This Five Guys hamburger joint is off of Telshor and less visible. It's worth the find as their bacon cheeseburger is quite fresh and good. Like how the ingredients are somewhat customizable. Also like how the menu is simply buy a la carte vs the complication of what a meal would include.

I love Five Guys. There I said it. This chain burger place is miles above McDonalds and Burger King and the rest. This chain has what can only be described as the BEST french fries in the world. Seriously. And the serving in NOT your $1 menu portion. You get some serious potato in the bag. There soda selection is miraculous. Where else can you get every variety of Mello Yello known to man? No where. I like that this place has a little outside patio for nicer weather. I like they take care to get your special order right. Want mayo and mustard and extra pickle? Ok. Grilled onion or mushroom? Ok. The combinations of toppings are endless. I get just the single patty cheeseburger. That's big enough for me. But my son goes all out for the double. These are big ol' burgers too. Juicy and delish! Did I say I love this chain? It's the only burger chain I frequent. Once you try it, you may not go anywhere else either.

I was craving a burger but I'm also watching my diet so I was pleased that Five Guys has a lettuce wrap option. So good!

I ate there last week. The food was awesome! The large order of fries is huge. This has turned out to be one of my favorite places.

Good service, good food, but loud ear splitting rock music. Like eating lunch in a mosh pit. Wear earplugs. Also no green chili.

Having a hungry stomach I started to walk over to a hot dog cart set up by the exit. I was greeted by a man who turned out to be the owner and he pointed me towards the menu. Having traveled to New York City frequently I am very familiar with good hot dogs. I scanned the menu and decided on a bratwurst and a cheese dog and a soda. I quickly had in front of me two beautiful creatilons of meat on bread. The brat came with kraut and mustard and was as good as most German restaurants. However, it was the hotdog that really stood out.... I forgot that I was standing in Cruces and thought I was back walking around New York. Thick, moist, and had all the flavor you'd hope for on a great hot dog. The cheese on top was not your standard cheap nacho cheese but something much better that just added to the hot dog. I washed down both with a dr pepper and felt refreshed and full. Total price for both and the drink was under $5 and worth every cent. I am almost hoping more stuff breaks around the house so I'll have a reason to go back to Lowes so I can get a few more hot dogs! Great service and even better food.

Of course you can get them covered in red sauce or green sauce, but the queso sauce here is really great. Sopapillas here are also simply outstanding for dessert. Go for the plain. Indoor space is quite small. Service is fast and friendly. My girlfriend and I ordered beers, the chile con queso, and two combination plates (one green one red). My favorite item was the chile con queso, served with warm tortillas. Grabbed some pico de gallo from the salsa bar to top the queso with and it was fabulous. Combo plates were good and hearty. I'd recommend the red one over the green - the pork tamale was the best item, followed by the enchilada. I didn't care for the flauta, which felt overcooked and dry. Overall enjoyed my experience.

We also got The Gizmo, and it lived up to the name--layers of fudge, caramel, salted pecans, and whipped cream madness. So yummy! If you're passing through Las Cruces, skip the chain spots and find your way to Caliche's. Your tastebuds will thank you.

They make the burgers, fries, & onion rings to order. So it all takes time!! Be patient. The burgers have that great smash crust on them but still flavorful & juicy. It's a very basic burger. Lettuce, onion, mayo, mustard, ketchup (I think?), & cheese but no bacon! Wasn't upset about that, totally understandable, the bacon would slow things down even more. Fries, curly fries, & onion rings. Pop, water, tea, & sports drinks. All in a fridge & nothing in a fountain machine. Chips if you want them. The difference between the regular burger k the great burger is the regular burger is basically a slider. Again, still reasonable. Would definitely come back. Make sure you double check the order though. My colleague asked for no mustard & her had mustard on it but an easy fix. No issues. Also, looks like you should be able to place an order online soon. This is an old school kind of place where they take orders by hand in a notebook. Honestly, loved to see it. Something so lovely & quaint about it. Come by and check it out if you haven't.
