also enjoyed a side of trffle fries. The fries are definitely split-able if you're with others! Other favorite items on their menu include the brussels sprouts, the Black Bird chicken sandwich, and the tater tots. If you're an adventurous drinker, try their brown bag special - a mystery beer fo a cheaper price. These days, it is too cold to sit on their small patio. There's nothing wrong with a classy burger, and BRGR serves just that- expensive gourmet burgers sans sides (sides served separate) so, just know that coming in. Do not be fooled even though there's no fancy frills with the decor, this is a casual restaurant, the food here is a step above normal bar food and traditional burgers and fries and the prices reflect that. The fun for me really comes in the special burgers they add to the menu every so often...once you've ordered every burger on the menu any variety becomes the spice of life. Sometimes they even host contests to see what burger makes it on the menu. As we know, pickles are having a mega moment, so one of the last burger specials had a pickle theme with fried pickles included. My favorite burgers (yes, plural) that are always on the menu include the Fast Cow, The Knob Hill, The Jalapeño Popper and of course, the classic juicy Lucy. If you feel the urge to splurge definitely add a side to your burger, or a flight of all three. But, if you must choose I say tots however, the sweet potato fries here are some of my favorites I've had anywhere- the house made ranch and ketchups are delectable dips for the fries or tots. Everyone will speak on the pig wings, but to me they aren't a must order instead I would say come during happy hour and order the cheese curds and the pickle fries, but maybe I'm a simple girl. What can I say? I love some fried finger foods with a brew. Anyways, back to the bodacious burgers because they're obviously what BRGR is all about! These are not your average hamburgers , the Juicy Lucy is a classic cheeseburger with a twist because instead of the cheese being on the burger it's inside it, just beware sometimes this burger can be MESSY, but the good kind. Nowadays you can score a summery vibe burger that has pineapple and teriyaki sauce on it, I remember having it last year and loving the sweet and savory combination of flavors. The Fast Cow is a creative sophisticated burger that uses an English muffin as a bun and crusts the patty in deep rich expresso grounds this is balanced out with creamy polarizing bleu cheese, it isn't a burger for the faint of heart. The flavors are big and slightly experimental but, they all work well together with the peppery kick of the arugula going with the bitterness of the coffee grounds and a creamy aioli to tie everything together. My only complaint is sometimes the English muffin bun turns out a tad soggy. The service here is usually pretty good, however, I sit at the bar solo so, I can't really speak on the table service. It can get pretty crowded so, sometimes the servers can get a little overwhelmed. Also, it doesn't stay open late so, it's not a past show spot it's a pre-show dinner place. read more

If you're short staffed, let the customer know before seating in order to avoid wasting time. Seems like the manager had to get, what seemed to be the only waitress working, the waitress attention that she had two other tables. Despite this, when I finally got a waitress she provided great service. The impossible burger was good and the guacamole on top was a nice touch but could've used more flavor. A FULL -- not half -- BRGR Farmhouse salad had: - 3 micro apple slices that together constituted somewhere between 1/16 & 1/32 of an actual apple - feta cheese that would equal approx 1 firmly packed tablespoon - 10 or so dried cranberries - almond slivers that maybe, if reconstructed, would equal 2 actual almonds. We have been here a few times over the years and I have never been super happy with my meal or service. But we decided to take the family again tonight after seeing a movie across the street. We sat down at 5:30 and didn't leave until almost 8pm as we waited over 45 minutes to get our drink order in before our server ever came back with drinks and then another half hour to do our meal orders. We usually order the Jucy Lucy and truffle tots. My daughter ordered this tonight, my husband had a pickle burger and I ordered the Big Kahuna. My daughter's jucy burger had two hairs on her burger and I found one in mine. My burger also came out with NO pineapple and an over cooked burger patty with cheese. We ordered medium, and all our burgers were well done. I had to ask another server to get ours to come check on us and I informed him we didn't have a pineapple and he said that is normal as another table didn't get pickles on their pickle burger either. He then went to fill water at other tables and didn't immediately go to kitchen to remedy the situation. I waited a while hoping he would return but realized that was not going to happen soon, so I ate a few bites and then saw the hair. The service was lacking starting upon initial encounter with the host and continued with the server not paying much attention to our table. To be fair, they may have been a bit short-staffed. The food did not make up for the service. I ordered a chicken sandwich and mac & cheese. The chicken sandwich tasted fine but was a bit on the wimpy side. The mac & cheese was the worst I've had in recent memory. The noodles weren't cheesy at all. It was like a bowl of plain noodles in a pool of extremely runny cheese. We saw a large table close by that had multiple orders of mac & cheese that were all sent back to the kitchen, so it was not just my order that was no good.
