I hadn't tried FIVE Guys in more than FIVE years and although I wasn't expecting a FIVE star experience, I was hoping for a bit more. With Covid I've definitely lowered my standards on service, food quality, and price for obvious reasons but I would still prefer having a burger at a sports bar or Pincho burger (nearby on SW 40th St) because it wasn't very flavorful. Think a slightly better McDonald's cheeseburger. I wish I had better news guy, but I don't! Fries were okay, a bit hard too, nothing to write home about. The guy at the fries station looked like he had hit his toe with a hammer, of the excitement he had at work that night. Certainly no Top Gun position but hey, I wish him better days. She took our order and our money . The joint was crowded with customers enjoying themselves and the food. The ambiance was joyful and friendly. The place was mostly filled with young people enthralled in conversation. The food was finally ready to eat and we quickly found a table and began to eat. Hmmmm the food was good, worth the ten minute wait. We finished our grub and chewed the fat a little bit before making our exit. Walking in the staff were...not friendly I am used to being told "welcome to Five Guys" not here. The counter guy literally was counting his tip money and told my girl and her mom "just a minute" classy. When "he who shall remain tipless" returned he acted as if he was waiting for us and tried to turn it into a joke. Oh and this is awesome ...as we walked in we were almost hit with the sponge they were using to clean the tiles...fun times! When our food arrived we were treated to some delicious undercooked beef that was fun too. I am a huge fan of 5 Guys but this location underperforms. Full disclosure they refunded us for the undercooked burgers but still. I really missed that welcome! Oh update! The manager was too busy on the phone to address my issues. I've been to Five Guys 3 times, and every time, I am thoroughly disappointed. In my opinion, it is pretty hard to mess up a greasy burger. At this particular location, I watched the cook over cook a bunch of patties to the point where they were broken into multiple pieces, then subsequently put them into an aluminum to go tray and let them sit, only to put them onto buns for customers. I felt really bad for the manager because he seemed to be juggling a lot of tasks, from the fryer to order fulfillment, but everything about the experience was disappointing. I am usually reluctant to give reviews below 3 stars, but I feel this review is warranted. If I wanted a dry burger with a stale bun (they toast the buns on the stove top and let them sit too long to the point where they feel stale), I would have gone to a lower end fast food location where the prices reflect the quality. Five guys is just overpriced in my opinion. I do not think I will be going back. I am mostly just venting, but I was just very unimpressed. read more

I've been to other Five Guys before and I'm a fan. This review is based on this specific Five Guys location. This is the WORST Five Guys I've been too. The only reason that I gave it a 1 star (it should be 0 star) is because the lady that took my order was nice. The good experience stops there. First off, the cook (he looks like he's in his 40's-50s) was hitting on me and it was uncomfortable. I noticed that he was hitting on another pretty girl and she seemed uncomfortable too. It doesn't stop there. I asked for no cheese because I'm lactose intolerance. I took one bite and tasted cheese. I looked at my burger and there was cheese in it. I couldn't even go up there to ask the cook to fix it because I was afraid he'll start hitting on me again. I ended up just eating the fries and some parts of the bacon that had no cheese on it. I am still a fan of Five Guys but I will NEVER come back to this one again. read more

Had a burger and fries. Loved it. Most everything else was bad. Decided to eat my lunch at the counter near the door. The counter looked a little greasy in some spots but I thought I found a decently clean seat. To my disgust, I found a line of ants running on top of the counter as I'm eating. So since my hands were already covered in glorious burger grease, I decided to endure this suffering and use my elbows to crush any ants that tried to get into my food. I quickly finished eating and decided to wash up. I get to the bathroom and find it completely void of any supplies. No towels, no toilet seat covers, no hand dryers, no toilet paper. It amazed me that the employees would let the bathroom get to this point and make no effort to restock. I counted three employees in the building, and the restaurant was not busy at all during this time. Only me and maybe three other customers were in the place. There's no excuse for the place to be this unkempt. Amazingly, the bathroom had running water, and soap. So I washed my hands, and dried off on my shirt. Pretty sad to see such lazy employees. There are tons of establishments in Miami that are 10 times as busy as this five guys, yet they keep their grounds clean, and their bathrooms stocked. If you ever get food here, make sure it's carry out. read more

I really think that their cajun fries are awesome and at this location they have a staff that knows how to layer their burger and keep it neat despite all of the toppings I get. BUT SERIOUSLY THERE'S A COCKROACH ON THE FLOOR when I walked into the bathroom. It wasn't even in the bathroom, but it was close to the side of the wall where the drinks are. Love five guys! I had the cheese dog today, which was very good. I found it odd that it was cut in haves but this is my second time at a five guys location so it could just be how it's done. (It was really good just a new experience non the less.) This location IS really cold but when I came it was crazy hot outside so the cold was a blessing in disguise. The guy at the register, didn't get his name, (don't think they have name tags )but he was awesome! As we left he told us to have a great one and hope to see us again. In a nutshell, I hate American cheese on my burger. Normally I would not mind to see that disgusting flab of artificial cheese on my burger but if I request no cheese don't go zombie and put it by default. Read the damn order!!!! I didn't complain the first time; the second and third time I took one patty out but this just makes me mad. I appreciate the fact that they re did my burguer but like anything done in a rush, it didn't taste well. It was just a hard bun flavorless meat burger. After dragging my brother to the Five Guys on 88th a couple of months ago, we decided to give it another try. :) This location is located in front of FIU a big plus. They weren't very busy around lunch time so we walked right up to the counter to order. We both ordered their little cheeseburger, mine with ketchup and mustard and his held everything it possibly could. We also ordered a side of their addictive fries. Not that I'm getting tired of the Thai Food and Peruvian Chaufa - good as well, but change is nice. I came in for lunch and what looked like a huge line actually turned out to be a well executed / made / tasting / smelling / warm / delishus (too many good things to write) burger making machine. Service was quick, friendly, speedy, and everything that I expected. My order was exactly as ordered and a big heaping scoop of fries to boot as is customary. I always wanted to Try this place out I always see it When I stop at the shopping center. Today my daughter asked me to stop by and get some thing for her I placed the order 30 minutes prior to me arriving to the shop they didn't ask me to wait some more an additional 15 minutes for me to get a burger and a fry and a shake, that's 45 minutes. Now I know this might seem like a small amount of time for some people but 45 minutes after I place an order 30 minutes prior to arriving there, which I live over 10 miles away, can be kind of disappointing. Most gruesome bacon cheeseburger I've ever had (that's a good thing). All the toppings are free. Be prepared to understand the amount of calories in your meal because every item in the menu has the large calorie amount next to it. They have two of those modern soda machines so the flavors are endless. The staff is friendly, the dining area is clean, and you can snack of free peanuts while you wait for your food to be prepared. 15 before they close they are giving me a hard time at a fast food burger place. I even only ordered a burger and apologized and refrained from ordering fries so they didn't have to use the fryer since a sigh of frustration was given after pressing each button to make my order. Listen I get it no one wants a customer before they close while they are about to leave but I'd rather have them spit in my food than give me a problem attitude and grief for trying to relieve my hunger during your business hours. Acting like my order was going to take an hour and complain really was unwelcoming and pitiful. Makes me regret using the calories on greasy food because I left more upset than when I was hungry. Shame! Teach these employees manners and how to not say rude things to customers because they are being "forced" to work. 2 stars because I know other five guys aren't this crap. read more
